And they made him a Lord of Cinder. Not for virtue, but for might. Such is a lord, I suppose. But here I ask. Do we have a sodding chance?
So uh... 60 Iron Paws... what do I buy :lol?

I want to get back into this (I stopped at BC(sort of - only 64 haha)). But I feel like I have to buy like 5 expansions and level up for 2 years to catch up...

Can you just buy MoP and play?

If you don't want to play as a monk, you don't need MOP until level 85. Leveling up takes like a few day to a few weeks depending upon your speed.

But yeah someone sending a scroll of ress will upgrade your account to previous expansion, boost you a char to level level 80, and all you need to buy is MOP.

If your us i can send a scroll of rez should ease pain. Free upgrade to cata and a free level 80.

Guardian Druid hit 90 today. First thing I did was put on my crafted PvP 450 shoulders and 450 cloak and do Coren's Brewfest fight over and over until I had two of the epic tanking trinkets. Then I just continued questing, still have to unlock the Golden Lotus dailies. I'm behind a lot of folks in this thread, but I'm happy with hitting level cap in 5 days of play time. If I was already out of stuff to do I'd be pissed. As it is, no one in my guild has done any heroics yet, and we just got enough 90's to do scenarios today.

Is that from that brewfest event? Can you get it before 90?

You can start running Coren at 89.

Monk's up to 76 now. Just keep on charging ahead, almost to Cata levels. At least those should go relatively quick.

Why is it that damn near 10 years into WoW, the typical reaction from most squishies when an add aggros them is to run away from the tank?

So, after Valley of the Four Winds at 87 - What is the recommended levelling place, from a "Oh this zone looks good" perspective. Krasarang Wilds look a bit dreary.

Wish I saw this advice before heading to Townlong and Dread Wastes, two of the most boring fucking zones in WoW history.

Man, I just logged into my 80 Dwarf Holy Paladin that I haven't played since Cata came out, and there's all these skills, and I don't remember shit about them.

Holy crap challenge modes are fun. Harder than I anticipated, though very doable. Spent about an hour and a half or 2 hours working on one, should get Gold within another couple runs, but man it's fun trying to min/max that shit.
http://www.twitch.tv/theyanger/b/334068302 best run we managed, had a blast.

Also now I realize since swapping to Ff split my audio balance is awful -_-

I did like half of the scenarios today and I have to say playing them further makes me really like the concept, especially a few months down the line when you have a 45 minute que time as solo DPS for a heroic and you want to kill some time (same can be said for pet battles too, I guess).

That said, I think what I like best about them is how different they can feel, as a bad example level 90 Theramore just sucks. It feels like a 5 man dungeon except you only have 3 players, pull trash aoe it down, pray one of your 3 people is a healer or a tank so you don't have to graveyard rush the whole thing.

On the other hand I had a lot of fun with the brew storm one. Small survival mode followed by a quick escort leading up to a boss whose main mechanic can be dodged by moving, no healers or tanks required and it's pretty fast. Same goes for the festival one as well. Clear some mini-bosses inside the town, fight off attackers trying to ruin the party and then kill a boss whose main mechanic can be avoided with movement.

They might wear out their welcome faster than dungeons since there is no loot per se, but I can actually see a time in the future where I need to grind some vp but don't want to do normal dungeons (nor wait for dailies to reset). Spamming scenarios will be a great way to counter that.

Time played this level: 3 days, 6 hours...

Yeah, I hope for a maintenance today :lol

It's agony watching that video, since our friend has yet to hit 90 on his tank. What mix of Right Back is playing at the end of the video?

I can't believe how ridiculously easy it is to level professions from 500-600. However, they really do need to streamline the 1-375 part, maybe even the 375-450. I just finished tailoring on my mage 1-600 (never again) since this was a reroll and I think this guide sums it up nicely

30 Arcane Dust
20 Infinite Dust
20 Eternal Life or Fire or Shadow
1400 Frostweave Cloth
885 Embersilk Cloth
30 Hpynotic Dust
450 Windwool Cloth

Had to farm all of that since there was either no cloth, or it was incredibly inflated. I've never felt as drained as I was when farming for the Frostweave and Embersilk.

OK, all the tillers friendships are now best friends. Now to wait day after day to hit the reputation itself to exalted.

I've also started leveling both my Dk and my farming druid, just to spend the rested bar, switching the archaeology spear between them. It's nice to kill the mobs in two or three hits with my DK.

Totally agreed on this. Grinding for outdated materials simply sucks IMO. I'd rather spend that time doing current content.

Well there's the daily quests by giving them all a favorite food. They don't show up on the map though unless you have at least one of their foods in your inventory which is kind of stupid (look it up on Wowhead.)

But the main thing is that there's these brown dirt mounds that spawn all over the farming areas in the valley that drop a rare BoP item when opened. There's about a half dozen different kinds of these, and you can turn them in to the various people to get rep. Each person has a "favorite" item which will reward 990 rep (with the guild perk) compared to only ~550 for any other item. These are pretty farmable and can be turned in repeatedly with no cap.

I farm at least a few a day, but I'm not in a huge hurry, not being close to being exalted with the main faction yet.

