You mean like 2 and a half months from now?

You're assuming that Ulduar will be easy enough for you to roll through it in a day or two.

I can't say I'm a "huge" fan of Blizzard's new raid strategy; instead of releasing mid-sized raids, they release them in two flavors: fucking giant, and single boss, Onyxia-style.

I love DK and even then mine's only 73. It's fucking hard to level again.

I wish they kept the old AQ 40.
Was about the size of 30 Molten Cores and then some.

AQ40 is the worst raid dungeon out there imo. The trash near the end is the most disgusting thing in the game, can't believe people had to go through that back in vanilla.

Uh, no. Just because the trash was HARD doesn't mean it was disgusting. Sure certain combos sucked, but if your guild wasn't full of fail you got pass them. Raiding in general was harder back in the days of of AQ40/Naxx, but then at the same time, you could in a casual guild get through MC/Ony/BWL and then have smaller groups doing ZG and AQ20. There was the hardcore tier, and the medium tier. The problem Blizzard had with this is that not enough people would ever be able to see the hardcore shit, so they dumbed it all down for everyone to enjoy. The way they have started to do things now makes sense though. The fight in general is easy, but can be much harder if YOU want the challenge (3d, ect).

Frost Strike doesn't need diseases for extra damage either. I'm not certain how you end up in a situation where you have to take either or. Also, I'm pretty sure Blizzard is trying their hardest to not allow DK's to do disease-less rotations. I don't dislike the diseases, I just dislike a situation where I have to monitor them intently and am fucked if/when they fall off.
did you look at glacier rot? It gives your FS a damage buff as long as your target's affected by diseases.

Woohoo @ SV hunter changes. Our rotation is going to get a little more meat. We finally see Black Arrows after it showed up over the coarse of what the last 4 years off and on through data mining? And more flat % modifiers for our tree and spec.

All those percentage modifiers always ease my fears of whether or not we will scale with our gear properly. But they can be grossly overpowered if handled wrong. I see that BA wont have 100% uptime, but I just wonder if theirs a glyph around the corner that would improve it. Oh boy. And our tier 8 set (which isn't new btw, it leaked a loooooong time ago) looks fantastic. Toss in the upcoming ammo changes and I'm super hyped.

It's like that now though. But I cast Icy Touch enough to where I never feel the need to FS when there's no FF up.

I recall a dramatic long post from you a while back about the horrible things this game did to you and how good it was to quit, etc. Not trying to be a dick here.

At least you play the class of the true pimps

I'm running out of reasons to raid, I don't really need any more loot and its just gotten so boring

I should just do something else with my time

New update on mmo-champion.com

New city tabards (Image is too big to post). The undercity and thunder bluff ones are really nice. Too bad male undead models wear them badly.

The argent tournament also gives mounts and weapons and most importantly, city commendations that give +250 rep. No more rune cloth farming :D
No idea if the new tabards give rep in heroics and level 80 dungeons. Hopefully they don't as it's already a joke to get a home city exalted if you can buy 4-5g stacks of runecloth (and who can't?), though the commendations are a nice touch to make the farming more enjoyable.

One thing to note - not everything about the tournament will be in 3.1. Some is suspected to come later. Maybe even 3.2.

Ulduar teaser was very nice, especially that cool looking train and the stained glass art.

Big outdoor areas are also appreciated. Lots of variety in there.

i'd probably be sick of raiding now too if I hadn't just rerolled a Mage. Lots of work lost, but I've been on my class for years and our guild had z-e-r-o mages. I have no idea how this is, but it is.

If you're a DK, the large duration upgrade to diseases will certainly help you if you have issues.

But yeah, I feel you, good Death Knight's have some pretty complex, unforgiving rotations, especially on some specs.

If it was up to me, I'd say balance class damage on difficulty rather than hybrid/pure. :p Then the top place Mages would be in dead last, and I would be screwed! :(

Wow, S+3 really requires people to not be mentally deficient (something my guild hasn't finished weeding out yet). Give us another week or two and we'll probably have it. We just need that little bit extra DPS from people not dying - waves always coming on the wrong side for our melee (our best DPS) really doesn't help though.

