My current main is a female Night Elf Rogue. I don't generally like the way Night Elves look, its that my wife originally rolled the character and loves female Nelves; however, I think female Night Elves look good as rogues because I like slim, stealthy looking characters as Rogues.

The female night elf is, or was, almost legendary to me. Watching the cinematic on release day and log into Shadowglen was awesome. One of my best gaming experiences, first year of WoW that is.

My hunter is a female worgen for the same wife-related reason.

My shaman is a female draenei because the males look stupid huge and I already had a Dwarf shaman on another realm.

Female Draenei make for the best Alliance shaman. Horde you have a lot of good options though.

Yay, I got exalted with the Lorewalkers and bought the disc!

I really liked reading and watching the stories, fun stuff.

A little bit heretical since my main is a Troll Druid, but I love female Night Elves as Druids. Not only is the caster form model perfect for wearing leather, but they've got the prettiest cat and bear forms, especially the snowy white ones.

Can you get Primal Eggs from the Dinomancers? If not, i'll just kill the Direhorn Hatchlings then.

Not that heretical, since the Night Elves are just a different breed of troll!

So, I stopped playing WoW 2 years ago (Let my account expire in January of '11). This past weekend I noticed I had a 10 day free trial to MoP. Figured why not give it a try, its only 10 days, and I had nothing going on over the weekend. Might as well fire it up and poke around, see what's new, right? Did some of the early Pandaria content and enjoyed it. But, since I can't really get anything accomplished in 10 days, I decided to spend some time hunting down old rare drop pets and mounts from old content.

Clearly the game is trying to entice me to stay, as I have got two Phoenix Hatchlings and the Stratholme Deathcharger already.

I don't see the appeal of wasting a ton of time for regular looking mounts just to increase the number.

I guess I still got that Malygos mount to farm.

Oondasta was a good dinosaur this week. Got the neck, which is better itemized than the valor neck, and then changed spec to blood and rolled the tank neck.

Edit: Getting loot I don't need ... noooo wasting luck. Got the dumb belt off Jin'Rokh.. downgrade :(.

It's really not that bad now, especially being account-wide. Just need a few of the rarer ones to easily push you over.

Yeah, you can already get a pretty large number just off the Faction mounts alone, which you can knock off pretty easily as it is now just running dungeons for Faction Rep. (~82; assume you all have all faction mounts + panda faction mounts)

After that, it's a matter of doing other Factions for mounts (Netherwing or Skyguard for example), or going for Achievements, Rare Drops, or whatever.

Think I'm up to like 142 Unique Mounts at the moment. Kinda working on getting Alliance faction rep mounts since they don't seem to have Horde equivalents as far as Account-wide is concerned when I finally made an Alliance toon.
(Not a big deal, just slightly annoying. Most of the other stuff does transfer over like Flying mounts and some other crap like the 5.1 mounts, Spectral Mount, etc.)

I bothered with Oondasta exactly once. We failed at corpse-running and it all fell apart. Did they make it a little more reasonable when they pulled the ability to CRZ?

They cut his HP by 50%.

Good day for loot, just got the 2H sword off council, not the one I was looking for but since the sword I want drops off any boss the chances of seeing it in LFR are slim to none.

He's a lot easier but poorly-organized groups will still get crushed over and over again. Looks like 5.3 is going to make the runback more amenable to fighting him at his spawn as intended. The cliff zombie strategy is so fragile and reliance on it has caused more wipes than it has to.

I hate yooooouuuuuuuu.

Your loot today is what I get in a month!

Huh. So I decided to create a new character again, and just for kicks, I pressed "Randomize".

The first hit was very close to "Twiggy".

I decided to just adapt it. Guess sometimes you get lucky with naming.

Starting areas are quite lonely, though.

I'm going to make you feel worse, ran the 2nd part (don't need any loot from there) got another neck and Ji-Kun hatchling pet! Smoothest LFR run I've had ever, no explanations were needed, everyone did their job.

