Witcher 3 Wins GOTY @ The Game Awards 2015!

Well deserved, the game is terrific. I definitely consider it to be one of the best RPG's I've ever played, if not the best.

Well-deserved. My personal pick would be Bloodborne, but MGSV and The Witcher 3 are right behind it in my Top 3. All three are excellent games and very deserving of GOTY.
 
I honestly am surprised at Witcher 3 winning instead of bethesda most due to the love most people have for bethesda games.

Well deserved though, CDprojeckt has shown that they've grown with every new game they make and they seek to improve themselves every time and yet doing it with free DLC and continuous support and actual value for money content in their expansion packs. I hope more companies follow in their footsteps.
 
I dunno..I mean I love the game but they could've spread out the awards a bit.

Throw BB RPG of the year or something.It was a mighty fine competitor and equally as deserving as TW3 in any category where both are nominated.

some of the conspiracy theories in that other thread for it winning are great. I'm afraid some people are just going to have to get used to it deservedly winning many goty awards.

While I personally prefer Bloodborne to The Witcher 3, you can't really award a game as the best of the year and then say that it wasn't the best in its genre.
 
I enjoyed W3 immensely but the gameplay itself wasnt very good relative to BB. Its an accessible game which made it an easy pick for a group of judges who i bet at least half didnt even beat the first boss in bloodborne.
 
So well deserved. I can think of many smaller titles I liked more, but among AAA games The Witcher 3 was the best I played all year and it was released DRM free and without nickle & diming DLC like other AAA games. Very commendable.

Congratulations CD Projekt Red.
 
I'm a bit bummed that Bloodborne didn't win it. Not because Witcher 3 didn't deserve it but because now it got no awards at all ;-;.

At least should have gotten the art direction IMO.

Witcher 3 is pretty legit doe.
 
Guys. Bloodborne never stood a chance. It's an amazing game but its appeal is limited. It's easily the best game I've played in a decade but I never, ever, ever thought it had a shot.

The Witcher 3 is a fine choice and it appeals to a far broader audience, so it's not surprising at all that it won. It's a great game.

Well no one even seems to care about MH4U, which is a damn shame considering it was one of the best, if not the best, releases this year...
 
Fly 18 hours on a plane to be there, but can't be bothered to put anything other than pajamas on.
