They should cut out the open world stuff and make it a short tight single player experience with a great story. That traversal looks terrible.
Is Wolverine supposed to be a floaty jumper, or this athletic, in general?
Here is a collection of videos (runing in 4k in high eng gpu exceptlast one)from latest leaked wolverine m13 build (October 2023 development build) which found by Brazilian discord and released in last week
Anyone care about spoilers don't watch it
Draugoth add those videos to original post
I honestly thought it was just going to be like GOW: Ragnarok - not my kind of thing but something I'd have tried on PS+, or a mate's copy.Right after seeing the traversal, I thought to myself I wonder if that game would have been better done in this style instead.
I think it's will have very good graphics considering m13 build graphicsi think this looks pretty awesome. even in current state
As per leaked documents final game will be linear single player not open worldThey should cut out the open world stuff and make it a short tight single player experience with a great story. That traversal looks terrible.
I agree with you from gameplay perspective it need many changes in other hand from graphics perspective there are in good directionObviously not ready to show. these leaks might be a good thing if there can be some constructive criticism that insomniac can listen to and maybe make some changes.
I guess I can start.
So the jumping in the game seems I guess realistically sound, but I hope they make Wolverine more agile. I don't know how to best go about this, but traversal should be better.
Right now, this looks like God of Wolverine. I would have prefer a more Ninja-like approach...kinda like Wolverine in Marvel vs Capcom. DMC-esque combos, wall runs and jumps. Claw used for climbing. A camera that's a bit further back. Something like the Batman Arkham series or maybe like the Ninja Gaiden reboot. I think Wolverine is too grounded right now.
Should have gone for a 3d brawler and really focused on the combat, DMC with out guns or Ninja Gaiden as inspiration, not just what looks to be a low mobility low creativity, spiderman wanna be.
Early days though time yet.
It's amazing how little a forum dedicated to video games, actually knows about video games.
Is this…. Really what Jean Grey will look like? All masculine?

That’s exactly what I thoughtThat's just MJ but a little bulkier.
Yet here's that bloke in Wolverine... wait a minute. Maybe Logan goes drag for a sneak mission? That's just MJ but a little bulkier.

Jean Claude Van Grey
it really does. between the traversal & the jarring effect of seeing him mixing it up with realistic looking people in the realistic looking streets while in full bright yellow costume & with those huge distended claws? & everyone being just sorta fine with all this? it all come off more like some kinda silly naked gun style superhero parody than anything else...This looks fucking terrible so far
Not for nothing, but this is why we are not supposed to see alpha builds, lol.it really does. between the traversal & the jarring effect of seeing him mixing it up with realistic looking people in the realistic looking streets while in full bright yellow costume & with those huge distended claws? & everyone being just sorta fine with all this? it all come off more like some kinda silly naked gun style superhero parody than anything else...
well, i'm absolutely looking forward to this morphing into something not quite so ludicrously laughable. but i'm thinking that it's gonna require some serious morphing...Not for nothing, but this is why we are not supposed to see alpha builds, lol.
Here it's look in latest build from leaked data
This is how a lot of games look in alpha state. Most of the game systems are not even in place yet, let along crowd AI logic, nor even close to final artwork or animations. It's just a giant playground to test early character data.well, i'm absolutely looking forward to this morphing into something not quite so ludicrously laughable. but i'm thinking that it's gonna require some serious morphing...

You'd think that was obvious, yet here we are....This is how a lot of games look in alpha state. Most of the game systems are not even in place yet, let along crowd AI logic, nor even close to final artwork or animations. It's just a giant playground to test early character data.
Insomniac is not the right studio for this game. The art style is totally wrong. You want to make it in the vein of a movie like Logan, not a marvel movie for a wolverine game. The cartoony art style in the first cg trailer already felt off.Whether any of this is indicative of the final product or not, I am completely disinterested in the game. Which I find surprising, as Wolvie has always been one of my favourite Marvel characters. It *should* be a game I’m hyped about, but I am most definitely not.
He'll have multiple suits, this is not a reason to skip the game, imho. The yellow suit only works on the comics and cartoons, seeing realistic is lame AF.
I trust Insomniac, and I'm sure the game will deliver but seeing those leaked footage are sucking all the hyped away from me. Maybe it's for the best, that way they will have a better shot to blown me away with the game.
After Spider 2 I'm a bit worried ngl
running looks waaaay better
I'm planing on skip the game, but that will depend on how good the game really is. Unlike Spider 2 that I pre ordered, this one I'll way for some community reviews. He'll have multiple suits, this is not a reason to skip the game, imho.
That cant be realIs this…. Really what Jean Grey will look like? All masculine?
