World of Warcraft |OT9| People still play this? Isn't it from 2004

It was a fight where all 25 raiders needed to pull their weight with 4 different things going on at 4 different parts of the room so it was always obvious whose fault it was when it became a wipe which encouraged infighting.

This part was what made the fight really miserable. The guild I raided with started going through content later into the expansion cycle (killed Kael about 2 months before 2.4) so we didn't spend that much time wiping on M'uru, but we still practiced him for weeks and did barely any progress over that time. Knowing all the time that my group executed the expected strategy perfectly nearly every single time, while also knowing it's not gonna happen because there's just no way made it a soul-crushing experience.

I did not realise you needed exalted with the armies of legionfall to get the class mounts.
I had been ignoring the place completely on my warlock. :X

You don't, you just need to finish the Legionfall story campaign unless warlock has a specific prerequisite for reputation that's different form monk

Started playing again recently, learned about the new "puzzle mount" and shrugged my shoulders, then heard
unlocking it permanently opens the Karazhan Crypts for you, a place I've been exploiting into for at least a decade
, and rushed to do it.

Endless Halls took me two hours but it was worth it
.

All I ever see people talk about in general chat is "politics", and it's almost always alt-right garbage. What the hell happened to memes and banter?

Been playing WoW since shortly after WoD launched, trade chat, no matter the faction or server, is a dumpster fire. RP servers can be a little better than PVE/PVP servers, but for the most part the broader WoW community is simply something to be avoided. They're either trolls or just genuinely shitty people.

The only sane thing you can do is /leave trade.

Hey all, I'm thinking about returning to WoW next month (I work 7 days a week all summer, get most of winter off) but one of the reasons I quit Legion after finishing the main quest content last year was due to how harsh the game was on alts and artifact experience. I'm a HUGE altaholic so have gravitated more to alt-friendly games like ESO since then. Have they made any changes to improve this since I've been gone? Class mounts look so damn pretty...

Yeah you'll find it very, very easy to fill your artifact and gear up on coming back. You don't have to research knowledge yourself anymore, everyone is at max artifact knowledge as soon as you hit 110. On my last alt I filled my artifact completely within an hour or two. There's two gear vendors, one on the broken shore which gives 850+, and another on Argus giving 910+. Both are pretty easy to save up for. The only snag is the legendary system which remains harsh, though they did make it so your first two drop a bit more quickly than the rest.

You get get all your artifact traits filled the same day you hit lvl 110 now. Tokens that give Artifact power are now up to 100-300 millions each, so you can imagine how fast that can go. It only takes a few WQs, and you're already maxed everywhere except the last one that just stack up to 20 or something.

As for gear, you can get plenty of 880 BOA gear from killing elites in Argus or by opening Emissary chests from the 2 factions over there, so if you do enough of that on your main(s) for a about a week(and if you're lucky on the armor type), getting a brand new lvl 110 alt up to an average of 880-890 the same day you hit 110 is very possible. I just did that with my Demon Hunter yesterday, but I also had a lot of 880 BOA leather gear saved and after equipping those, WQs were giving 870 gear, so I could go get myself a necklace/ring/trinket right away.
Then you have 910 gear you can buy with a new currency that you get from quests, class hall missions, killing elites, and doing invasions(mini scenarios with random people, up to 20 of them I think?).

That's awesome to hear, thanks for catching me up =)

I don't remember what iLvl my Druid main was when I quit, but it's good to know there's plenty of BoA gear he can collect and share to an alt I want to level. Did Mists of Pandaria have a similar system on the Timeless Isle? It rings a bell. Or maybe I'm thinking of Warlord's system. I don't remember much from that expansion other than Shadowmoon Valley was uber pretty. I've blanked on the rest of it. Timey wimey nonsense kept me switched off all the way through the story, but I loved Legion's return to form and I'm really intrigued by all the discussion regarding the story of the next expansion, so figured now might be a good time to jump back in, gear up for the future, and collect all the mounts and transmog I'm interested in from Legion before the story moves on.

Seems likely the next expac will be unveiled this year at BlizzCon, right?

Yeah gearing alts is stupid easy in 7.3

I got 8 characters at ilvl 910-925, and all I do with them is WQs & killing elites until I get the 50 weekly crystals for free 300 Argus currency(for 910 gear) and doing invasions/greater invasions(basically the new world raid boss put into an instanced zone, which drop 930+). You get like 4-8 crystals per elites/invasions. And then I don't play them anymore for the rest of week once I'm done with that, you need to do 3 invasions(which last between 10-15 mins each) to be able to enter the greater invasion.

