Just watching a replay now, lol @ the random crew dude walking in front of the camera after D-Bry wins the belt and the camera is on the commentary team.

Like that random guy coming out of the smoke when Undertaker was making his entrance, such bad timing it made me laugh and killed the 'mood' of the entrance for me lol.

I really enjoyed Wrestlemania, the only squib was that random Sting ending as I was getting into the match and it just... stopped. I'll give WWE credit they had me guessing about the Brock match for a good 10 minutes - I couldn't decide if it had turned into a semi-shoot or something after Brock was cut open. It wasn't until I heard Brock explain a spot I realised it was just a good old fashioned stiff brawl. Good stuff.

Just got home from Mania and omfg that was an awesome show all the way through. Was going nuts throughout the whole thing. Attending a Mania is something else. If I had the money I would love to go to more.

Reigns needs to pull a Cena and break out other moves for big matches.

The weird thing is that he has been doing more moves on TV. Then here he does absolutely nothing.

Also watching this HHH/Sting match with commentary it's clear that it's really just a pure nostalgia match rather than something people who are into WWE who weren't into it during the Monday Night Wars should be into.

Sting vs Triple H was a mess. I didnt even make a lot of sense story wise and then they have DX and NWO appear? WTH?
Sting: This is not about WCW vs WWE! But actually it is.

What a silly entrance by Triple H btw.

I'm shocked! This was the best Wrestlemania in years. Weather or not you liked the results or the booking, the performances put on tonight were fantastic. My only major disappointment was Sting losing to HHH. Does Hunter have THAT big an ego that he'd book himself the winner over a wrestling legend's first time in a WWE ring? Then again, Sting was pretty unimpressive. He can't do a Scorpion Deathlock right anymore because his knees are too shot. Also, the story of the match went from "Sting, the vigilante from WCW set his sights on taking down another corrupt power" to "Return of Monday Night Wars! A-Durp!" If Sting still wants to go against Undertaker next year, he's going to look really weak now.

I'm also pissed that the Andre The Giant Memorial Battle Royal was in the pre-show. However, Big Show deserved that award (and to win a fucking battle royal) at least once and I was very happy that Sandow was the last to get thrown over and finally quit being Miz's bitch, so that rivalry will be good for probably a few months.

"You can't beat me John Cena!" Later " RAAAH! Rusev strong!" I officially love Rusev's character. He has gone over the top into cartoon territory. Congrats Cena. You got the least coveted title in the company. I laughed when Lana threw a shoe in the ring. What was the point of that?! "Really? who throws a shoe?"

If WWE was supposed to make Roman look strong in the main event, they failed. I thought he was the worst part of that match and Brock seemed to be bleeding not because of Roman's punches, but because of those damn metal studs on his outfit. I marked the fuck out when Seth ran down to the ring. The best ending they could have done IMO.

Welcome to Wrestlemania. Where everyone kicks out of their opponents finishers at least two times before finally getting pinned.

All in all though, I thought it was really fun this year.

Holy shit, that was the best possible ending to Wrestlemania. I'm so fucking excited right now, goddamn. Seth getting his dues for being such a great worker and wrestler. Dat wrestlemania glory.

The build up for it was too serious if they were going to play it out like that. There was no indication that Sting held any allegiance towards WCW the way Hunter tried to frame it and then all of a sudden NWO comes out to help him? It was a cheap pop in the way having Bob Backlund as a Royal Rumble participant would be but when you think about it it was pretty dumb. DX and NWO are all buddies and havne't been shy about hiding it. Hell XPac is a member of both groups. NWO got their break by being anti-WCW and has been in WWE so they're not exactly #TeamWCW either. To top it all off the three NWO guys looked old as shit. It just felt cheap once the short pop wore off. If they were going to have interference, I think just having Shawn come out for Hunter and then Flair come out after that for Sting would have been a lot more meaningful. Leave DX and NWO out of it.

You're not supposed to analyse a match like that. Just sit back and enjoy the nostalgia pops. It doesn't have to make sense, it only has to be entertaining and judging by the crowd reaction (and my personal reaction) it accomplished that with ease.

There's a place for great in ring psychology and athleticism and there a place for complex storytelling but on a 6 hour show a 20 minute nostalgia pop has it's place.

"This was one of the best shows I've ever seen." - Dave Meltzer on Wrestlemania 31

Keep in mind he was there live. I thought the show was damn good but I think that's a bit much, and I haven't seen 1/10000000th the wrestling shows Meltzer has.

