World of Warcraft |OT9| People still play this? Isn't it from 2004

Suffering From Success
They overdid it with dailies in 5.0, no doubt about that, but on the other hand 5.1 implementation of dailies was one of the best in the game's history (did not play enough Legion to compare, though they dialed back on dailies and went with world quests indeed afaik, right?).

World quests are basically dailies: electric boogaloo

Day 37: I am starting to believe these Alchemist quests in Dalaran have no end. I must question how much I really want to learn the ability to make flasks.

If we are getting an Old One expansion I hope N'zoth manages to release/awaken both Yogg-Saron and C'thun. If my lore is correct they are not exactly dead even though we "killed" a weakened version of them in previously raids, they just got pulled back into their prisons again.

In Azeroth's nascent state they cannot be killed because they have burrowed themselves so deep into the core of the planet that removing them would do immense damage to our titan. When Aman'thul shredded Y'shaarj it created a permanent rift in the planet pouring out arcane energy which eventually became the well of eternity. For that whole reason the Titanforged was created to subdue and imprison the rest of the Old Gods to remove the threat and still keep the world soul intact.

I believe our titan is on the verge of waking up, never in the history of Warcraft has she been more active communicating and speaking through Magni. The previous titans sensed she might become the strongest of them all, and I originally thought she would be needed to defeat Sargeras, but it looks like she might become our greatest shield against the void instead. But if Azeroth awakens, maybe in a weakened state because of all the corruption she had to endure having the planet completely engulfed in old ones corruption for so long during the time of the Black Empire, it will give us free reign to finally go after the last living old gods and purge them without having to worry about further damaging our titan.

Yogg-Saron is my favorite Old God. I love his design, the voice acting and all the lore surrounding Ulduar. After Y'shaasj he was the strongest old god and the last one to fall against the titanforged. I would really love to see them all return in their original form after being freed from N'zoth somehow. They were extremely powerful back in the day, as high as mountains and only looking at them was enough to make you go mad.

I for one am glad we're wrapping up the story of the Burning Legion after nearly two decades. The void is going to be an interesting new chapter.

He's a joke character. I laughed at stuff like the quest in Grizzly Hills where he escorts you out of the troll ruins but he's nowhere near interesting enough to be the focus of a zone's storyline.

Having a few pop culture references here and there is one thing. Making an entire zone questline out of them is another. The Indie stuff in Uldum and Rambo in Redridge really, really overstayed their welcome.

I liked Zul'Drak! Just a shame we never got the raid.

Just how many raids were canceled, yet there still remains something ingame of what they could possibly have been? There's Zuldrak and then the one under Vashjir next to Throne of Tides where I think the entrance is still there last time I checked, and Shattrah in Draenor, but is there anything else?

Abyssal Maw was supposed to be an instance. There was supposed to be a War of the Ancients raid in Cataclysm but instead we got an instance out of it and Dragon Soul. Fairly awful deal, really.

Cancelled Shattrath raid certainly hurts, this would have been amazing.

Was Zul'drak raid ever confirmed to have existed at any point? I've heard about it over and over again but I don't remember any concrete evidence back from 2007-2010.

We can all agree Zul'Drak sucked right?

I actually really liked Zul'drak (except for the buggy Scourge-control quests near the start, but even they got points for uniqueness once you figured out their frustrating quirks). I loved the story and structure of the Trolls killing their gods, and how you progressively pushed towards the heart of their city.

But yeah, as others mentioned, all the WotLK zones were fantastic. Best were Storm Peaks and Dragonblight imo, and weakest were the two intro zones (especially Howling Fjord; never cared for it as Horde).

I just want something more light hearted, at least at first. Go gloom and doom at the end, but do something more interesting and smaller scale for the next expac. We've already been to space and shit. Let's tone it down a bit.

6/9 upgrades from weekly chest. Granted, some of those are with shit geared alts, but not bad.

Terrible 935 relic on my rogue and 935 Raven Eidolon on my bear though.

My bet is they'll copy the Vindicaar style "base at each zone", and merge it with the Class Hall tech, giving us a sea-faring ship for the South Seas expansion. We'll be able to sail to each of the zones, where our ship parks (phased), and we get to customise that bad boy.

Only if we can give our ships old time, bawdy pirate names. Why even bother if I can't name my boat the "Filthy Harlot"

Silithus and the entirety of Kalimdor (excluding Azuremyst Isles) are still out of bounds on the 7.3.2 PTR. I've seen no word from the devs on this subject and certainly one can understand why Silithus is currently inaccessible (
aftermath of Antorus, the Burning Throne and how Sargeras affected Silithus and supposedly Q'Thun
), but a notice that these zones are currently off-limits would be nice.

Not long until BlizzCon 2017 now:

Has anyone been able to raise their followers to an item level of 950? I've had the quest for awhile and haven't seen anything show up at the mission table.

Jesus christ there's a thread on mmochamp right now about "What lore is better, Warcraft or Lord of the Rings" and there's way too many people either saying Warcraft is better or "both suck, X game is better"

I am so god damn embarrassed right now

It's MMOC. You should expect embarrassment from the jump.

Of all the stupid, ignorant, offensive shit that gets posted everyday on mmoc that's what has you embarrassed?

I mean, Lord of the Rings is well crafted lore, but it's boring.

~~~
So why the hell are Enchant Cloak-Binding of Intellect going for so much? They're at 5000 today, but the last couple of days they were at 2500 or so. I remember before I quit last march they were going for less than 1k?
As a general rule I don't pay attention to the run of the mill gamergate-esque nonsense over there.
The prices get jacked up on weekly reset because people are getting new loot from their M+ cache
God, I wish they'd up the amount of blacklistable battlegrounds to 3 so I could blacklist ToK alongside IoC and AV. Any of those are insufferable if you play as horde, and you're sure to be getting one of them all the time if they aren't blacklisted.
Woot, got my Warlock class mount, got three now. Pretty happy with that. It does take a few days to do but overall it's not a total pain in the ass. But maybe I'd think otherwise on the seventh character.
Nah, it gets easier the more you do it. Once you know the steps, you can have your champions at the ready for the mission you need to do, or make sure you don't do all the WQs before that part of Breaching the Tomb comes up, just for example. I actually have 7 different class mounts, so that's funny. :)
The DK mount is like a RBG mud texture mount, and the mage one is bland, but I like the rest I have (sham,war,pal,druid,lock).
