I disagree on one match: the DX match. Outside of that one, little to no setup for Vengeance. Carlito and Shelton had last week, but they threw Nitro in there, and that really doesn't make sense to me. Flair and Foley had no set up either... even though Foley's match was the MOST set up for ONS.
At least some of the matches might be good. Nitro, Shelton and Carlito can all wrestle, if Cena doesn't cash in his rematch clause the title match could be good, and Flair vs. Foley has some potential. But there is really no set up for this PPV, and that is going to hurt it.

Doing the first ECW shows on the road was an absolutely terrible idea. They should have booked the Hammerstein or god forbid, the ECW Arena for at least enough weeks for the TV audience to catch on so there's at least -some- excitement. As is, half the people in attendance aren't going to have a clue.

Why do I get the odd feeling that Cena will exercise his rematch tomorrow and set up the planned Vengeance title match of Edge & Cena? I hope not...that will completely invalidate the PPV yesterday.
Hopefully tomorrow we'll get to see some new faces in the ECW mix as well. No CM Punk yet as he's just kinda gotten lost in the ECW shuffle and staying in OVW right now.
But I do agree that taping with SMackdown is a TERRIBLE idea. I do think that's a problem they will remedy fairly quick. The whole ECW as a brand thing just happened and it happened ina damn hurry. They really didn't have time to scout and book venues in advance.

To be fair, alot of the real ECW fans from back then have moved on. If you looked at the crowd from Sunday it was a LOT of kids. Some too young to even have attended a show.shoplifter said:

Foley and Mick is something that should have been built and not hot shot. They've got something that can be big money for them and they just hot shot it in one night... less than 2 weeks before a throw away show. This should have been on Summerslam. Not a throw away Raw show.
The title match is just confusing to me. Because I knw there's no way RVD is walking out of PVV with the title. IF he even makes it that far.
Orton and Angle should be good. Mainly because Angle is in it. He can pull a good match out of a broom stick. Even beat up and half deaf, he's a world class talent and the best in that company.
You know they are going to toss in either Umaga and Eugene or Haas vs Vis inthere to totally bore the shit out of people.

Computer is officially dead, my sister's car was broken into in broad daylight and our bookbags stolen, including 2 digital cameras, tape recorder, my discman, Yu-Gi-Oh! deck which a spent over $100 building, various library books and other stuff. Of course this is the day I miss Raw.

I felt last night show was "meh", especially after coming off a strong PPV. They basically just acted like it never happened, with the exception of Cena's meltdown at the end.

But yes, HBK basically turned himself to a walking rag doll and REALLY oversold everything Hogan did. Just like you said, it was in protest to Hogan coming and demanding he go over.
This is exactly why I DON'T want to see Austin V. Hogan. Hogan with his plastic hip will come in and demand the moon and a GIANT payday for a match that he'll barely do a damn thing in. Austin is great, but he's not Michaels and he can't sell like a crash dummy, especially not now considering his neck.

Despite being a big fan, I refuse to fully celebrate RVD's victory until that spinning joke of a belt is trashed and the real WWE title or an ECW title is put around his waist(err shoulder). Like I said, if appeared with the Spinner last night it doesn't look good for is reign, and sure enough by the end of the show it was revealed that Cena would be making is way to newECW's first show on sci-fi.
Its really going to suck that ECW is being filmed at a WWE venue, because theres something seriously wrong with women, little boys and little girls cheering the **** out of John Cena at an ECW event. Who knows, parts of NJ are "smark" territories, hopefully trenton is.

I totally agree. That's been my biggest gripe with the Cena CHARACTER (he's a great guy, does whatever he's asked) is that damn belt. It just totally contradicts the aspect of him being soooo respectful of the business. Taking the symbol of something he respects so much then just pissing all over it by turning it into a toy.
You can blame the kids who buy that damn replica belt for that thing sticking around. Only when that stops selling will they stop using it.
