They will free it up if the character is on an inactive account, if the account is active they wont free it up.

Try an older mount. It's probably something to do with the older models being crappier everything.
That mount is very new.
IMO, suck it up till level 85-90. 4k gold will roll your way in the form of quest rewards, professions and some potion of luck-style farming if you're still short.
High-speed flying is really nice, but not necessary. You should get the 4k just by questing, probably halfway through the 80-85 bracket. Keep in mind, you can't fly in PandaLand until 90 and you should definitely have the money.
Otherwise, can make money while leveling up by selling Frostweave and Embersilk cloth if you aren't using it.

Think of it like this: you can either ride a bicycle or take a cab. Or you can save up for your own car.
The slow mount isn't even as gimped as it was back in the day. Then it was torture and I spent those first weeks just grinding stuff so I could have my own flying ferrari.

No, other mounts look fine, even on beta the character shadows are ass for some reason. Does it look better for other people? Just trying to see if its on my end.

Tanking is fairly easy until you need skill in addition to just gear (so for the average player, never). The hard part about being a tank is that everyone else in the group looks up to you for guidance and you are expected to know what to do in the fights.
Now this doesn't stop completely clueless people from doing the fights, but nothing will ever stop that. Just read up a bit on how it works and practice in a LFD run or something. Heroic raiders are so overgeared for that content that I can facetank them as a clothie.

I havent been reading up on the beta, how much of a ability trimmimg are classes getting. because when you stop playing wow for awhile and you play other games, you realise how ridiculously bloated WOW is
Some are getting more taken away than others. You'd need to read up on it yourself to get a better idea.

Not a big fan of LAS like in Wildstar and Guild Wars, disliked how they tied weapons to skills in Guild Wars, and how Warriors only used Swords in Wildstar.
I don't feel too bloated in the current setup, but yeah things like recklessness and skull banner should be tied together.
I'm glad I'm not playing beta this time around. It'll be the the first time going into a new expansion fresh. I'm looking forward to it.

I was actually thinking about heals, like like... dude I dont need 4 single target heals, I need 1, maybe 2 (a fast one and a slow but big one).
But speaking of WoW and other games, and not to turn this into a fanboy war, its not even about trashing other games, but even being away from wow since...fuck, last year now, its amazing how much that game got right, how much it just...feels right. Im trying to play Secret World again, I played it 2 years ago on release and a friend of mine keeps raving about it, and im just not enjoying myself again.Which is a shame because the setting is right up my alley and they seem to do a lot of neat things, but then you play it, and the characters have no weight to them, animations are all janky, many times spell effects dont even show, just shit like that which WoW nails perfectly and most other games dont.
The "lack of weight" is something that drives me crazy in mmos, and for whatever reason, it seems that most of them are like that, its like the characters are on a different playing field than the environment, they feel like they are floating or sliding, I cant explain it. I hated that about Wildstar, or Secret World, or...well, like I said, most of them. Why is that so hard to nail?

Proving Grounds is good for nailing the basics.
Went in there with a Mistweaver, 15 minutes later my head was full of "...what". Don't like that spec. Or class. What a waste of time levelling a Monk was.
But on my Resto Druid it helped a lot, I have to say. Better than just diving into a heroic and not giving a fuck about failing a group.

I just leveled a Mistweaver, and actually liked the style in 5 mans. I went to my first LFR and by the first boss knew that the spec wasn't for me. I've mained a resto shaman since vanilla, and Mistweaver made me realize that I hate reactive healing.
Brewmaster and Windwalker are 100% more fun than Mistweaver.
It would be really rough to go from not having played wow for years, to 're-learn' the game in it's current state, only then a few months later to have to re-re-learn when the next xpac comes out.
Speaking of the xpac, how are classes shaping up in the beta?

I've already got all classes on the go in one form or another (lol), so I can pick whatever for this. Surprised me how many class options opened up for them in Cata; they can be anything except Druids!

Yeah heroics are impossible to fail, my fury Warrior could solo them at this point (second wind so op, glad they aren't nerfing the pve solo aspect of it as much).
Icy-veins is a good resource for class rotations. Feral druids rotation going to get a little easier next expansion, there's a glyph that makes savage roar passive. Then its just about keeping rake and rip up, and ferocious biting at <25%.

Post the contents of your Config.wtf file, problem may be there.
I could solo them on my warlock last winter if I had a voidwalker out for the heavier mobs. These days, I can just facetank everything.
..... though I do have something like 800k+ hp selfbuffed. That helps.

It's a lot easier when it takes 10 seconds to kill than when it takes 2 mins or w/e the enrage is.
I did it in 2 tries on my enhc and barely had to turn, I never got past 20% on my friends shitty seasons or 2 old pvp geared barely beat the enrage warrior even though I tried like 10 times.
Yeah, monks one of my favorite classes, but I'd rather heal on any other class.