Might finally get MoP today, it has arrived in my city, but doesn't say out for delivery yet. I sure hope so, Pet Battles is getting on my nerves, lol, been playing it all week.

You'll be getting in at the right time, quest zones will have died down, as most people return to normal schedules!

So people who play the AH game, how have you done so far this expansion? I am up 130K or so since launch (after a disastrous 6K loss from not selecting Per Item for a bunch of auctions), but I think things are starting to slow down. The Ghost Iron Ore to Bar shuffle is pretty much dead on Mal'Ganis at this point, you are looking at MAYBE a 2G profit per bar with more risk as the AH has started to get flooded.

I finished up the Holy Paladin PvP recipes last night as well, but I am already seeing prices take a nose dive there as well. We will see how long of a tail it has this time since with Cat I was making decent profits on PvP gear for about two weeks. I can tell my stranglehold on the market has ticked some people off though as they will attempt to undercut me a few times and then finally tank the price down to 300G a piece from the 1K range.

Also, I was having a hard time going alliance or horde with my monk, but the alliance guild my warrior is in has the dark phoenix mount unlocked. Since I'm going to play a lot of the monk first, I should go to that side. Its an account wide mount, yea? I'm pretty neutral when it comes to sides, but I do favor horde. I already have 4 85's on horde.

Now I just need a name for my monk, naming is always so hard, most of the stuff I like/want to use is taken.

Eh, I don't have as much profession power right now with only 2 characters to work with, but Alchemy alone has been pretty good. Enchanting hasn't netted me anything - prices for everything are in the shitter due to the amount of people leveling and DEing quest greens. The up/down mat recipes don't help either.

I had about 114k or so pre-expansion, bought a Tundra Mammoth (16k) + a bunch of guild rewards that I hadn't had before thanks to the fast rep gains there (+ a couple new heirloom pants) for about another 10k or so in losses. I'm back up to past where I started at ~117k right now. All from Alchemy + whatever other random sells and quest rewards (I sold a BoE blue weapon for 1k, for example.) So that's about 25k+ made so far.

Some fish are really profitable. I sold 2 stacks of Jade Lungfish for 1k each, which is definitely worth the time invested, though kind of annoying since a decent amount of other people are also fishing those pools, and the pools share a spawn with another kind (that seems to be way more common.)

Haven't really sold any cloth since the AH is so congested I can barely get a scan off there.

Not sure what else I'll make money on. JC market is also kind of fucked up due to the way recipes are gated this time, but I've been holding off on leveling that because I want to mine the ore for myself as I level my warrior. Doesn't help that there's an extreme surplus of gems and not nearly enough gear with sockets out there to make use of it.

Inscription seems like it may be one of the best things at the moment with the new Darkmoon decks and Epic Offhands, not to mention the shoulder enchants. It's more gated than any other profession right now due to the absurd Spirit of Harmony requirement for the extra Scrolls of Wisdom. Don't have my scribe on Mal'Ganis though, so I'd have to be making money on my old server to later bring over eventually.

A lot of the cooking mats can be exchanged at the cooking daily hub for an ironpaw token, and then you can buy a stack of whichever mat you like. Cheap stuff to the more valuable I'm getting 3-5x my gold back.

I can't find a single egg anywhere
I checked at 2am nothing

ffs -.-

they hotfixed the ridiculous respawn rate on eggs 2 days ago... :p
now it's way harder...
anyway....
jp are fucking useless...
by the time i'll have enough rep with those factions (considering they're locked unless you're revered with golden lotus... and that takes a LOT of grinding) to buy jp stuff i'll be fully decked 463 and blu 460 jp items will be shitfodder.....
dinged 90 on saturday night, by sunday late evening i was already sporting ilvl 458 equipped (with a pair of 396 tier leg on the top of the cake, thanks sha of anger!!)..
getting geared is fast, heroic are steamrollable (no offense, but this is NOWHERE close to tbc or even cata hc.. so easy i'm gonna cry XD the ilvl 440 requirement for lfg is WAY overtuned)..
game is fun again, but daily rep grinding is fucking stupid... they should have just left it as a tabard rep grinding :)

oh well 1-2 week and we'll resume the standard raiding schedule so i don't care too much, i'll simply ignore rep grinding... i can play 2-3 hours per day save weekends so i really cba to spend 1+ hour to try and do a shitload of dailys :)

Oh man, I knew my old server was medium-low pop, but being on there this morning (not exactly a busy time, I know, but still) the place was a fucking ghost town. Not even 50 people in Org, like 10 at most in Vale, less than 20 in Jade Forest, etc. So glad I moved.

What do we even get JP from now? If Scenarios offer VP, dailies offer VP and the only dungeons at top level offer VP.. what's left?

dungeon boss?
you get a shitloadish amount while running hc for drops... but you can't spend them until
1) you're revered with golden lotus
AND
2) you've earned a decent reputation with ANOTHER faction that has what you want
considering step one alone takes what? 5 days worth of dailys, lest you run 1-2 hc per day (i run 8-9hc/day) by the time you've got enough rep into the second rep where you want something... well chances are you'll be already decked in full 463 or really close to that :)
