Main Event: Chris Jericho (c) (w/Stephanie McMahon) vs. Triple H for the Undisputed WWF Championship

There's nothing really to say about this match other than it's competent, which is not the ideal description for a Mania main event. I prefer the the overbooked trainwrecks to something as ordinary as this.

WRESTLEMANIA XIX - 2003

Main Event: Kurt Angle (c) vs. Brock Lesnar for the WWE Championship

Another Mania main event I'd put up there with Hogan/Savage, Hogan/Warrior, Austin/Rock, HBK/Bret, since these two are born rivals and perfect opponents. Lesnar is the first person to kick out of the Angle Slam, allegedly. At one point Tazz says Lesnar is sub-human... This is the first Mania main event where people other than Rock or Austin are kicking out of finishers (not sure whether to count the bizarre end of Sid/Hogan). Does it work here? Sure. This match is good, but not great like you'd want it to be.

WRESTLEMANIA XX - 2004

Main Event: Triple H (c) vs. Chris Benoit vs. Shawn Michaels for the World Heavyweight Championship

The first ever Triple Threat to main event Mania. The story going into this is great and so is the match. You'd think shoehorning Benoit into a blood feud between Trips and HBK would be awkward but it's actually kind of perfect. Benoit is smooth as fuck and this match is like dominoes falling - everything is just perfectly set up and logically leads to the next. Not once does it feel like anyone's out of the ring just to catch their breath, all the finishers have great moments and the end is perfection.

Fun fact: for the first time in Mania main event history, the camera actually catches HBK's nip up after having missed it at 12 and 14. Good job!

Haha thanks. Yeah, it's incredible. I didn't expect that at all, and I prefer the bass drop into the crazy violin work over Subconcious now.
 
I can't stress enough. If you love old school wrestling, go to wrestlemania before the Hall of Fame and stay at the closest hotel. Too surreal.

Part of the mean street posse was also on my plane to Dallas sooo. There's that. (Shane winning?)
 
I'll always consider Rock vs Hogan the main event of that Wrestlemania. Primary reason people watched, one of the last great pairings.

Not sure, but you can just remove your payment option from your account as well, so it doesn't charge when the month is up.

You can sign up, cancel right away, and continue watching for the month. I've done this multiple times. Never had an issue.

According to the Observer, Shane's OMG spot for the Taker match has already been planned and rehearsed. Might be his craziest ever if the rumor of its height ends up being true.

Shane's gonna hurt himself for a pop. That's who he is. I don't think this is a good idea at his age.

Only thing I can think of is he may go through the cell and ring because they can rig a portion of the ring to be safe underneath once they go up top. Just put crew under the ring to slide out some panels under a corner and push a pad under the drop point. If we see a portion of the ring avoided during their match it'll probably be a ring break of some sort. If not...most controlled distance fall would probably involve the stage set somehow. Possibly the entrance ramp or side areas. No one ever goes through the ramp so rigging it would definitely be a moment.
 
Considering shane did it from turnbuckle in raw. It was obvious they had a big spot planned

Totally, but that rumour makes it sound higher than the cell itself somehow. I'd just pop for the Posse more than some crazy spot though, as much as I love Shane.

Oh sweet, but don't think that Taker can't fight off the Posse and win even if they do run in. They were real friends of Shane though, so they might just be coming in the crowd to support their boy.