Asked a Blizzard employee on twitter if we'd see Rexxar, Gallywix or more Chen in the lead up to 5.4, only one he mentioned was Chen and that was in the book :(.

So I played some PTR last night.

Went to Northern Barrens and joined a raid to see what was going on there. There's loads of new style Horde areas across the place, all with hostile level 90 Kor'kron mobs. (Outside of Orgrimmar is similarly decorated, but the mobs are elites)

On the map, you see an X appear, which is a Kor'kron commander. Some of these fights seemed really hard and possibly bugged, but we beat them anyway. Usually they didn't drop anything, but one time I got a Latent Kor'kron Chest, which would "Become an item suitable for your spec with a Mojo". Not sure where to get the mojo.

Occasionally there were warnings about Kor'kron caravans being overturned, and on the map there would appear a resource icon. Going there sure enough had a Kor'kron caravan for scavenging, but none of us could see any way to interact at this point.

Also, from time to time, we would get a zone warning about a friendly caravan about to make delivery. For example, "A caravan from Stonetalon Mountains travelling to Crossroads has appeared!" Escorting it was fairly easy, all of the ambush mobs were standard level 90 fare. Upon getting to the destination, everyone who helped recieved a "Kor'kron Supplies" which when opened had stacks of things like oil, food and lumber. The text for all says "Hand in to Vol'jin in Durotar to aid with the siege of Orgrimmar." Sadly we could not find Vol'jin.

One other neat thing I spotted was in Org, where the troll district is completely locked down. Kor'kron guard every entrance (though not hostile, you can go in) and trolls aren't allowed out. All the NPCs have stopped offering their services, instead giving flavor text about the situation.

Welcome to WoW. I hope you enjoy your stay here. Forever.

Another subscriber! Stay awhile. STAAAAAY FOREVAAAAAAAH!

Maybe I'll be Twiggy or some variant without just slapping in numbers tomorrow.
If you're likely to end up in the raiding game, make sure you select a name that's either easy to say or shortens nicely. It's surprising how distracting a lengthy name is when I have to bark out an order. There was one player who's name naturally shortened to a racial slur - completely unintentionally - so I kept stumbling around how to give him orders.

I'm still on Starter! Makes me wonder whether I should get the Battle Chest or everything ($20 VS $60 + pending subscriptions or prepaid time)

That makes me wonder whether it's possible to use a BattleTag fallback. Even then, both are very similar, with the BattleTag being the intended name (without the identifier or "kludging" the name). Just call me Twiggy if you ever meet me. It's easier that way, and that's my tag.

*wonders about Real ID*

*also wonders what region and realm everyone plays in. He's in Oceania/Saurfang/Normal because it defaulted to that after picking his choices for region and game settings*

Don't kill me - I'm considered "new" to MMORPGs, so if anything, use full terms. Also, if I'm using voice chat, expect a surprise.

I'm on Area52, used to play on Thrall / Thunderhorn though. If you or anyone else wants to add my Battletag, it's Gonzolio#1392.

Had a good night for loot in LFR last night, got two agility axes to replace my fist weapons which I was almost sure I'd be stuck with for awhile. I totally wasn't expecting to get a second one when I did the bonus roll but low and behold.

So, I have a vague Easter project lined up. I've been letting the guild lie fallow for too long now, starting with the fact that Guildomatic has fundamentally become shit at this point meaning that the site hasn't been updated in quite some time. We're down to just a few regular officers, and so the workload's gone down to just what we can handle; we're basically treading water. In actual raiding and progression terms, though, we're okay. 10-man raids regularly, progessing slowly but surely; some great players, some average ones, devoted and loyal. It's a casual attitude but pushing a little harder than other casual guilds. Downed Shek'zeer just before 5.2, quickly mopped up Terrace with the buff after 5.2, and now starting to push properly into ToT, having only really downed the first boss and not attempted Horridon onwards properly since then.

