We are on Alleria and it's been fine queue wise after the initial rush on Thursday and Friday. No problems logging in yesterday when all my kiljaeden friends were stuck waiting for eons.
The sound and music guys deserve a medal, they've done a brilliant job. You can actually tell Blizz has money in that regard, no other mmo has that sort of production values.
The only other MMOs with scores I've enjoyed were the Final Fantasy ones, well until XIV 2.0 when they swapped out Nobuo Uematsu for the really lousy new guy they're using now. XIV 2.0 has some of the worst music in the series, IMO.
Anyone know what the Twisting Nether EU queue is atm?
It was 0 this morning from like 6am-12pm... so beautiful ;_;
Not sure, to put it in perspective, Stormrage had no queue early this morning. I logged off around 10am, just tried logging back in at 1pm and the queue is up to 4500.
If you have normally been getting a high queue the past few days, expect to get another one just as high. Someone posted a screenshot of atleast 150 people AFK in Stockades. Betting its well over 500 people doing it now.
Waking up at 6/8am on a free day is pretty much a guaranteed ticket into the server. It was so amazing this morning.
Too bad I had to go away for most of the day. I don't like leaving my computer on, it's unnecessary power usage.
Some of them are only there for very limited periods of time. Millhouse Manastorm showed up in my Inn and vanished shortly after giving me a quest. It's my understanding that they come back eventually.Guys I got a question, the quest NPC that gave me the Go fetch dungeon quest disappeared on me and now I can't turn in the quest. What gives? Did he disappear because it's a daily?

Shift+click it?Ok, is there any way to hide the quest from the sidebar then? It really bothers me that I can't turn it in.
Nod.
I could have, I just don't like the idea of AFKing in Stockades for hours on end. Guess I'll have to get over that and start doing it if I actually want to play for a few hours with friends.
Any word on if queues are moving faster today? I've got 4400 ahead of me, hoping I'll be able to play. The game estimates 179 minutes, but I've learned to raise an eyebrow at the game's estimates.
I would even take a free transfer at this point, but I've never seen the option. How would I know if my server is eligible?
I was so excited for this expansion! Was hoping to use this weekend to chug through to max like the last few.
Doesn't seem like it.Any word on if queues are moving faster today?
Blizzard did a server restart early in the morning in EU. They should do that again. It only took five minutes and at least all the AFKers get dc'd![]()
They should do rolling restart every 12h for several more days so people who use bots to stay online would get kicked and actual players in :b
I definitely agree, I think it's bullshit so many players are AFKing in dungeons for hours while other people can't get in.
They're kicking them periodically as is.
What about the people who are actively playing, get kicked off then can't get back in again due to the restart, is that fair?
Yes, I've run in to so many fights without a pet because of thisSpeaking of instances and phasing, is anyone else having issues with Warlock pets disappearing when flying, hearthing, or riding a mount somewhere?
What's the deal with the whacky quest xp? In Shadowmoon they were giving 13k+, then all of a sudden the gave 9k. So I took it as a hint to leave, even though I wanted to finish the zone. Went to Gorgrond at level 92, and most quests were giving about 20k+. Then saw a lot of quests starting to give about 16k, so I took it as a sign to go to Talador only to get 14k xp at level 94.
Haven't had a que all day today. Been playing off and on. I'm 97 now. Does horde not get to level in shadowmoon at all? I guess alliance don't get to quest in frostfire ridge then?

This personal loot system in dungeons is crap. I've come back from WoW after not playing since Catacylsm and this weird system is already irritating me and impacting on my enjoyment of the expansion.
At the moment I'm DPS spec while I level, and I haven't really focused on getting up my tank gear so queued up as said DPS for a dungeon. After waiting for 45 minutes I get put into Iron Docks, really cool dungeon that was fantastic to run. Except the loot.
After the second boss I questioned the group as to where loot rolls were and all that jazz. Apparently Blizzard has decided that their tweaked system of only allowing you to need on items you could use wasn't good enough, and decided to punish players by making loot "personal" in that its a random chance a boss may have some loot you can use. I personally think this loot system is terrible and ruins that sense of reward for defeating a boss. No longer do I have that sparkle when killing a boss, instead I just pray to RNG gods that I might get a piece of loot this run.
In Iron Docks I got one piece of loot. One. After waiting for 45 minutes. Don't think I'll be doing dungeons again.

The World of Warcraft subreddit is no longer here. Please visit one of the fine new subreddits.
Well ok, now /r/wow "super" moderator really went off the rails.
Apparently for no reason he again made sub private with implication that it is now closed for good.
