Nothing really eventful happened but there was bound to be an episode like this. Most anime do.

Not that I was bored and I didn't like it. It just felt like nothing of note took place. All that happened was
Raka visiting the clock tower and her thinking that she's not sure which job she's cut out for
. But beyond that... nada.

You could say that about every episode of the show really. Makes me wish KyoAni would do an adaptation of Biblia Koshodou no Jiken Techou with the same staff so bad it hurts every time they announce something else. :(

wiki makes that sound so nice. it'd probably be something i'd actually watch instead of the fat bird anime or the autistic girl one that kyoani is now known for. rip

You haven't watched Hyouka? Correct this mistake man. Easily one of the better shows made by KyoAni. If you like Sherlock Holmes inspiration, do so as well.

But... I'm like in the middle of two watch bets and I get recommended something every other day. Yesterday I got excited and decided I would watch Haruhi Suzumiya again. You guys can't keep doing this to me!!!!

could somebody translate this to American?

Then add it to the backlog. But near the top.

I didn't realize KENN was voicing a lead character this season. Since it happened to be Majin Bone I will definitely stay watching. Whoever does the faces is doing an excellent job keeping these scenes fun, while his voice stays perfect throughout.

Something feels odd about the way the characters are drawn outside of action scenes, just something feels odd about them compared to the background. On the other hand, whenever there is action everything feels really fluid and smooth and they keep the impacts feeling great. The CG scenes with the camera, at the start of the episode, reminds me of the camera angles GYROZETTER was pulling back in the day so everything felt more video gamey and really fast. Its fun.

Majin Bone isnt breaking any new ground and isnt terrible but simply fun and entertaining. Character designs are lacking for the genre and age group but the voice cast sells it. Good start to Spring.

Gundam Build Fighters - 16

I perhaps missed the part where they may have stated otherwise but was anyone else under the impression
the father was dead
up until this point?

I was never under the impression. But then again I was against the pairing for Ral and milf, unlike 90% of AnimeGAF. So maybe all of you were hoping for it deep in your black hearts.

Why is it over ?
WHY

WHYYYYYYY

Uomi - best sister
Hagimura : best animated head sentences
Hata : Best investigator
Mitsuba : Best pure girl
Kotomi : the sister everyone needs but nobody has .
Nene : Best pool of knowledge.
Toki : most awesome jodu fight scene

Special mention ( Kaede ) :

At least your heart is slowly melting , kaede.

Hata is definitely my favorite when it comes to side characters. She's so goofy and outrageous.

Kaiji S2 12
Bog pacing or not watching Kaiji plan things is still very exciting, though I am starting to feel hints of regret about the second season at this point.
You don't even know the horrors of Bog pacing yet. Still S2 is infinitely more enjoyable than S1.

So I need to find a change-of-pace series to start because I have good/bad feelings about where Milky Holmes S2 is going.

Just give out suggestions and I'll pick whatever.

Well It's not that bad so far. Since this is 12 episode in and looking at some spoilers. (namely the number of gambles) I expect it to get much worse in that regard.
I think I'll pass judgement on how the seasons proper when I finish in the next couple of days.

I definitely thought
the kid got the dad is traveling around the world story just to hide the truth because he was too young
for that kind of shock.

I swear this looks better than some anime movies I've seen. At times at any rate. Good way to end it too that works as a great hook for the next episode.. Curious to resolution and eager to see more of Oreki get drawn out of his shell.

Definitely top-5 in terms of best-looking anime series ever if not top-3.

If their was a anime that I would recommend it would be fucking Hunter X Hunter, this anime is just brilliant with so many feels, shit made me even cry damn. Gon all the way, one the best shounen protagonist, his characterization just amazes me. This anime is a perfect mix of everything and compared to other shounen anime they pale in comparison. Just wish the manga wasn't on hiatus. Also seeing that the writer for this manga also created Yu Yu Hakusho just proves my point for Hunter x Hunter being brilliant.

ooops forgot to watch last eps of this.

mikakunin 12

kinda generic romcom ending.

still a super adorable show. if you need adorable, give this a watch!

That whole exchange between Washu and Dr. Clay may very well have been the highlight of the show so far. Just so hilarious how much she was fucking with him and not taking him the least bit seriously for the most part despite being a fairly serious situation. Then Zero got involved and it kinda got serious.

Not quite sure I'm gonna like the new Kyoko. Being more open about her feelings is good and all but hopefully she still retains most of the character she's been so far.

After War Gundam X - 27

Roybea what the hell are you doing? Shouldn't you be fighting with the others? Hello? Did I miss something here?

No?

Okay well you just let Garrod and Witz risk their lives out there while you sit on your ass.

There seems to be a thing going on here with the Frost Brothers sending in people to fight the Double X, and they all seem to be characters from totally different anime. Like, the last one was a crazy ninja freak. This episode it was a guy with a dual personality. And by the looks of the preview for the next one, there's going to be another one as well. What exactly these guys trying to accomplish here?

Wow at the General. :(
The guy just couldn't take the fact that they were going to surrender, so he just went in a suicide attack for the sole purpose of going down fighting. He literally threw himself in the line of duty for the sole purpose of dying in the line of duty when he didn't need to. Wow.

Very interesting episode. Now we learn there is
another place with more Haibane and it's co-ed and Reki ran away there once
.

