Yeah, or it'll tell you to "stop casting" or "move". It does come in handy though. The timers for bg's are very very nice as well. There's some great mods for this game.

And some can't pull the "less money" card. EA, Square-Enix, and Sony being prime examples.

Of course not, people who complain about Blizzard doing a shitty job on their maintenance job are just as oblivious as those guys at my hospital that complain how their monitor is shit, that the screen is black, when in fact the monitor is just not correctly plugged in or their damn PC is turned off.

Mm, while I understand the extra down time they really need to cut ou the shitty updates about it, oh hey guys it will be up in 1 hour, a hour later " jk another hour" and repeating that 5 times each Tuesday. They need to quit giving those updates that they know they won't make.

I do know in my line of work I hear "why are you guys cracking down on this problem", "why aren't you patrolling this area more", "why aren't you slowing down people here"? Answer: Lack of budget to put more people on the street.

Hey, people like to vent and complain to me, why can't I do the same? I'd assume Blizzard is in a little better shape to address things though due to their income. And, there's plenty of dead give aways they're not putting a total effort into other aspects, so why couldn't you question this as well?

And that is what I said earlier. Just say, "shits going to be down for a long time, and will be up eventually. But this has been getting progressively worse over time.

i stopped 25m raiding in late march or early april, we cleared 9/12 h-modes before disbanding, lately i hop in game once or twice a week and just pug shit from time to time when it suits me, be it 10 or 25m, i've contemplated apping to a guild to raid in a more organized fashion but honestly i dont want to commit to a raid schedule, 2 nights would be perfect, but most guilds do 3-4 nights

That sounds similar to me in a way. I was doing both 10 and 25 man 4-5 times a week and it just got to a point where I didn't even feel like it anymore. Last week was when I actually started doing ICC again.

Taking a break from raiding is a really good thing once in a while. I've had a 4 months break earlier this year and it really made me want to raid again :D The only downside is that I've missed my guild's first (and sadly, so far the only one... 18% today goddamnit) LK heroic guild, but whatever. It really really makes you want raid again:D

We're currently aiming at clearing it all in one night. Hallion HM is the only one preventing us from doing it right now (the last few percents are insane and caused more wipes combined than Arthas :p)

Good thing you threw in that "usually" bad. Instead of the definitive your guild is garbage and you suck like before. Best part is we're the number 1 10-man guild on the server. I'd tell you to go back to the official forums where you belong, but ignore is much easier.

I look forward to hopefully meeting people like you in bg's since they're opening them up, then when you get owned by a bad you can feel better about yourself.

And for the record, this game is not hard in the slightest. It's a gear-checking, RNG, common sense-a-thon. Especially with all these add ons these days. PVP takes far more skill.

EDIT: Oops, just saw you say I'm awful again, without knowing my characters, my achievements, nor seeing me in action. Another official wow-forum tough guy here folks.

meh, pvp doesnt really take that much skill either, all the gear-checking, rng, and common sense apply just as well to the pvp side of the game

Yeah, on the boss of the PoS with the stack I just pop Magic Shell on my DK, it's simpler than running around.
My brother is playing a warrior and doesn't even bother moving :D

I respec-ed blood to tank on my DK, doesn't have the same feel as the frost spec. It feels slower than the frost dual. Probably just gotta get used to it. However I was topping the dps-meter, felt good man

I would think blood tanking will especially feel better in cataclysm, since they aren't designing bosses around 2 shotting tanks without cooldowns, so you can get more benefit out of the self healing.

I may consider MT our raids again because it looks so good now. If that says anything. It all comes down to how the new rune system works for me, as it'll either be my DK or Pally that i use. Pally sounds fun now too.

Just built a computer and it is fantastic! Running wow with 200 frames on ultra. (in less than crowded areas. Org is running me 60-70 frames.) Now I can get smooth gameplay!

Some much needed Warlock changes, especially to Demonology.
Rolling all the Improved Pet talents into one should have been done a long time ago.
I wouldnt say Demo is now complete(still has Improved Health Funnel) but its at least playable now.

No changes to DKs. DKs can still barely function in the beta.

Holy shit that's hilarious. That actually probably makes Thunder Clap superior to Consecrate. The thing I envied about Thunder Clap is its "snap" aggro element, whereas with Consecrate takes a few ticks to build up threat. Now Thunder Clap seems to have best of both worlds.

The changes to the paladin are super interesting. It's making me want to re-sub, switch my prot pally's offspec from holy to ret, and level a separate pally as holy. :D I just love what they're doing with all 3 trees. And holy didn't really make sense as an off spec as a tank, "Oh we don't need an extra tank for this fight? K I'll switch over and be our 4th healer"

I'm assuming soul leech is still a proc and not guaranteed, because otherwise, 10% health/mana returned when you nuke something is like absurdly overpowered.

Also it might just be me, but I feel like tier 1 affliction is too crowded and not very interesting. Any affliction warlock would want all 3 talents but it feels to me like improved curse of agony/corruption are both pretty lame.

