Well too late now. If I replace them I replace them, but I already had non-tier 528 shoulders so that would have been a waste at the moment, so it was either legs or helm and I hadn't enchanted the pair of legs I currently had yet. Won't be too fussed either way.

Hmmm. Well I didn't get first by like 1 minute. Got second this week for Boots of the Bay though, so I guess that's kind of cool. Still want the pole, so I'll have to try again next week. Shame the ring is Unique-Equipped though.

Tanking is easy as hell, but unlike the other specializations, you need to be at least partially awake and have some grasp of how to play in general and in the encounter.
It's still pretty impressive. Killing the mobs hasn't been the problem for a while. The drop rate is still insanely low.

He is the one non raid boss drop Im still trying to get. In all my time in the game I've only even seen it drop once. Hopefully one day.
Heroics tanking never evolves much beyond "If stuff ain't hitting you, make it hit you." Just pull fast enough to keep the DPS happy and your vengeance stacked and you're good.
Raid tanking's a bit different. Your success will hinge on knowing where to stand and how well you communicate with the other tank. Just about every Soo fight requires tank swapping due to stacking dmg debuffs...some require actively working with your partner tank to deal with mechanics (See corrupted prisons on Sha of Pride or the add on Siegecrafter).
Actually got the Blue Proto from a regular UP run during WotLK. Called dibs right before we ran the gauntlet, the mount dropped, I won the roll.

So I have a question about 5-mans and Hunters. I've been running a bunch of heroics for justice points across both my characters. When I play my Hunter, I always try to switch up the pet I'm using based on the group makeup. Obviously this usually doesn't matter in raids because almost everything's covered. But I definitely use RaidChecklist on 5mans to make sure we get that extra little boost. Or I'll bring a Quilen for the battle rez. If there's no mage or shaman, I'll bring the Core Hound for mini-BL.
But when I run heroics, I NEVER see Hunters changing pets. Why is that?
It's not just your server. I'm having the exact same issue on one of my characters. There's even an active forum post about it. It's amazing that it somehow got through.

Dude, that is extremely impressive. I'm at 350+ kills across my characters and I still don't have it.
So is oqueue the best way to get into older raids? I tried open raid but it was just a pain in the ass.

Yay! I got into Karazhan Crypts! It took a bit of finagling with how they changed "through-wall" exploits, but I finally got inside after 10 or so tries!

I just recently got a lock to 85 from RAF, so I'm still basically a newb. I got affliction down, and wanted to try destroy and... I dunno. It seems confusing to me. Affliction is almost brain dead easy and super effective. What makes destroy awesome?

I think it's just assumed the hunter isn't going to have the pet you need. If I have a tight knit group, I'll usually be asked to bring something in particular along if we find we're lacking. Random groups - almost never.
Either that or most people you see in heroics dont care about buffing or are big casuals/newbs who dont understand the importance of buffs. I had 2 druids in my group yesterday and none of them used their buff... i had to take out my shale crystal spider for the buff, which i rarely do lol.
My most used pet is the alien with the long legs from Zangarmarsh since its buff improve both crit and spell power. So... unless we have a mage, i always use that one.

So I bought another license for $5 and just did RAF on my Bnet account. I started reading the best way to powerlevel to RAF toons and realized I just can't be bothered to two box level 1 toons together, even with triple xp.
Also, I only have 3 characters under 85 left to level (sham, warrior and monk which is 32) and they are all melee which is supposed to be harder to dual box because they stop following in melee combat. So I think I'll just forget about leveling toons and buy the second month for the mount and pet.

Because every other buff/perk is already taken care of by every other class in the raid most times.
Typically I just keep the wolf out for crit buff, nothing else is usually needed. Even then you have to teach people that the crit buff is a CAST and not just an aura. I usually just hit the button so they'll shut up.

And Destro is really easy to play. Immolate up, conflag whenever possible, cast chaos bolts whenever you have nice procs going and/or are using cooldowns, otherwise save embers for those situations unless you're about to be capped. RoF when there's 2+ targets you can hit for the whole cast for bonus embers. Abuse havoc for double chaos bolts or triple shadowburns if possible.

Not really, they got a mastery buff. They nerfed burning ember generation for Destro, plus KJC got sliced. That destro damage is going to get cut in the expansion.
Are all of those for the expansion? Because I haven't seen demo buffs after the hilarious stomping they got with 5.4. And Archimonde is godly for destro

It got a lot of new tools in MoP that really helped round the spec out, before it was just a very half assed mage, that did way more damage for some reason.
Destro's priority/rotation is also the best it's ever been, the spec has always been either way too simple, or too complex. They found a nice middle ground, and it just flows well IMO.
Burning embers isn't exactly the most elegant resource in the game, but it does it's job well enough, and never gets in the way.

But you alt+f4 your game just as your mounting cast is halfway. When you log back in, you'll be mounted and then just follow the steps. I guess they patched it so you auto dismount when you are going into geometry. It takes a bit of work but its like second nature now.

Been leveling Destro lock and I like it. Tried Demo out for a dungeon, but at the level I was at it just didn't gel well.
Maybe go Affliction as OS, but sticking with Destro for now since I'm pretty sure Affliction is too slow to keep up in these lower level dungeons.

Honestly my favorite feature they've ever added to the game, hope we see more from it next expansion (even if I still haven't finished the challenge cards due to laziness). Spoiler for that fight if you want/didn't know
their rockets deal damage to themselves, so always try to stand on top of one of them.
On a random different topic, has anyone been getting gold spammer friend requests lately on bnet? Like in the past 2 days I've had like 5 friend requests all from the same gold seller website. I report all of them, but shit is annoying.