Also the story at the end of the episode with
God
was also nice. It had a melancholy to it. All and all, I really liked this episode. There was more heart in this episode. It's dangling the carrot in front of us.

It's weird though. Everything feels almost too good. Like too good to be true. Why does some places let the haibane work and others don't? Why do the haibane only get second hand stuff and can't have new things? The haibane seem content with it but when they do interact with humans there's this weird friendliness? So then what's up with the first two questions then? It's these little things that I feel will come back around when things start to boil over. Of course this is all conjecture on my end.

Majin Bone 1

Okay, this is kind of weird. It could easily be a plastic shit show for preteen boys if not for the fact that the main protagonist is a porn fiend and there are occasional creeper shots of his osananajimi and such, because this is some kind of power suit anime with very toy-like suit designs rendered so cheaply in CG that only kids who have already been raised on Danball Senki and the like wouldn't scoff at the sight of them.

Let's face it, that looks bad. And it's going to be at the forefront in every episode. But you know what? I still actually kind of liked this episode.

I mean, it clearly has no unique qualities whatsoever--shounen kid is a regular shounen kid, awakens to a mysterious power, must fight for Da Earf--but I kind of like the way that it looks and moves outside of combat. It employs lots of flat shading that complements the relatively simple character designs and utilizes a color palette that straddles the toyetic line without ever going over; I wouldn't go so far as to say that it has a distinct look, but I liked it. The only other noteworthy technical aspect so far is that the OST is at least partially orchestrated, which is always a plus.

The main quartet is visually really DTL-friendly so fair warning to those with a low bishounen tolerance, but, strangely, as I mentioned before, in spite of having the look of something that would primarily appeal to young boys and fujoshi, the only character in the episode who is subject to any sort of camera "gaze" is female. I really do have no idea who exactly they're trying to target with this thing. Will watch more.

At the very least, ANN says that the character designer is Yuusuke Murata, who is best known for Eyeshield 21 and One Punch Man.

Duckroll's future has truly proven the worst possible outcome for all involved.

Saint Seiya Omega 97(End)

So this wraps up as about you'd expect:

Koga punches SATAAN hard enough that he gains some respect for humanity and peaces out for the time being, with a giant cross scar he decides to leave on his chest in respect for Koga's tenacity. Seiya didn't actually die(lol). Pallas is off on a path of figuring out redemption/love with Titan. Harbinger gets placed in the sensei-role for Saints.

The highlights of the episode were I guess Koga doing cool stuff, like Izuna-Dropping meteors. He and !Subaru blew each other's super-Cloths off pretty early off into the episode and they were trading blows in their normal outfits while shouting out their clashing ideologies about humanity, etc.

The final part of the ending was very :dtl.
Koga and Eden decide to go off on a journey of self-discovery around the world at the same time, and when Koga finds out that Eden has the same ideas as him, they decide to do it together. D'aww.

I'm not really sure why I decided to watch all of this, but the ending at least tied everything up reasonably so I don't have any complaints about it in particular. This arc was total ass on a lot of levels, too many to list, and the final fight doesn't even come close to Koga vs Abzu.

Unless you're a seriously diehard fan of all things Seiya, I wouldn't watch the Pallasite arc even to kill time. But everyone figured that out nearly a year ago already.

Figure since I'm really looking forward to Ping Pong that I'd familiarize myself with the director's previous work sooo ...

The Tatami Galaxy - 01

I'm not sure what I just watched but I think I liked it! I honestly didn't know much about this show before jumping in, something something inherently unique artstyle, something something slice of life and that was more or less all I had to prepare myself with. It shouldn't be surprising to me then that its setting itself up as a good ol' fashion story of romance but though I tend to complain about the more down to earth stories from the outset I almost always tend to enjoy watching them despite that. It's more of an issue of just waiting for these types of shows to build up to the character drama ...

In the meantime though, it's nice that I can fallback to having these gorgeously layed out scenes to pass the time.

Tatami Galaxy isn't really comparable to Endless Eight. Though I think the show would have worked better if it had been half the length given how by the end I felt like I was being browbeat by Yuasa.

"Meoooow Meoooow meow meow meow meow Meoooow Meoooow meow meow meow meow meoooooooooow meooooooooooow Meow Meow Meow"

Last episode was the best episode. Misaki's interactions with everybody were pretty hilarious, especially with Ryoko. And then the King chose that douche to be Ayeka's husband? What the hell did he see in him? He's a massive douchebag with horrible hair. Seriously how could you tell your own daughter to fuck that guy?

Mihoshi's entrance was great as usual. Was hilarious how Washu bet on her and then everybody else figured out what she meant and got their umbrellas ready.

More people suddenly watching this show warms my blackened heart.

I'll trust you guys on that, but I'm already soured by this practice because of a certain recent JRPG and now Endless Eight. Space Dandy did it well though, but it was one episode. We'll see if this falls in the Space Dandy side.
I remember not being as enamored with Tatami Galaxy as everyone else, especially since the people who disliked Endless Eight liked Tatami Galaxy. I don't know if that put me on the defensive and made me more likely to be biased against the show that I otherwise would have been if I watched it in a vacuum though.

All these years later, I'll still defend Endless Eight until the day I die. I have no strong feelings about Tatami Galaxy either way.
