It would have been cool if DX was about kicking ass. If they were past the childish bullshit and ready to just destroy everyone in WWE it would be cool. Have them invade Smackdown and ECW to prove how tough they are. But Vince has to go back to his old standbys instead of actually being creative. I would assume NWO should be back around January and while we are at it, let's reform 3 Count.

Dunno, just way too "hammy", which is what I expected it to be. Not a bad show overall though. Carlito and Nitro really did great tonight. Sabu's spot was sick and awesome all at the same time. To make matters better, the show ended WITHOUT Cena's music blaring over the PA.
Overall a better start than we had last week.... let's hope that trend continues.

But with the out of nowhere loss of the X title to Senshi and Samoa Joe obviously facing Jarrett at the PPV, it looks like Joe's our next champ. Good news, imo. If they continue pushing him hard month after month, he's going to be the next big star in wrestling, and he'll definitely get people tuning in more than any of the other generic guys they have in TNA.

Honestly, tonight's RAW was good, ESPECIALLY compared to last week's shit.
DX wasn't perfect, but hey, not much is these days. It was really good, and DX coming out after the month or so of buildup (something rare in WWE these days) with some familiarity to their old material is something that I thought was very suitable.

Of note from the Impact tapings: Kevin Nash wasn't seen or heard from at all, and Alex Shelley is partnering with
out of nowhere, which kinda hints that something is up. It looks like Nash got his win over the X-Division at the PPV and peaced out.

The attitude / monday night wars era was probably the BEST time for wrestling you will ever see.
It had WCW v WWF war going on that had awesome, edgey, new angles (nWo, Sting, DX, Austin, Rock, Hardy Boys spotfests, Etc) that we hadnt seen before (coming from the super hero wwf and the utterly awful prebischoff wcw). It had ecw (dude did you hear about ecw that stuff is like REAL or something...*lol*).
And it was just a fun time to be a wrestling fan.
The lack of competition has hurt more than anything, and imo the ONLY good thing that has come with the wwe monopoly is the awesome dvds, that can finally touch upon people careers other than when they were in wwe.
If anything its kinda sad that wwe doesnt seem to have any standout personalities, I mean where is the next rocks,triple h, hbk, angle, etc?

It's more of a problem in ECW, if they think it's gonna go longterm, though. You have all these original ECW people there, but what happens when they get injured or retire? Unless they get some new people in there and have them feud with old ECW wrestlers, there's gonna be no link to the old ECW. Once that's gone, the entire brand kind of loses something imo. But who knows, maybe it won't even last that long. :shrug:

Many, many new people are coming in. That fed will fill up no problem. Right now, they're just concerned with establishing the old guys so that it'll mean something when they put over the new guys. If ECW survives, we'll see a big roster at the end of the summer as they prep for the December PPV.bjork said:

1) what's the deal with ECW? is it "part" of the WWE like RAW or SmackDown is or is it its own umbrella company thing?
