Wasn't it the nam that was hated on? Maybe I'm misremembering. What's generally regarded as the best model?
so generally what we've seen most of the week surprisingly. I'm impressed at how consistent things have been with this storm.
I liked Yeungling before it was popular and it really isn't the same beer anymore.I am really happy the thread turned into half yuengling appreciation and half snowstorm.
I want a gaf tradtion everytime a big storm comes to the NE we buy a bunch of yuengling.

O lord i hate snow so much and this is at 7 correct.Philadelphia is forecast to get 12-18 inches but it could be as high as 23 inches.

As a grown man that has to shovel his whole property, I love snow. Winter just ain't right without it. Cannot wait.
If your area doesn't have the equipment to deal with this weather, you really don't want it to happen where you live.damn really wish we got weather like this in the uk. We get bot all weather like this
Get out of here!
Yeah I did a year in Ireland. The weather was sooooooo boring. Sunny, some rain, some wind and rain, some sun between the rain, some more wind, rain, sun, rain, wind...
Me and the wife went a little overboard on beer purchases last night...
sixers of these:
I think we are good.
I have to fly out of Raleigh tomorrow. I take it I'm screwed.
Save your backs!
Its not fun. You are stuck in your house, and if your power goes out, which happens during Blizzards you have nothing to do, since nothing works, and you'd be really cold since the heater wouldn't work.
Why are you stuck in your house? Go enjoy the snow!!
It's picking up here in DC.
Save your backs!
The best high resolution model right now is probably the HRR. It runs once every hour, but only out as far as 15 hours.
Here is the latest HRR for 3am.

There are flood and strong gale warnings up all along the Jersey coast.
It'll feel like a Tropical Storm tonight into tomorrow, only with snow and sleet instead of rain. And it's near Full-Moon which means higher than usual tides too.
Going to be lots of flooding and beach erosion.
Yes. The storm was spotted about 11 days ago (fantasy land as we call it when looking at models) by both the GFS and EURO. If you think about it, the drama we saw the last few days, specifically for NYC, Connecticut, and New England was about a 50 mile difference between the global models (which are great at long term forecasts and general tracks of storms) and the short term, high resolution models (these are good for figuring out slight wobbles in a storm's movement and where heavy bands of snow/rain will be).
Meteorology has come a long long way in a short time.
It can be dangerous going outside during blizzard conditions.

Where are you in PG? I'm in Laurel.
haha. yes. 6" for philly. that is more what i was expecting.
Ommegang is always a fine choice. Not getting the love for ciders though...too sweet and tart/tangy for me.
I'll continue chipping away at this bottle of Lagavulin 16. Any scotch drinkers in the house?

There would be about another 18-20 hours of snowfall in addition to that though. That particular model is a short range model.
Wtf only 5 for me in jersey now ?
