World of Warcraft |OT7| Feel the hatred of 10,000 Murlocs

Heart of Fear.

But yeah, MoP is my second favourite expansion along with TBC. Wrath is very close behind (or equal), though.

Heart of Fear had some extremely cool bosses. I would say Blade Lord and Wind Lord were duds (Blade lord fighting the wind thing was a neat idea but too late in the fight and too trivial). The rest I liked, and Vizier is legitimately one of the top bosses of the entire game's history.

The aesthetic bugs me (get it?) more than any of the encounters. The majority of MoP/WoD bosses are enjoyable mechanically.

Looks like Legion LFR isn't dropping tier. Stupid shit.

But yeah, seriously... Legion LFR won't drop tier gear. What does GAF think about that?

Edit: Wait... I can't find it on MMO champ. Only on the EU WoW forum. Can anyone find it?

LFR gear is pretty much a joke anyway.

It does frustrate me how much better Mythic looks than anything else though.

Can you guys help out finding a pve build and a pvp build pls?, for 2.4.3

BT+ geared, shadowbolt spam build or fire spam build if raiding with fire mages

Improved Healthstone rank is arbitrary, max it if you're the only warlock, otherwise one picks 0/2, one 1/2 and one 2/2 so people can carry three healthstones. For PVP.. probably get UA from affliction and dump the rest to demo. Didn't really PVP much with my warlock in TBC.

I don't personally like it. but what are you gonna do. LFR's mere existence is an issue for some people.

As long as they keep the valor award for each wing.

I enjoyed getting different colored tier gear in Cata/MoP LFR for my alts but to be honest I actually like the route they went with it for this tier (and I assume they will in T19 as well). Making some general higher quality looking sets each tier that isn't tied to a specific class is nice. The HFC LFR leather set is actually one of my favorite looking sets in a while. Liking the Legion honor leather set a lot as well, will totally do LFR to get it if the models end up used there.

Really looking forward to Legion just from a visual standpoint. Everything I've seen looks awesome: https://youtu.be/aTski-kio-w

Art team always kills it. Those skies...

Can always get it once it's no longer current if you don't raid. Sure you have to wait, but it still looks good :p

I always transmog anyway... so does most of my guild.

As someone who came late to WoD, I don't have any problem with the lack of tier gear in LFR, what I do have a problem with is the lack of any gear at all in LFR HFC. Seriously, in full baleful gear there's not a single upgrade in LFR on any boss. I don't understand why LFR doesn't have gear at least the same as 695 baleful and then go up from there in normal, the baleful would still serve the same purpose as catchup gear. I don't know if the other tiers of LFR were in the same position but if that's the case why even have gear in LFR at all.

It's also amazing how much different LFR HFC is when a dps satchel is up and overgeared people come to run it, the bosses drop in half the time or even faster.

Well yeah, the gap between Baleful/LFR gear and Mythic + maxed ring is gigantic. It may as well be comparing lvl 80's to Baleful 100's.

Which just makes the low gear in LFR seem all the more pointless. If LFR gear was iLvl 695 or 700 there would at least be the potential for upgrades from Tanaan gear but it would still be relatively meaningless for any real raider.

I guess my guild is not raiding anymore. People just weren't showing up. I'd find a new group but I sort of want to play with these people when Legion is out so I'm not really in a position to hop between guilds. Kind of want to keep playing but transitioning to Mythic is too annoying. Might push for max level ring and tap out.

It'd have to be more than 700. Honor gear is easy to get, a lot of stat choices. 705 maybe?

Could check out OpenRaid.

I'm kind of surprised at how often the people in my current guild show up for raid. I figure people would be falling out already.

At 695 with two upgrades it would be 705, plus the chance for sockets and such that honor gear can't have. It would just be nice to have some options and some motivation to run it once my ring is finished, and at least a small sense of gear progression. But I guess just being there is better than nothing. Maybe I'll try open raid for some normals at some point.

Finished the Pandaren starting area for the first time today, was kinda cool. Sort of sucks that you're locked in there till you do all the quests though, akin to the Worgen, Goblin, and DK areas.

Got a rogue to 15 today to try and hit 20 for Hearthstone and I just don't care right now. I'm just going to play my backlog and pray for a prepatch announcement soon. I mean the Illidan book is Tuesday so it'd be cool to update the PTR this week but I know that's not happening.

My 30 day sub is almost over, have to say I enjoyed my time!

Went from lvl 94 to an ilvl 667 geared lvl 100 in this period, not bad imo.

And I've seen tons of instances I had missed since WotLK. Think I won't renew though, there's not much going on right now and I don't want to play my lvl 74 Warlock as I despise the questing in Northrend. That feels like such a chore compared to questing in WoD.

700 with two upgrades is 710 and easier to get. My point still stands.

Ok, so I have reached level 22, I have a mount... And I have done everything by questing, still no contact or socialising with other people save for the guild requests.

I guess it's time for the first Dungeon in Kalimdor, Ragefire Chasm. I have 10 days left of game time, and I'd like to try one. Do I just need to set the group finder and wait at the entrance of the dungeon? I'm still a complete mess using the skills or trying to heal myself on a messy situation, much less knowing how to use the pet.