We're having a few more attempts next raiding night though, just to get the feel of all the variables there and the timing required I guess. I've mostly got what I need to do nailed though, haven't died from voids or walls on any attempts yet.

P.S. WTB Webbed Death or even a Sinister Revenge drop. Not one has dropped for me or the Fist/Dagger rogue yet. Ever.

P.P.S. Grats to SOS on Caelestrasz for server first Immortal just now. I'm not gonna argue whether you guys deserve it, but grats anyway. It's a real bitch of an achievement with Australian connections.

Then don't raid. I ran into this problem in vanilla WoW, but since so many other people wanted gear I had to keep showing up.

I can't wait to try Ulduar, but I still have a lot of work ahead of me as a 47. I just have no interest in doing Naxx again after doing it for months on end a few years ago. Old content! Any idea of the required gear for Ulduar? I don't want to be stuck in Naxx for a few months gearing up.

I think it depends on the difficulty when it goes live. If it's easy and still puggable, you'll be fine in the iLevel 200 gear from heroics.

If Blizzard actually makes it a progression raid, you'll need the iLevel 213/226 stuff from current 25 man content. If that's the case, you need to remember that there are new badges coming out, so this isn't going to be like BC where heroic badges will buy you gear that lets you skip progression content.

Nothing against you, but I'm hoping it's the latter.

EDIT: You'd probably be fine in the 10man version of Ulduar in heroic gear. Naxx10 is iLevel 200, same as heroics. Progression from Naxx10 to Ulduar10 should only require that level of gear.

You can simply buy emblem of heroism badge gear from heroic runs. Get in a guild, run 6-7 heroics, run VoA and OS if you want to avoid naxx, and buy 2 tier gear pieces in less than a week. You can get geared nicely without naxx today.

Personally I like progression raiding as well. My (personal) problem is the fact I'm already sick and tired of Naxx because of doing it at 60, and haven't even started doing it as a level 80 yet.

You won't be stuck in Naxx for a few months gearing up. It may take you a few months if you want best in slot for everything. But just getting full epics is laughable. I joined a pug Naxx my first week at 80 (about 2 months ago) and picked up 7 upgrades in one run that would have gotten sharded. I absolutely hated Naxx back in vanilla but now it has just been too good to me. Mix in some badge loot to fill in gaps (trinket and rings especially) and you'll be golden in under a month.

Hunter (Skills List / Talent + Glyph Calc.)
Pet

* Thunderstomp (Gorilla) has been removed as a pet skill and replaced by Pummel - Pummel the target, interrupting spellcasting and preventing any spell in that school from being cast for 4 sec. (20 Focus, 5 yd range, Instant, 10 sec cooldown)
* Thunderstomp is now a pet talent available to any Tenacity pet. Now your bears, crocs or ESPECIALLY CRABS can join in the AE tanking fun.
* Savage Rend (Raptor) now temporarily boost the raptor's damage by 10% for 30 seconds.
* Furious Howl (Wolf) now only affects the wolf and its master, duration increased from 10 to 20 seconds.

Why do I need a Ferocity pet again? And a BM Hunter can put that cooldown to 7 seconds. :lol So good.

Goddammit, Hunters beat the shit out of casters even more now, this time with monkeys!

Also....Disc priests, prepare to rejoice!

Discipline
Grace doesn't reduce damage dealt to the target anymore but now increases the healing received from the Priest by 3% (Up from 2%)
Renewed Hope now also give you a 100% chance to reduce all damage taken by 3% for 20 sec to all friendly party and raid targets when you Power Word: Sheild a friendly target.

:D

I have a feeling thats going to be 250 Champion's Seals since it might be added in a future PTR patch because they added a ton of stuff today already.

* Tabard - 50 Seals
* Faction Banner - 15 Seals
* Faction Mount - 100 Seals
* Faction Pet - 40 Seals
* Argent Hippogryph - 250 Seals
* Epic Weapons - 25 Seals
* Rare Armor / Neck / Trinkets - 10 Seals

as someone who fished up Old Ironjaw, I can totally respect the ownage in this. Ironjaw took me about three hours straight to fish up.

