Herobank Episode 1

Oh its a full length series. It has the worst lead character designs of the shows for this season. But it was a fun start to the Herobank world with a really interesting battle system and theme for money. I kind of wish they went into more detail if the money they are earning from attacks and such is used in the real world. As the real world money issue only seemed to mention that they are using their pocket change and such to rent the suits.

Attacks are all creative as well as the suit mechanic and battle scenes with even an announcer and spectatures from all around the world.
Second suit was incredible
.

They also like getting the lead nekkid though...in battle and then twice in the ED, lol. For voices one of Kaito's friend, Nagare sounds like Phi Brains FreeCell so feelings of nostalgia come about everytime he talks and says Kaito.

Working'!! 2 1-2

Such a fantastic adaptation, this anime. The jokes keep getting delivered with excellent timing and there's a lot of natural feeling body language and shots that the 4-koma manga could not have.

I can so relate to Takanashi with everything regarding Yamada

Zvezda 3

Now that's an anti-smoking campaign, holy shit hahahaha

I'm really enjoying this one, so I'll try to finish it until part 2 of JoJo comes out on Crunchyroll.

Thinking about finishing Blood Lad too, still halfway through but it was really boring.

watch Zvezda. Its worth your time!

Thoughts during episode:
- That was kind of cool fight even though we don't know who's fighting.
- These faces are kinda dumb looking.
- Man these characters faces really bother me. Why are they so wide?
- Oh look who transferred into class. That's kind of a weird remark.
- These faces are really, really bothering me.
- Faces are dumb.
- Yup that is a magical girl transformation if I ever saw one.
- WHAT THE F**K WAS THAT?! Not gonna lie that was kind of awesome.

Episode 1 End

You think those faces are wide. You clearly have not seen anything Hidamari Sketch related have you? You'll get used to them though.

And yes, the fight scenes in this show are pretty damn awesome.

A friend was telling me about the current Naruto filler arc and it sounds pretty cool, way better than the shitfest that is the manga, is the animation decent? Thinking about watching it.

Its kind of a boring filler arc because a part arc of it had a terrible kekkaigenkai it focused on and then many of the good scenes with Lord Orochimaru and Yamato are a bit too few. Good backstory but its just standard filler fair imo.

Nothing noteworthy on the visual front.

Watch this to see the one decently animated scene of the arc.

I generally wouldn't bother (well unless you miss Yamato a lot) its been pretty crap. Maybe it will get better, now that Itachi and Shisui made an appearance.

:C

I think I'll drop the manga this week, I'm impressed it took me that long.

This looks amazing!

It's not really about missing Yamato (though I do like him), but less boring arcs (fuck this war) with secondary characters doing stuff again. The best thing about Naruto to me was the amount of good characters it had, but then it became Dragon Ball and everyone was Yamcha except for Naruto and Sasuke.

Having Itachi, Kakashi, Gai and Yamato fighting made me get excited.

I wish the animation was all like this

Tonari no Seki-kun 14
I link that the opening has been modified
The tragic tale of Octopus resistance facing the giant only known as Seki-kun

That's the only word you're going to need in your vocabulary for the rest of your reviews.

it just feels like... idk, they are trying to do monty python and the holy grail or something... but the execution is... eh.

I do like how the quality seems to be downgraded to Toei level now, if thats purposeful or not.

Wake Up, Girls! Movie - So this basically starts out with the talent scout picking up girls off the street to be idols, and honestly that's what it sounds like they did with the voice actors for this show. But whatever, its not offensively bad, so I'll keep watching.

Captain Earth - 01

Yeah, this is basically what I expected it to be. It looks great, doesn't make a lot of sense if you start thinking about it, but could be a lot of fun. I'm in the "Star Driver is good" clan, so I'll stick with this one. Plus, a BONES fan for life.

Haikyuu - 01

This was really really good. The direction was great, the animation superb, and it features everything you'd want from a sports anime, so it leaves you wanting more. Glad I picked this up.

Baby Steps - 01

Not quite as polished as Haikyuu, but it still looks like a great sports show (with a romance twist added?). It gives off an old school vibe, which I like, and yeah, the main character has an awful haircut.

Reading so much praise for Baby Steps and I bet many haven't read/watched Touch. smh.

I've started to read the manga of Baby Steps and for me it's pretty amazing. The fact the guy is such a studious smart geek who draws patterns in a notebook and tries to play by observing patterns and logic makes it very enjoyable for me. Probably the most I've ever related and liked to a sports protagonist. Not many of us are praising it, just a select few who have liked the characters and enjoy the zero drama romance/flirting out of the characters so far.

I've known of Touch and it's definitely in my to watch/read list, but just because one exists doesn't discredit the enjoyment of the other.

Your favorite manga is shit.
