MG seems Queue free today, finally...

Anyone use Tukui, Can I increase the size somehow, everything just seems really small

It normally takes me a month to hit the cap in an expansion, but I liked this one so much I hit it today. Good stuff.

I need to play in little bits and pieces lately, so I've earned exactly 0 XP. I can't get through the queue in a couple hours, then my time is up. Ugh..

I'm only 95 but I'm really liking so far. I usually don't care for questing but this has been pretty fun. The new zones just look amazing. Also my Frost DK feels crazy OP with all the self healing, can't wait to start arenas at 100 before they nerf it.

The sound and music guys deserve a medal, they've done a brilliant job. You can actually tell Blizz has money in that regard, no other mmo has that sort of production values.

Yeesh, they seem to have upped the composer count pretty heftily for Pandaria and Draenor, haven't played since the end of Cataclysm so I hadn't gotten to notice. I've always been fond of WoW's score ever since Russel Brower took over as lead back with Naxxramas I think it was. That original Naxxramas soundtrack was such a big shift at the time.

The only other MMOs with scores I've enjoyed were the Final Fantasy ones, well until XIV 2.0 when they swapped out Nobuo Uematsu for the really lousy new guy they're using now. XIV 2.0 has some of the worst music in the series, IMO.

What? Soken has made some of the best music for the series in ages. It sucks that they removed so much of 1.0's soundtrack as Uematsu had some good stuff in there, but Soken's stuff is absolutely fantastic.

Anways... on topic - Glad to see Matt Uelmen is apparently doing some work for Blizzard again. Would love to see him help with the next diablo expansion. Is he freelance instead of solely working for Runic now?

Anyone know what the Twisting Nether EU queue is atm?

It was 0 this morning from like 6am-12pm... so beautiful ;_;

Not sure, to put it in perspective, Stormrage had no queue early this morning. I logged off around 10am, just tried logging back in at 1pm and the queue is up to 4500.

If you have normally been getting a high queue the past few days, expect to get another one just as high. Someone posted a screenshot of atleast 150 people AFK in Stockades. Betting its well over 500 people doing it now.

Waking up at 6/8am on a free day is pretty much a guaranteed ticket into the server. It was so amazing this morning.

Too bad I had to go away for most of the day. I don't like leaving my computer on, it's unnecessary power usage.

Nod.

I could have, I just don't like the idea of AFKing in Stockades for hours on end. Guess I'll have to get over that and start doing it if I actually want to play for a few hours with friends.

Guys I got a question, the quest NPC that gave me the Go fetch dungeon quest disappeared on me and now I can't turn in the quest. What gives? Did he disappear because it's a daily?

Some of them are only there for very limited periods of time. Millhouse Manastorm showed up in my Inn and vanished shortly after giving me a quest. It's my understanding that they come back eventually.

Ok, is there any way to hide the quest from the sidebar then? It really bothers me that I can't turn it in.

Any word on if queues are moving faster today? I've got 4400 ahead of me, hoping I'll be able to play. The game estimates 179 minutes, but I've learned to raise an eyebrow at the game's estimates.

I would even take a free transfer at this point, but I've never seen the option. How would I know if my server is eligible?

I was so excited for this expansion! Was hoping to use this weekend to chug through to max like the last few.

Blizzard did a server restart early in the morning in EU. They should do that again. It only took five minutes and at least all the AFKers get dc'd :P

they are talking about expanding caps again with more phasing tech but no idea when it will happen today. queues really just depend on who is willing to logout

Expanding the number of Draenor instances on the higher population servers using the phasing tech they introduced a couple of days ago. They are being extra cautious with this update though so it's likely to take several hours.

Speaking from experience SylvanasEU really needs this. Can't come soon enough

Speaking of instances and phasing, is anyone else having issues with Warlock pets disappearing when flying, hearthing, or riding a mount somewhere?

They should do rolling restart every 12h for several more days so people who use bots to stay online would get kicked and actual players in :b

Edit: I got clean at end of Cata [god HM Deathwing was lackluster battle], but now hype is too real and I want WoD :(

I definitely agree, I think it's bullshit so many players are AFKing in dungeons for hours while other people can't get in.

What about the people who are actively playing, get kicked off then can't get back in again due to the restart, is that fair?

What's the deal with the whacky quest xp? In Shadowmoon they were giving 13k+, then all of a sudden the gave 9k. So I took it as a hint to leave, even though I wanted to finish the zone. Went to Gorgrond at level 92, and most quests were giving about 20k+. Then saw a lot of quests starting to give about 16k, so I took it as a sign to go to Talador only to get 14k xp at level 94.

Honestly no clue, I have noticed the same. There doesn't seem to be any reason to it, even though I'm sure there is. Make sure you do every bonus objective though, that stuff rains in XP.

Haven't had a que all day today. Been playing off and on. I'm 97 now. Does horde not get to level in shadowmoon at all? I guess alliance don't get to quest in frostfire ridge then?

Which is somewhat more jarring for Alliance players as they have zero context for the first dungeon of the expansion.

This personal loot system in dungeons is crap. I've come back from WoW after not playing since Catacylsm and this weird system is already irritating me and impacting on my enjoyment of the expansion.

At the moment I'm DPS spec while I level, and I haven't really focused on getting up my tank gear so queued up as said DPS for a dungeon. After waiting for 45 minutes I get put into Iron Docks, really cool dungeon that was fantastic to run. Except the loot.

After the second boss I questioned the group as to where loot rolls were and all that jazz. Apparently Blizzard has decided that their tweaked system of only allowing you to need on items you could use wasn't good enough, and decided to punish players by making loot "personal" in that its a random chance a boss may have some loot you can use. I personally think this loot system is terrible and ruins that sense of reward for defeating a boss. No longer do I have that sparkle when killing a boss, instead I just pray to RNG gods that I might get a piece of loot this run.

In Iron Docks I got one piece of loot. One. After waiting for 45 minutes. Don't think I'll be doing dungeons again.

I think they should have both. The age old system and a chance at personal loot every boss kill. Cannot wait to have a group of friends at 100 and we want/need to get someone some gear. Nope, not gonna happen unless they just get exceptionally lucky.

You guys think they'll do Black Friday deals since WOD only released a few days ago?

MOP released in Sept and was 50% off starting Nov 20th. 75% off last year starting the 26th I believe.

Not sure if this is because of lag or something on my part, but my character occasionally wants to run in one direction, which is ridiculously infuriating when you are doing melee combat.

Honestly, like fuck I'm going to risk getting kicked off for being AFK and come back to wait 4 hours in a queue if I want to make dinner/go down to the shop etc.

I'll be auto jumping in my garrison thank you very much.

Jumping back in after having not played seriously or playing high level content for severa several years. Bit overwhelming catching up with all that has changed and getting used to the game itself again. Also used the auto boost to 90 because there was a lot of older content I didnt really care to play through again which probably puts me at a disadvantage for a bit but ah well. Enjoying the few hours I've put into it so far, really liking the starting area and quest line personally.

It says:

"The World of Warcraft subreddit has been shut down due to doxxing."

I guess I should have screenshotted original message, my bad :/

Still I find it little weird to put whole sub down if super-mod is getting doxxed. I mean it sucks ass if he is getting harassed / doxxed, but to shut down whole sub as you delete your traces from Reddit, Twitter etc?

Holy shit that is pretty big news, Blizzard is going to be pissed. That subreddit was huge, and did wonders for marketing/social media with little to no effort from Blizz.

There was no queue when I logged in this morning and put in around 9 hours. I just tried to log back in and, boom, 5100 queue. lol