I'm at 2400+ casts and no Ironjaw yet.

It's the random number generator's way of punishing me for fishing up crafty in only about ~200 casts (I'm Alliance).

Funny, I've seen that drop almost every week I've done Sarth........and no Fury of the Five Fights =/

Fury dropped last night too :p

I've seen the helm drop twice before but lost the roll each time, so this was satisfying. It's pretty much the second best helm for hunters next to the Maly 25man helm, which our guild is still working on (we just lost a bunch of core members so it's been tough recently). This helm is better than the other il213 helms for survival hunters specifically, because of the agility.

Where is the money in Jewelcrafting at endgame - selling Meta gems?

Also, harder to get recipes. Runed Scarlet Rubies are like printing money, since it's an annoying recipe to get(Kirin Tor Exalted).

Plus, if all else fails, you can do the daily quest for a token, buy a Dragon's Eye and sell it for 120-150g on the AH every day.:lol

Buy a shitload of saronite off the AH--prospect it, sell gems for profit. Cut gems for profit.

My friend just does the above casually and brings in a shitload of cash every day.

Also, everyone wish me luck. I'm giving up WoW for Lent--so I hope 3.1 is delayed for 6 weeks. =P

I'm also blogging about it, if anyone cares, check it out at http://minuswow.blogspot.com, hopefully I get some funny or at least interesting stuff up overtime. I need SOMETHING to fill the void.

Heroic/Glory of the Raider Achievement Mounts to be removed.

Stupid I think. I don't give a crap about supposed hardcore people, I've done a good amount of those achievements and now it will be for naught. Why do the hardcore people get the best rewards and then they're somehow justified because they're a small %?

This is pissing me off, I dont mind them being removed but we haven't gotten undying 25 man and some of the other 25 man ones done, so now the guild wants to, They also decided we ARE going to copy over and raid Ulduar. This is a lot of fucking raiding considering we are still clearing all 25 man content on live. We are looking at at least 5 day a week shit here for the next few weeks. I thought we were done with that shit once Maly and Sarth drakes were done. I really don't like the full week raiding bs.

^^^ Exactly why I needed to quit for a while. My guild is super casual, but they've been slowly ramping up and it's scary. Already doing Naxx for 6-8 hours (we're very small and have some bads) over a night or two is bad for my relationship. Now they're pressuring to start doing the more intense stuff and I just don't have a time commitment like that. If they got to the above point and wanted to copy over to TR AND do live raids for achievements I'd die.

You're playing WoW for the wrong reasons if you don't know what to do when not playing. I play because when I'm not playing I'm watching porn, sleeping or sitting around bored because my wife works nights now.

They should make it so everyone doing those achievements gets credit if they do it with iLevel 213 items [Raid Wide] or lower.

Dude, I'm not sure you really qualify as having "given up WoW" if what you're doing with that same time instead is writing lengthy blog posts about it and thinking about your eventual return. :lol

That's where you're wrong! I am spending time I would normally be working writing the blog posts and thinking about WoW!

Even bigger profit if you mine your own. I get ~7/8 stacks of ore an hour. If I sold everything I'd be able to pull 800+ an hour easy, but I usually just sell some gems to not flood the market with stacks of blue gems :lol

I don't even have to mine anything. Step 1: buy raw Scarlet Rubies. Step 2: cut them into bold/runed. Step 3: make 40g per gem (it's something retarded like 90g for scarlet rubies on my server, then 130g for the cut ones).

That still holds true? Ever since JC is one of the best raiding professions, regardless of class or spec, and is easy as shit to lvl, everyone and their grandmother has a JC toon on which they do dailies and undercut (huhu) most gems like shit.

I went from making 300g on [Dragon's Eye] to 135g / 150g. Runed Scarlet Rubies went from 180g to 90g in no time. That blue +26 sta gem? Cut 15g, uncut 5g.

Yeah Vashj-EU economy sucks for crafters.
