Because the source material is so good.Well, yes. But exactly because the everything else is so bad already I'm questioning why so many people kept watching even this second season when not even the fights are worth a damn.

Puella Magi Madoka Magica Episode 3
Shock and awe. Literally, just damn, talk about a wake up call... Right there in your face...
Episode 4
OMG, what is happenening, twisted is not the word for this.. fine line between reality and a bad trip.
Let me know if anything needs fixing.
Man whenever you guys post Tokyo Ghoul gifs I can't help but notice just how lame the combat looks.
Is there a story reason for them painting their fingernails black

Now all we need is for that Japanese Beautiful Dreamer Blu-Ray to come out in the West.
Now imagine if you'd seen this immediately after School Days.
Greatness is happening, thats what. Madoka is the shit. Often drowned in despair and exact words, but so goood.
This show is so good. Its just sublime. And to have character designs by her adorableness Ume Aoki in addition just put it on an untouchable plane.
I know this isn't really a recommendation thread, but, other than making a new thread I figure I'd ask here.
I want to watch another series like Space Battleship Yamato 2199. The newer one, holy shit I love it, the ending was kinda tame, but overall it was really good. The live action movie sucked though.
It all seems fairly appropriate.
The thing is that I'm sure Mr. Mizushima & Co., standards must be pretty high because I found the episode rather nice, I think in line with what we've seen from the series until now! I suspect the worry was mostly caused by being a pain in the ass to deliver in time this episode achieving the specific quality threshold they wanted... hence the extra efforts with 8 different animation directors that collaborated on it! Maybe they thought more outsider people would notice this...I hope the ending to Shirobako gets Jiggly Heaven'd.
Well both the final episode of School Days and Episode three were all aboutheads, they both were missing one is sad disgusting ways...
The character designs are definately cute, but like Baalz and other have said, this is a different tone to the story than you would think from that artwork, lol.
Cross Ange <I kid, I kid, look through thread history for the "inside joke" in that Sorry I can;t help too much, I'm a NOOB Cross Ane is Sci-Fi and not too bad btw...
Madoka Episode VI... OMFG, seriously that is some messed up stuff right there..
I mean, all of their conciousness is in the soul gem now and their bodies are lifeless puppets.... crazy.
Yeah when the staff list for Madoka Magica was announced people got really excited because Urobuchi is known for writing fucked up stuff and Ume's work with Hidamari Sketch is the cutest thing in the world (aside from Cardcaptor Sakura)
Combining the two, japanese were jokingly calling it Chidamari sketch (bloody sketch).
The studio originally took great pains to try and hide Urobuchis involvement and make people think Madoka magica would just be a cute little magical girl adventure. You cant hide things from the internet though.
As far as everyone knows, the siblings relation to the Yotsuba is a state secret. Since Tatsuya displayed amazing capabilities during the competition, Juumonji just wants him to join one of the clans in order for Tatsuya to be more distinguished, the clans not look pathetic compared to a so-called nobody, and strengthen the clans overall.- If that is the case, what was that whole conversationJuumonji Katsuto had with Tatsuya outside the ball during the competition?
Also, I'm assuming the classmates know of his special powers, however, they are unaware that is is inhuman then... With him being inhuman, why is his sister, so "in-love" with him on an uncomfortable level?
Also, starting Madoka #3 now.... I think I'm scared....
Most amazing outcome was how even after the leak until the episode 3 spin Mr. Urobuchi tried to mislead people on Twitter with the 'hey, I want to make happy things too!' argument. :-DYeah when the staff list for Madoka Magica was announced people got really excited because Urobuchi is known for writing fucked up stuff and Ume's work with Hidamari Sketch is the cutest thing in the world (aside from Cardcaptor Sakura)

Urobuchi said:"It's time to recognize me as a healing-type writer."

As for his sister, you get a tiny partial explanation at the beginning of episode 1, but the full story has it's own arc, the Reminiscence chapter.

Yeah, thete is nothing "happy" about this story and I can already gringe at where it can get worse in the last 5 1/2 episodes as well.
As some were mentioning the terrible MAL rankings... Clannad Afterstory 6.....
Oh boy, I should never look at this monstrosity again.
Its not the same man.I haven't been following it but I read the manga, what happened in Tokyo Ghoul to make everyone so upset?
Check out Yuuki Yuuna later if you like Madoka.
Damn, so a lot of room for growth as I thought.

Does it have the same dark tone as Madoka? I may need to check another one off the list with a different tone first, lol
- Made Touka even more useless
So I see Tokyo Ghoul is actually a trending topic.
This distresses me.
It's actually really popular in the West.
Yeah it really is dark like Madoka but in a different way.
Its quite possibly even more messed up.
In any case I recommended Acchi Kocchi before to lighten the mood.
Ahah that's were it get gold.
she actually has 2 fiancés, juumonji being one of them .. think like potential parteners . The familly is powerfull enough to afford that and this make a situation if something happens to one ( male contenders ) easily solved.
None of them are pretty happy about that ( since it's a decision they didn't make ) even if they realise that they have both of their clan pride at stake. there is a fun discussion about that in S2 should it being made.
No the classmate know that he has ties to the military. That's all. None of them witnessed the insane "bring back people from the dead" affair that he can do. For them tatsuya being strong as he is make sense if he is tied to the military and a reserve unit.
They don't know about his condition. Those who know about tatsuya hability to reverse events ( those present when miyuki told them ) don't know about the fact that he lack true emotions or that he was the product of experiements. They think it's his innate hability ( thinking / explaining why the military would want him )
Finally , miyuki is so "in love" because of multiple reasons that would be explained in a S2. let's just say that tatsuya earned it by his actions in the past. ( it's an incredible flashback arc ). One of the reasons is that the only true genuine ( not fake ) emotion tatsuya has , is his sibling love for miyuki as it's the driving force for every action he takes. There are other multiples reasons that i can't list because of spoilers but trust me, this is not something done on a whim by miyuki.
Ps: when they met , miyuki disliked tatsuya A LOT.
That is a love story, right? I'll have to check it out..
Damn, I guess all I can do is hope they finish drawing up season 2 and start the damn thing to see how it plays out.
How many In The End ones are there?Hence my thinly veiled disgust. I understood it was popular based on the sheer volume of MAD's that I had seen of it.
A few friends and I cut the line for the Tokyo Ghoul premiere at AX on a lark. Yeah, people really like that series. Couldn't tell you why.
I posted gifs from Acchi Kocchi before!

tbh tokyo ghoul stans are so obnoxious it turned me off of even given the manga a chance ._.Hence my thinly veiled disgust. I understood it was popular based on the sheer volume of MAD's that I had seen of it.

Oh, I remember that one now, it does look look cut as hell..

Isn't Tokyo Ghoul about like sentient zombies/vampires kind of? People REALLY love zombie/vampires and stories of that kind. The Titans in AoT are basically giant zombies which I think helped with that show's appeal.

I must say, if that doesn't put a smile on your face, you must have no soul left, lol.
