Wow, Vol'Jin looks awesome now. Looks like the Trolls in Warcraft. I remember how bummed out I was when I first played WoW and the trolls were little twigs. I hope that's what the new models look like.

No? I listen to techno/dance and video game music mostly. I don't even listen to the radio. Why not have deadmau5 or something?

omg i love dead maw 5

If we aren't getting new races, a new class is almost assured. Those are the big selling points of a new expansion.

Yeah, that's what I'm thinking, and since old race revamp makes new race incredibly unlikely, it's almost like they need a new class. DK definitely shook things up balance-wise for a while, but they managed to slot the monk in pretty well in the cycle of underpowered/middling/overpowered across the specs, just like any other class, so hopefully they aren't terribly averse to adding more this soon.

Ah, that's too bad about the dual wielding. Never liked how platewearers looked with two swords. and I always liked the aesthetic of the DKs with the big ass axes.

I agree. However, the dps dual wield spits out is retarded. Once I get my other 1 hand from normal SoO, I am going to howling blast some shit. Unholy 2h is still good, but the buff to our mastery, and frost strike dmg increase really made us just want to go frost.

Blood DKs are practically faceroll characters until the very top end.

They really are, but if you want to be good, and progress on a blood dk, you need to know your shit. Also, if you don't have blood tap, and you are relying on rng,.... you are gonna have a bad time.

What's this Grom business? The expansion is the Dark Below and will concern Azshara and the last of the old gods right? Taking the fight to the Burning Legion on Argus with the demon hunter class won't be for another expansion.

The Dark Below is not even a thing lol.

Not to mention Wrathion has been teasing us about the return of the Burning Legion during the whole expansion. If the next expansion isn't even about them, i don't know what was the point of all that.

There is significantly less reason to believe the next xpac will be azshara/old god related than there is to believe it will be Legion-centered.

Especially with the fact we know Turalyon and Alleria are coming back soon as well (Implied to be next expansion). They would have absolutely no relevance to an old-god/azshara plotline, but arguably some of the most important lore characters for a legion themed one.

And the lore tid-bits we got from the Warlock green fire quest... There is a lot pointing in that direction to say the least.

While the evidence does point to Blizzard having the Legion return to Azeroth, I will be disappointed if the next showdown with them does not involve Argus as a new "continent" Outland style. I also think that they've just about explored all they can in WoW and need to move on to a new game, so I think having multiple Burning Legion expansions to come would just be redundant/stretching the game thin. Granted, I'm just imposing wishes as predictions when there's no reason to believe they'll come true, but that's just the path I think would be most sensible in terms of ramping the game up to a natural conclusion. And regardless of how they handle the legion, my bets still on Azshara/old gods for the next xpac.

There's still plenty of "places" to explore, even before they dip into making new places in the Nether. South Seas and Emerald Dream for example.

Damn. I dunno if it's just me, but I did 10 man SoO last night after doing 25 man, and it seems a lot harder. Everyone has to be on their game.

This is pretty cool.

When you start the game it says Blizzard Classic Arcade, which makes me think the rest of their games will be making an appearance, can't wait for Lost Vikings. Someone should make a thread.

I'd be happy if Orcs and Humans and Warcraft II became available again.

Well shit the quality of the acts wasn't always going to go up I guess :(

Hell, South Seas are home to the Tomb of Sargeras. Just saying.

Agreed. I'd spend a shitton for a GOG style treatment of all their older games. I want to play the original Diablo on my modern machine damn-it.

I would assume the South Seas and the Tomb would be involved in an Azshara related expansion given her relation to Sargeras.

I'd argue that her story is a lot more tied with the old gods at this point in the story, but yeah, It will likely happen when we get to dealing with her.

I love the posts about Blink 182's age, yet the last 3 bands were all started around the same time or many many years earlier.

Foo Fighters in 94, Tenacious D in 94, and Ozzy back in the 70's.

I might be trying wow again since my friends are getting back into it. I used to play vanilla WoW back in the day (made it to lvl 40 as a night elf Druid before I quit). I know a lot has changed. Which classes are considered the best nowadays? I'm somewhat feeling a tank like character.

Honestly Blizzard has done a great job at making each class pretty balanced.

If you're feeling like a tank character, Warriors, Monks and Paladins all do quite well early on. Druids are decent at lower levels, but they don't get many tanking tools until a bit later on.

If you have an image of a tank in your mind as a guy in armor and shield, then yah Warrior or Paladin. Paladin is EZ mode while leveling, just because they have so many early AOE attacks. Warriors do a buttload of single-target damage though as tanks and hold their own.

Leveling is quicker now, so feel free to try them both! All 5 tank specs are perfectly fine at endgame.

I just want heirlooms, only reason I don't wanna level a panda again

Eh, you get them at level 12 after an hour or two on the Panda Isle, that's not bad at all!

Finally killed him!!!! Fuck yes.

Your posts honestly helped me out big time, since I finally realized phase one was my problem. I stopped trying to be cute with the angels, waiting for a perfect path to Ahoo'ru and whatnot. I just blew the Angels up ASAP as I spawned each one and got to phase 2 with about 68 seconds left. I had gotten hit by three of the floating orbs, but my pet tanks him in phase 2 so it wasn't that much of a problem. Beat the timer with like 10 seconds left.

I also got a bit lucky with procs. Two legendary cloak procs and my Haromm's Talisman all went off in the last 30 seconds so I was hitting him pretty hard.

Glad you could do it. I love my Brawler mount and pop it out every now and then since the other color variations are still hard to get so it's pretty unique to use.

Blizzard has been bleeding subs for awhile now. What's the one class from Warcraft 3 that will make people go nuts like DKs did in wrath? Demon Hunter. $$$$$$$$. One caster, one melee, one ranged spec, ez.

Not to mention Illidan confirmed to return in the future and people begging for this class since Vanilla. Lines up with the burning legion themed rumor as well.

I think Shadow Hunter's more likely than Demon Hunter, honestly

•Ranged. Last two heros were melee
•Vol'Jin is warchief and also a shadow hunter
•Another class to roll on bows instead of yet ANOTHER sword using class
•Because I want it.

And most importantly, it would give them an excuse to make hunters happy as well because they'd use this as a reason to finally let you equip bows on display instead of your never used melee weapon

Nothing can stop Blizzard from giving Demon Hunters a bow/gun/crossbow spec honestly. Like Anbokr said, give them a melee spec, a ranged spec and a caster (or tank) spec and it will make people happy. And it would fit much better a Burning Legion expansion than Shadow Hunters.

Of course, i expect most Demon Hunters on the Alliance side to be Night Elves. :p

Monk or pally imo. They both have 3 specs that cover all roles.

Badass new troll model plus new class with a ranged spec would make me very happy.

I'd love to see how blizz approaches a pet-less bow class. It shouldn't really be any different from a caster, as there is no more minimum range/deadzone so you don't actually need a pet to hold aggro at a distance, but I imagine there would at least be mechanics that helped you maintain distance to some degree.

Haha yeah I remember that. Hitting 10 and learning tame beast was serious business. My hunters were always orc/troll so that meant immediately running west of razor hill to snag a raptor.

Also you had to tame three beasts before you could actually do it yourself.

Run here and tame.
Run back.
Run here and tame.
Run back.

etc

And then the pets you tamed were really small :D
