I bet Studios don't see that as a problem.
Hollywood has always loved the idea of star power. I mean there's a myth that Cruise is a top drawer for Christ sake.

Pretty sure people who saw it in GAF thread dont agree with critics. Critics are sure liking every marvel movie gave bad ratings for this who knows. Its pretty solid movie. And all audience here were happy when leaving movie. I think word of mouth and jack sparrow will carry movie in international for month or morePotC isn't that great either according to critic. In fact, it seems to be pretty bad and the drop next week will show, if the audience agrees.
I actually enjoyed Covenant. Maybe the drop will encourage them to write the next one better.
I wouldn't say The Rock is a box-office draw, but in that same sense no one is. That's Hollywood's big problem right now: people show up in theaters for brands, not stars anymore.
Get Out?
Boss Baby?
Split?
That Alien drop. Ouch.
I am not going to lie. PotC did way better than I thought it would all things considered. Wonder if Disney will keep the franchise on life support, if only for the international gains.
Word of mouth tanked Baywatch domestically.
2017 is a fucking awful year for movies so far.
Logan, john wick2,guardians 2 already better then anything last year in blockbuster space2017 is a fucking awful year for movies so far.
2017 is a fucking awful year for movies so far.
To be fair split is 2016Nah. Split, Get Out, John Wick 2, Lego Batman, Kong: Skull Island, Logan, Colossal, Guardians 2 have all made this year pretty dope so far.
No, just films that are trying to do ridiculous franchises with 6 more films (Covenant, King Arthur)2017 is a fucking awful year for movies so far.

Don't forget Power Rangers! No, just films that are trying to do ridiculous franchises with 6 more films (Covenant, King Arthur)
And good riddance to them tbh
Why is Kong in that list?Nah. Split, Get Out, John Wick 2, Lego Batman, Kong: Skull Island, Logan, Colossal, Guardians 2 have all made this year pretty dope so far.

IT'S A GOOD MOVIE, GODDAMNITWhy is Kong in that list?
Star power still exists, but it is tiny and niche. Like those folks that believe Benedict Cumberbatch is a draw.

I don't agree with that.2017 is a fucking awful year for movies so far.
A W is A WBoth. Guardians is legging better than Civil War and Age of Ultron but also everything else is doing poorly
He couldn't draw a stick man caricature of Bronson
It Comes At Night should be great too. There's a four week stretch coming up with Baby Driver, War for the Planet of the Apes, and Dunkirk. 2017 hasn't even begun to peak!
I gave Power Rangers as much memory as audiences didDon't forget Power Rangers!
The number 6 is a franchise serial killer at this point.
Why is Kong in that list?
John C. Reilly really saved that movie. The rest of the humans are such bug fat nothings.IT'S A GOOD MOVIE, GODDAMNIT
Literally, if I recall.POTC deserved way less, what a shit movie. Uncharismatic leads, zero characterization, the stunts are getting old, and Johnny Depp has jumped the shark.
Reilly killed it. Damn near teared up at the end credits.John C. Reilly really saved that movie. The rest of the humans are such bug fat nothings.
It's his production agency. This was a project he wanted to do for a while. He can't take it being a failure in every regard
To be fair split is 2016

Sounds about, right. Though I don't know what you've got against cowlicks.
Really? Wow.=O
Everything, Everything is. Not teens, but Me Before You made $207 million last year.I am surprise Hollywood is still on the "Teen love story where someone dies at the end" kick, do they make money?
Please stop typing.A cowlick pushed me into a locker once