I've seen better wrestling shows (but make no mistake this was still absolute top tier) but with so many moments to send the crowd into hysterics, I can easily see how that would have been the best live experience ever. It must have been a fantastic crowd to have been a part of. Watching it back people will argue that the Sting match made no sense out that the Ronda Rousey segment dragged on but I guarantee you they must have been amazing to experience live.

I was at the Raw after Mania 29 and when you watch it back it was far from the greatest wrestling show ever if you discount the crowd. Being part of that crowd though, my God it was one of the greatest nights of my life.

A fantastic live crowd hugely elevates the live event experience.

Yep that Sting match was a clusterfuck and Rousey segment seemed like it was stalling for darkness. With that said I was hysterical seeing my childhood come to life before my eyes. I grew up during the Monday Night Wars. So seeing Sting and the nWo and Triple H and DX duke it out in the squared circle was an impossible dream until now. And that Rhousey segment was absolutely incredible live. Hell I marked the fuck out seeing the great one come out. Granted I had a feeling he might show up when Trips said "millions" but I was still in complete shock that he showed up. Being in the crowd last night was one of the best nights of my life. Hell I'm still on a high right now. I was absolutely losing my shit all night long. Was marking out left and right for nearly everything. It's a wonder how I was even sitting down half the time with how hype this Mania was. I was screaming my lungs out with every chant.

Wildcard berths that can't beat teams without a winning record should have homefield advantage
I wouldn't have minded the Sting match ending so much if JBL and Cole hadn't buried him throughout the entire match. It was incredibly stupid and took away from what was happening in the ring.

I can't believe how bad JBL is on the mic as color guy. He is dreadful.

The man who deserved it walked out as champ.

Rollins has been pulling his weight as the top heel for months.

I am happy with that.

'SUPLEX CITY BITCH' lmao.

I wonder who Lesnar is going to have a rivalry with next. And that Sting match wasn't all that imo, it should have been just been Sting vs Triple H without any interference. It felt too messy.

Agreed.

I must be the only one that thought she was throwing her shoe to distract the ref. I thought it was creative. And she held the other one in case she had to do it again.

That's what it looked like to me. I mean, it didn't work and wasn't necessary, but that isn't a problem. She should be trying to get any advantage possible for Pyceb

Now everytime Flair goes into a reminisce about the old days HHH can be like "Yea but I beat him remember, YOU ALL SAW IT."
It was an ego trip and nothing else. It is really ridiculous, but whatever. Goldberg's tenure in the company wasn't much because of it - at least The Rock put him over huge.

That had to be the sorriest wrestlemania card I have ever seen. It truly isn't fair that someone like Broc had to expand the match to 20 something mins when it's clear as space that he could have ended the match within 5 mins.

Wrestling died out for me after I graduated high school in 02, and my best memories will always be the Hogan / Bret Heart / Atitude era. If this is the future of the WWE... I feel sorry for this generation. Having to rely on nostalgia (A DX vs nWo would have be f'n awesome 18 years ago...), 15 min talking fueds of ring legends that are way past their prime.

I'm guessing besides Broc, there really isn't any super star that is along the likes of HHH / Steve Austin / Shawn Michael and the Rock.

Not long now until we have Booker and Corey running colour with Cole. Just have to wait for enough bigoted comments from JBL to pile up.

Wow, so... Great ending for the main event (better than anyone realistically expected), although the match went on for way too long.

As for Wyatt vs Taker, well... First, it was a better match than Taker vs Lesnar. Secondly, Taker has ruined Wyatt's potential. After all that effort that Wyatt put into the feud (and all the non-effort Taker put into it), and he lost? Nah, that's not right, and I don't care how much Taker is liked. A lot of people were cheering for Wyatt, there.

If WWE was supposed to make Roman look strong in the main event, they failed.

He kicked out of 3 F5s (which is what beat Undertaker last year), I'd say that alone made him look pretty damn strong (also fuck this company)

Weirdest thing to happen to me over the course of last night was LL Cool J following me on twitter. I cracked a joke about how he should have played Undertaker to the ring with Phenomenon. Dude only follows about 850 people, so that makes it extra bizarre. My face is sitting there next to Vince, Steph and Ice T.

Sting vs. HHH took a complete unexpected swerve, and it was awesome! Loved seeing DX and nWo with the run-ins. Sucks that HHH won as a final 'fuck you' to WCW though.

Funny to think that Rollins was the first of the Shield to win the title. Before the break up that would have sounded like someone's fantasy booking.

I really dislike that they made the whole Sting vs HHH a WCW vs WWE thing. Why did Sting even agreed to such an angle? It's all about money, isn't it? Terrible ending..
