Thats an optional movie. Im talking about the series. Its like retconning E7 as terrible because of the movies or AO.
Eureka Seven was terrible on its own merits.

You are so adorable. But E7 does have its flaws, namely those kids. Ask Corvy how much he just loves those kids.
Not even joking, I really did hate Eureka Seven and I gave it two complete watches.
you mean you enjoyed it enough to watch through 50+ episodes twice![]()

I've started to read the manga of Baby Steps and for me it's pretty amazing. The fact the guy is such a studious smart geek who draws patterns in a notebook and tries to play by observing patterns and logic makes it very enjoyable for me. Probably the most I've ever related and liked to a sports protagonist. Not many of us are praising it, just a select few who have liked the characters and enjoy the zero drama romance/flirting out of the characters so far.
I've known of Touch and it's definitely in my to watch/read list, but just because one exists doesn't discredit the enjoyment of the other.
Your favorite manga is shit.
I'm not saying Baby Steps is shit, actually I liked the first episode, just wanted to point out that many points of praises I read are things that are in Touch, but I didn't have the time to be more elaborate, can't post longer posts at work with mobile, I can't even see the webm revolution.

I loved Eureka Seven.
But those kids deserve to die.
Squid Girl Season 2: 03
Squid Girl watches kids exercise, learns how to be more adorable.
Totally fine with that.
I loved Eureka Seven.
But those kids deserve to die.
I really need to watch this series. It just past me by for some reason but I remember seeing a clip that resonated with me for the squid girl vomiting into a pile of pasta and people lapping it up with joy![]()
I think the reality of it is that we tend to be more exaggerated with our opinions on the internet to be more expressive leaving very little gradient to them. I think if we searched honestly (which I and most others, many times. can't be bothered to do), we'd find that there's many things we like in things we claimed we hated but it then becomes a lot of work to have to defend those views to the zeitgeist which is the ultimate form of baked-in generalized over exposed viewpoints.

Is there a problem with crunchyroll? Its not playing on my Ps3 for some reason.
It's really enjoyable for a bit of an off-kilter slice-of-life show.
No problems on PC on my end.

Squid Girl Season 2: 04
Oh my goodness, the english! So wrong and so right at the same time. Surprisingly good pronunciation for the most part, too.
Sure, it looked good, but it was one of the worst pieces of shit I've ever seen overall. The story makes no fucking sense whatsoever and the MC in particular is the personification of all that's wrong with anime.Eureka Seven was one of the finest mecha anime of the past 20 years.
You know, on the other hand, you have to be a bit of an optimist to be anime fan. You have to hope that whatever show you're starting is going to turn out OK in the end, or that you were unnecessarily hard on it in the past. It's when this hope is betrayed that you get upset about it.
I watched this old Knights of Sidonia trailer so many times over the past couple of days and I think I'm changing my mind about it. I'm ready to fully embrace the CG future cause I like this action scene a lot. I just wish that Nihei has learned how to write a sci-fi story by now.

Hmmm my Ps3 is now happily playing CRunchyroll again. Might have been a temporary glitch.

This is pretty much it. Anime is far more serialized than other forms of televised entertainment, and this can be both a good thing and a bad thing. The greater investment allows for more development, but you can't just pick and choose episodes like you could with something like Law & Order. All too often anime shows will start slow but reward the viewer for their time, yet this fails to happen as well.Of course whenever I watch a first episode I hope the show's going to be good (or at least as bad as I'm expecting it to be, in certain cases!). That's what gets us to watch any TV, or read any book, surely - being a fan of anything usually involves hoping some new part of that will be good, whether a sports team winning a game or a new stamp having a particularly good design (or something!). While I don't think there's a greater or worse likelihood of new anime being better or worse than most other "New" things (depending on your tolerance of moeshit, perhaps?) the highly serialised nature of anime perhaps makes it more frustrating when things go wrong, as it makes it more difficult for the viewer to dip in and out? Maybe?

Sidonia won't be on Crunchyroll. Netflix has the series, and they'll be putting all episodes online in July - dub and sub. Since Netflix puts everything up at once, the show has to be finished first, and they don't do "simulcast" stuff.
My ears ouch. I don't know about you but I quite dislike some of those harsh (thrusters?) sound effects, there are so grating and unimaginative to me. Sort of reminds me of something like those tuning sound effects used in last years Yozakura Quartet. Of course you could argue it fits the context but surely they could have come up with something better. lolI watched this old Knights of Sidonia trailer so many times over the past couple of days and I think I'm changing my mind about it. This show needs more wacky episodes like this, this one was pretty funny.
One of my old avatars is from that episode.Maison Ikkoku 32

My brother, we welcome you into our church.
It's the pan up shot of Yotsuya as he wakes Godai in bed.Now I'm trying to remember it. Well, it's a good episode to choose, one of my favorites so far.
Doesn't sound like you've seen many then.Sure, it looked good, but it was one of the worst pieces of shit I've ever seen overall.
Of course the story made sense at least to some degree (though going into it would require spoilers), making no sense whatsoever sounds like a load of hyperbole. As for Renton, he's all that is wrong with anime? Oh please. The story makes no fucking sense whatsoever and the MC in particular is the personification of all that's wrong with anime.
Maybe Sony doesn't like your favorite anime.
I don't have enough of an attachment to most anime any more to think like this. Having gone through my CONSUME EVERYTHING phase many years ago, I now find myself treating anime like I treat a lot of live action telly - I'll watch it if I'm in the mood, but it's no great shakes if I stop watching for some reason. If a show stops engaging me enough then I just don't carry on - so there's none of the pressure to finish what I've started which avoids most of the disappointment.
The last time I watched something to completion that I didn't really enjoy that much was probably Star Driver, but then I barely "watched" that, I mostly just had it playing in the background when I did other things except for the occasional enjoyable episode.
