Not until first patch.

And also I tried it. Ret Paladins have literally four abilities they use in their rotation, I can map that to a controller.

They have way more than four. Crusader Strike, Judgement, Templar's Verdict, Exorcism, Hammer of Wrath, and Avenging Wrath. And that's purely their single-target abilities. Stop trolling.

Never before seen Ret paladin rotation or what? Because it's more than "literally fours abilities."

I'm trying to figure out how to do that as I type this. I have a ret pally I'm leveling and I'd much rather use a controller than KB/M.

I heard they push the quest to you just like the Iron Horde Invasion, so I'm in the Blasted Lands.

I just noticed Khadgar is standing in Shrine, right outside the front door. I guess I'll go to Blasted Lands and keep my hearth in Shrine, so I can get to Shrine and Org quickly if I need to. I'm hoping to struggle through the crowding and lag and get ahead of the zerg by Frostfire. Probably won't happen, but I'm gonna try. It worked out alright in MoP that way.

Do you need an add on of something to make a controller work?

Most likely using Joy2Key or something.

Don't know how you play your ret, but I use at least a good dozen abilities all the time.

Well, speaking as a Ret who hasn't played in a while, it certainly LOOKS easy to set a controller to work with.

Six is totally way more than four. Easy to map RB + button to use with.

Just checked, yeah Khadgar is also by the dark portal.

Its five, still not super complex. I believe Ret Paladins only have one CD to pop now as well. Their AoE rotation is basically three skills.

How do you use Lay on Hand are any Hand of in an emergency ? It works in FFXIV becaus e the GCD is slow. When you have enough haste your GCD will be 1 second instead of 1.5.

In fact, (using DS4) I'd set CruStrike to X, Judgment to Triangle, Templar's Verdict to Square, Exorcism to O. Using RB+ I'd set Hammer of the Righteous to RB + X, Divine Storm to RB + Square, and so on and so forth.

I never said this would be a split-second awesome controller setup. This is a "easy questing build setup". It works as well because of "select next target when using abilities" turning on. You can target enemies like FFXIV.

And to actually answer your question, macros set to button presses. LB + Square = LOH yourself. LB + O = LOH nearest ally.

Ah got ya my apologies.

At the dark portal.

They added a few more Khadgars around so not everyone has to be around the dark portal.

From Blizz:

Here are Khadgar's locations:

Stormwind - next to the Hero's Call Board in the Trade District
Orgrimmar - next to the Warchief's Command Board in the Valley of Strength
Shrine of Seven Stars (Alliance) - in front of the main entrance
Shrine of Two Moons (Horde) - in front of the main entrance

Man, this shit needs to unlock in the U.S. already. I'm looking at the map of Draenor and a huge wave of nostalgia hit me.... reminded me of when I was running from fel reavers in HP, or hunting hundreds of animals in Nagrand. I only have two 90s, so it's been a while since I stepped foot in Outland for anything.

I can't wait!!!

I'm trying so hard to resist getting pulled back into this. I know no one from RL (or online, for that matter) that still plays, so I know I would get bored... But damn it's hard not to get it.

Totally agreed lol. These 'methods' were reported many times in beta as well.

Hey guys, we have a repeatable quest that gives XP...think we should do something about that for WoD? Nah, no one actually level that way, if they do we will just suspend/ban/roll-em back for a few weeks/month.

Is the new zone supposed to be the pre or post out lands? Will they resemble out lands at all?

Really interested, I loved TBC.

It's pre outlands. I think most of the zones will be very different from TBC, though nagrand is pretty similar visually i believe

On the subject of number of class abilities, I really wish they had pruned rogues' abilities more. I think the only ability my sub rogue lost was Dismantle. My combat spec lost Fan of Knives and Rupture. That's it.

Maybe I'm just a filthy casual these days, but there are still abilities I either macro into something else, or just don't use. There's some passives I really don't like too.

Everyone just waiting.

  • Only one person can use it at once.
  • Everyone has to use it to progress.
This isn't even the first quest like this (fucking trees...).

Someone at the quest design department needs to be fired.