Enhancement

* Bane of Havoc now lasts 5 min. Up from 2 min.
* Nether Protection now reduces all damage by that spell school by 15%. (Down from 30%)
* Afterburn is now named Burning Embers, now lasts 7 sec (Down from 10). The damage done by your Burning Ember effect cannot exceed [ 1/2% of Spell Power + 167.45 ] total damage.
* Backlash now has a 13/26% chance to proc. (Up from 8/16%)
* Shadowburn base damage has been increased by 23%. Now only usable on enemies that have less than 20% health.
* Improved Soul Fire now has a flat chance to increases your spell haste by 7/15% after you Soul Fire a target above 80% health.
* Emberstorm now reduces the cast time of Soul Fire by 0.5/1 sec. (Down from 1/2 sec)
* Bane no longer reduces the casting time of Soul Fire.
* Improved Shadow Bolt is now Shadow and Flame - Increases the damage done by your Shadow Bolt and Incinerate spells by 4%, and your Shadow Bolt has a 33/66/100% chance to cause the Improved Shadow Bolt effect to the target.
The Improved Shadow Bolt effect causes the target to be vulnerable to spell damage, increasing spell critical strike chance against that target by 5% for 30 sec.
* Shadowflame now also fears the enemies.

Arms

* Thunder Clap now decreases attack speed for 30 sec. Up from 10 sec.
* Rend damage has been increased. Now deals [ 8.57% of Weapon Speed * AP + 60% of Weap. Min. Damage + 60% of Max. Weap. Damage ], up from [ 7.14% of MWS * AP + 50% of MWB + 50% of mwb ].
* Second Wind is now a Tier 6 talent. Up from Tier 5.
* Throwdown *New* - Knocks the target to the ground and stuns it for 5 sec. / 15 Rage, 5 yd range, Instant, 45 sec cooldown


Fury

* Heroic Leap now decreases attack speed for 30 sec. Up from 10 sec.
* Enraged Regeneration no longer consumes Enrage effects.
* Berserker Rage now requires you to be in Berserker Stance.
* Death Wish is now a Tier 3 talent. Down from Tier 5.
* Rampage is now a Tier 4 talent. Down from Tier 5.
* Heroic Fury now has a 30 sec cooldown. Down from 45 sec.
* Even the Odds is now named Meat Cleaver.
* Flurry is now a Tier 5 talent. Up from Tier 4.
* Impending Victory is now a Protection Talent.
* Piercing Howl is now a Tier 2 talent. Down from Tier 3.
* Enrage now procs from any damage.
* Unbridled Wrath now generates 5 rage points when you deal melee damage with a weapon. (Up from 1)
* Enrage - After taking any damage, you have a 30% chance to become Enraged, giving you a 6% damage bonus for 12 sec. /
* Raging Blow *New* - A mighty blow that deals 100% weapon damage from both melee weapons. Can only be used while Enraged. / 20 Rage, 5 yd range, Instant, 3 sec cooldown


Protection

* Shield Wall now reduces damage taken by 40%. Down from 60%.
* Shield Block now costs 10 Rage and has a 30 sec cooldown. (Old - No rage, 1 Min cooldown)
* Warbringer is now a Tier 6 Talent. Up from Tier 5.
* Vigilance now let you gain vengeance as if 20% of the damage was done to you.
* Sweep and Clear was changed to Thunderstruck - Your Thunder Clap leaves a crackling zone of energy on the ground for 5/10 sec, dealing 5.63 damage every sec to enemies that cross it.
* Hold the Line now increases the critical strike and critical block chance by 10% for 5 sec.
* Impending Victory *New* - Using Shield Slam on a target with 20% or less health has a 50/100% chance to allow the use of Victory Rush but that Victory Rush only heals for 5% of your health.

Starting to really worry now.

Thats like two straight beta builds and the hunter class is in ruin over there. Our tree specific coefficients for our shots arent working right, Imp tracking is still the odd man out as a 5 point tier one talent that was supposed to go away, our focus is stuck at 3 per second when they told us months ago its intended to be 6 per second, pet frenzy doesnt work so you cant test the self haste BM talent, fervor doesnt give the pet any focus like it should, pets are forced to never use any skills otherwise they never will have focus for growl etc.

The class is a wreck. At least if they could get the focus regen right we could test something. If right now rogues were regenning 10 energy a tick instead of 20 there would be outrage. This is starting to worry the shit out of me. They are really dragging their asses.

Yeah, I'm beginning to think they will ship hunters half-broken if they aren't making fixing hunters part of a major push in the beta. I mean, beta's still got like 2-3 months to go, so I wouldn't be surprised either way.

They've already at least partially fixed rogue talents, so sorry hunters, but i you aren't fixed by now you are really fucked:lol

Nah, I'm just bitter how few changes rogues usually get between patches compared to other classes.

Hunters were introduced as the last class in the vanilla beta and iirc they were finished last in wotlk beta. I wouldn't worry if I were you

man when did gearscore become the most important thing in this game? just resubbed a few days ago and the trade chat is full of claims that only 5k gs is good enough to do anything. on the other hand, find a dungeon is absolutely fantastic! my only gripe is that i can't also do bg while waiting to be put in a group. also, bg marks don't exist anymore? are they useless now, i have like 100 ab, av and eots marks :(

i think the hunter class designers are working on the shaman class or something first. hunters sound like they're going to suck or be completely overpowered when cat comes out.