The problem is, it's pretty much unanimous: We all really want to be a 25-man guild again. We had some runs of that size early on in the expansion where we had more players, and we enjoy 25-man raiding more; but we're on a sleepy server, recruitment is tough, and the playerbase is limited - put it this way, last night the best guild on the server... got a realm first Sha of Fear heroic kill. That's where this server stands. Playing here is the *real* hardmode!

So, yeah, that's where we stand. Our biggest boon is where we stand socially; we're a very close-knit group. Drama's fairly low, and people generally have a lot of faith in each other. I don't think we're guilty of being cliquey, although we have had one or two incidents where our long-established players have closed ranks in defense of a good friend being criticised by a new recruit. People who've left us do still seem to recall their time with us with fondness, so we're doing *something* right, at least.

So, where does this leave us? I'm pondering a big guild relaunch. We certainly need a new guild site, first of all - I'm perhaps leaning to Enjin, but there's a few options. Any ability to archive the content we have on guildomatic would be a huge boon. We need to fill the officer ranks out a bit more once again, and have better-defined officer roles. Advertising's the tricky bit, given that I feel I'd need to be completely honest about the project and the prospects (might require a lot of patience while we get numbers together, and we simply might not make it to having enough for 25. The people who sign up for it deserve to know exactly what they're letting themselves in for!). What *might* give us a small edge is the fact that there's not all that many guilds pushing for 25 at the moment; I think there's two on alliance side?

The other thing I'm pondering is a server transfer for the guild, but I'm not sure that's not simply running away from a unique challenge. I think the players that fit our guild are here, somewhere. We've just got to find them.

(And just for good measure, I'm going on holiday for several weeks at the start of May, so anything I do needs to at least be able to run without me at that point!)

Anoregon

The flight plan I just filed with the agency list me, my men, Dr. Pavel here. But only one of you!
I kind of hate what this dumb green fire farming is doing to me. I get all angry every time I miss a kill. I don't need this level of stress!

We *finally* beat freakin' Sha on normal last night.

Actually we had a really good raiding night last night - we cleared Terrace in a single shot then did the first boss of ToT.

What a difference not having our downer DPS Monk does.. Wow...

But no weapon dropped off Sha, sadly. And I won the helm token that I'll probably use for my DPS help since I already have a 496 helm.

Right now, we have to look at doing Horridon - our DPS is better without that Monk, so we might have a chance.

I'm in the proper game world now.

It's so... colourful. It's beautiful in its own way. Sometimes I just want to set the graphics settings to Ultra so that I can enjoy the scenery even if it meant 15 FPS at the native resolution. It's just so pretty, I want to enjoy it. Too bad I'll settle for Good anyway because I get 50-60 FPS

I think I'm growing accustomed to my new character. I wonder why...

Also did my first dungeon raid today... is that right? Was level 15 when I done that, and it seems like I teleport in and out of such dungeons, with the help of 4 other players. I felt... strangely invincible. I see that skills are very important in maximizing damage and minimizing damage taken...

I think I might be picking up this game way faster than I have thought. The only problem... I think I'm inching very close to the Level 20 cap for free players. And I want to stay.

Oh my gosh.

Oh my gosh.

Low lvl dungeons are very easy, so yeah, you might fight yourself invincible while doing them. Especially if your group is filled with veteran players with godlike gear.

Try other classes or races once you hit lvl 20, but looking at how quickly you're lvling and loving the game so far, i suppose you might as well just buy the Battle chest. It's only, what, 20$?

Just hit exalted with Order of the Cloud Serpent. It took about one week of dailies and the revered commendation. That was much easier and faster than I ever imagined. Are all the Pandaria reps that easy to complete? Cuz I've heard so much bitching about them haha

You can do Cloud Serpent in a day if you get lucky with egg spawns.

Yeah I went Honored -> Exalted over a weekend just by grabbing the onyx eggs.
