I think Blizzard are confused as to the meaning of this word.

Alliance/Horde started at opposite ends of it, though, so it didn't have everyone trying to pick up a quest from the same NPC simultaneously (unless your server was completely one-sided faction-wise).
 
Good to know that transferring to a lower population realm was worth it

. Hope the masses get to play tonight. Still have to wait for my CE to arrive from amazon. If I'm lucky, the zones will be mostly empty by the time I get to play

I'm super antsy. I don't even know why. I'm sick of orcs, but I love new content and lore. I'm really hoping for some good storytelling here.

Probably not going to bed tonight. >_>
 
I almost completely forgot that this was launching tomorrow, but then I got the text from Amazon that they had shipped my CE. Even if I don't get around to the game for a little bit (it honestly couldn't have launched at a worse time for me with FC4 and Dragon Age out next week), I still needed to have that CE. I've bought every CE going all the way back to vanilla launch. I pre-ordered the vanilla CE a few days before the game launched when I first learned about the game, and it turned out to be the unicorn of WoW.
 
OK I think I'm going to get off GAF and try to go to bed. Gotta have some sleep for the 90 - 100 binge!!

As long as my realm comes up, but it's only medium pop.
 
Went into Swifty's channel for a few minutes and it's just popup after popup on his video every minute to two minutes notifying him someone gave him a donation.
Some people streaming games must be pretty fucking wealthy.
 
I was logged in, got the quest, saw the cutscene for entering the portal and got kicked off the server

Not been able to log in ever since
 
I completely forgot about the launch server issues... Our copy arrived this morning from Blizzard, should have logged in then....
 
I actually disliked the setting in Pandaria so much that I haven't even preordered the game. It will be interesting to see if the streams show a little of the Orcs vs Humans feeling.

You're not wrong, though. Big name streamers can make some good money.
 
I spent like 5 hours making sure I wouldn't get kicked

Then I dc'd like 20 seconds after I got the quest

Now I'm in a 1800 queue :(
 
So can you stay logged in and get the quest for the expansion when it goes live? Or do I need to login at 12am to get the quest?

You can stay logged in, it just pops up in your quest tracker and you need to go to the Dark Portal.
 
Aww man, all these people reporting the server issues :( US/Oceanic servers will be up in 8hrs here is hoping things are better here. I was there for Cata and MOP launch and I had zero login or any issues except for a few bugged quests.

I left my toon on auto run in shrine, just so when I come back home from work he is still logged in. I hope that works :P

Thinking about boosting my OG Orc lock. Still sitting in his 60s I think.. I always loved him but just ended up maining other characters along the way. Still... Something about maining my toon that was created on launch day 10 years ago.

Doesn't work like that. You have to be performing some sort of action that isn't just running forward.