I'll probably stop playing those alts once they've got at least 910 in every slots, which shouldn't take too long since I can buy one or two pieces a week + the chance of getting something better from the greater invasion. Then after that I guess I'll go back to soloing old raids for transmogs & mounts lol, should be ridiculously easy with that kind of gear.

Definitely going to be shown.

Oh Jaina, how is home treating you.

*Imagines will what will happen if it's completely different than everyone is speculating*

Is Sister Subversia a basic test to see who understands you can just walk away from her to avoid getting mind controlled? Granted, it's not a super punishing mechanic, but yeah...just walk away for 2 seconds. :D

The way Blizzard treated Jaina is so stupid, almost as stupid as what they did to Thrall.

"Oh I'm so pissed you allowed the Horde into my city. Fuck this. I'm not gonna help save our world, bye!"

No one would be sad if she turned into a raid boss at some point, she kind of deserve it anyway.

She has an AOE indicator under her, is there something else to understand? Don't stand in swirly. Now that one invasion leader who has a donut AOE...

Leveling through Darkshore then Stonetalon Mountains and finding quests that were bugged almost seven years ago still bugged.

Basically the same story every time I've tried actual questing in 1-60 content since I came back a little after Legion launch.

I really hope Jaina and Thrall have been doing important stuff together during Legion and that they'll be the ones spearheading the fight against Azshara or whoever.

The flight plan I just filed with the agency list me, my men, Dr. Pavel here. But only one of you!
Thrall went home to be a family man and Jaina has been busy hunting down the demon who assassinated her character.

While I have a problem with her not helping to save the world from the freaking Legion I got no problem with her hating the Horde and thinking they will be the doom of them. For her they kind of have been repeatedly leading to the deaths of so many that she knew. She has a right to hate them and want to take them down. The issue was how she simply left, that's a problem with how she has been. No matter how angry, I can't see her up and going entirely.

Plus the whole hey why didn't Kalec do anything since they were together , guess that relationship is axed huh. One more plot point that kinda got dropped.

I'm a dumbass. I did a greater invasion on this character before turning in the quest from doing the 3, so Illidan still wants me to do one. :-/

Decided to finally race change my druid from worgen to troll. I just love their forms now that the textures on them have been updated and I also love the starter feral form that they get.

Sort of annoying how Stormheim needs to be completed again. I mean, it doesn't have to be played through again but I'm going to just to get the stuff out of the way.

Truly the most challenging quest. I don't know how I managed.

The Lost Codex is one of my favorite channels when it comes to WoW lore. It's just really well done aesthetically, and he manages to bring out a lot of interesting information in a very short time that is easy to follow and understand even if you're not a huge lore buff.

Here is a new one on the Origins of the Cosmos which seems relevant with The Void becoming a more and more apparent factor to the story.

Amazing quality. I'll have to check out more of his work.

WoW's lore bothers me though. If the Titans were originally spirits of planets which eventually awoke, why did they turn into humanoids when they woke up? How did that form happen? How is it useful for travelling the cosmos? And why do they have clothes? Do they need to make those? How the heck do you make planet-sized leather and armour? That's a lot of animal hide and metal. And why do they have hair? Does that grow? Is there a barber Titan? How does he make Titan-sized scissors? Because again, that's a lot of metal...

Grrr. I hate that these things bother me.

Maybe they don't originally look like that but tok this form at a later stage when they become more intertwined with other living being. The way the Titans look now is OUR perception of what these colossal beings looks like, and if we gander over at the Naru they have a much more celestial other-worldly shape that feels more believable. From what we know they might just as well be a sentience self-aware giant ball of light with a conscience, not much different from the planet that birthed them.

Then again, it might just be Blizzard who thought making them into something that resemblance Nordic Gods would just make them look cooler.

This is awesome.

He hinted towards an upcoming episode which might be about the fall of the Titans, Sargeras betrayal and Aggramar's desperate plight to reason with his former friend and mentor.

This three parter is also one of my favorites. It follows the ancient age of Azeroth, the arrival of the Old Gods and the later Titans who created the Titanforged to subdue and imprison the Old Gods from destroying our World Soul.