In the end I have lasted far more than I thought with the game since it goes well for my limited 45 minutes sessions, but other stuff has started accumulating, so no renew after this 30 days test.

You don't even need to be at the entrance, just use the LFG tool for that instance and when waiting you can do other stuff.
When the group is complete you get a message and will be teleported there when you accept.

Thanks. I wondered if the tool would just teleport me or I would have to walk to the closest gryphon stop. Out of curiosity, Are the rewards automatically split between group members?

Do random people use the voice chat a lot for dungeons or is it more of a thing with well stablished groups?

No, nobody uses voice chat for simple matchmade dungeons with randoms. Mainly only used for high-end content at max level and/or with guild/friends.

As for loot, the default in low-level LFG dungeons is a "need before greed" system, in which a window pops up where you'll hit the dice icon if you need something (if it's good for your class/spec and you're going to use it right then) or the gold coins icon to "greed" if you want it to sell, or for another reason. If there's an enchanter in the group there may be a disenchant option as well, but I would just greed in most cases as low level enchanting mats aren't worth anything really. You can also pass (the red "no" icon) if you don't want an item.

Also, at level 22 I believe you're too high to queue for Ragefire Chasm anymore. Probably have to start with a different dungeon.

Except honor gear doesn't have upgrades, and plenty of us don't want to farm honor at all... regardless, the semantics of a better implementation aren't relevant, the point is there's no reason to run LFR HFC for gear other than the ring quest, and for someone like me who likes having a sense of gear progression but isn't going to raid seriously, that is disappointing. Having tier pieces drop wouldn't change that by much unless the set bonuses were exceptional.

Most tier boni are really good, half almost required to even play certain specs, like arms warrior.

Mmm, I see. so Ragefire Chasm is not even available in the group finder since it will only offer the stuff for the level range. Interesting.

I suppose it's more of a "do it or lose it", unless I want to solo it further on.

You shouldn't really feel pressured to see or do everything. WoW's content pool is the culmination of over ten years of serving an active community, and while older content still exists in the game Blizzard tries to push players towards their newest content at an accelerated pace. There are always opportunities to head back to these locations on your own if you find yourself that curious.

As a side note, and because it might not be immediately obvious, if you join a group make sure to disable your pet's taunt ability off its action bar. It can make things more complicated for the group, as useful as it is in solo play.

pretty much.....you can level uber fast by just doing dungeons even without BoA's.....its insane. You pretty much do dungeons as they pop, do the quests and usually one run through each will level you 2-3 times. By the time you do all the dungeons another 3-4 pop.

I'm thinking about restarting but really don't know what I want to play. I really want a damn end game druid DPS.....I don't have anything over 90 and never even touched Draenor despite owning it lol

There are some downsides to MoP - questing experience is relatively weak and early dailies were an overkill. Besides that?

They managed to make dailies work great for the first time ever in 5.1. Raids were great. Art was great. Music was great. Lore was very varied, fresh and consistent. Really a fantastic expansion that was unfairly rejected by many fans.

I absolutely agree. 5.2 is easily one of my favorite patches in the games history. ToT was an amazing raid and isle of Thunder was top notch quest hub. They even made Trolls interesting again by giving them friggin Dinosuars. Its also the first expac where I felt like I had something to do besides raid and faceroll dungeons. I got a lot of mileage out of brawlers guild, pet battles, hunting rares for toys, and treasure runs.

So our Mythic Archimonde lockout got ninja'd.

Sent in a ticket with the Raid ID to see if they can tell me who did it, but I don't know for sure if I'll have any luck. The depressing thing is that it was for sure someone who is or was a member an actual member of our raid group, as we weren't exactly pugging anybody. If it was for profit, as a shortcut for another raid team, whatever, I don't know, but I'm pissed. Mainly since we have to use our precious 6 hour raid week clearing all of upper to get back to him, as we don't have the Mannoroth skip yet (and even then Manno could potentially take more time than we'd like).

I hate managing skills that way.....its like getting Dark Knight in FFXIV but worse because instead of an amount of skills you get at level 30....you now get the amount of skills you get at level 100.......you don't learn with the class and thats always been a personal peeve of mine. I like the feeling of evolving and learning the class instead of just.....alright heres a shitload of skills have fun.

That sucks. You could armory everyone from your last Mannoroth kill and see who has a recent Archimonde Mythic kill, then gkick obv

Did they get rid of the intro quests for boosted characters? I haven't bought Legion yet, but WoD had me doing a bunch of quests with each awarding a new skill that I could use.

Oh god, tell me about. Been on a bit of a XIV revival lately, and Machinist, Astrologian and Dark Knight just dump 50 skills on your bars and tell you to get on with it. Fuck that!

WoW's boosting is nicer, you get a page detailing your core abilities.

There won't be anything in palce for the level 100 boosts until Legion launches. Before WoD, level 90 boosts also had no intro questing.

Sub ran out today. EU token is sitting at 87k so might as well enjoy a little break until prepatch but even though I'm looking forward to it I'm also dreading it as I've way over a thousand big crates of salvage waiting to be opened and added into the transmog tab on various toons.

Here's hoping that someone creates an addon that helps out with that process and if not I guess a couple of stiff drinks will be needed to soldier through that :)
