Wuchang: Fallen Feathers |OT| Saving dat pirate booty

Since you say you've been "stuck at this one boss fight for an hour" and "this bitch" I'm going to assume it's the human lady boss Commander Honglan.

Have you tried changing armor? She does slash damage so putting on your best slash resistant armor will negate a considerable amount of the incoming damage. Resistances and defense can make a big difference in any fight that you're struggling with.
No I didn't. I know that changing stuff around would get me easily past this one, but I am so stubborn, that I want to take her down with my fucked up skilltree and dualblades while running around "naked".

But I wasted 1 hour, it's not worth it, so next time I play, I will change stuff around to get rid of her ass. Otherwise I will make it even more unfun for myself. I just want to keep going and see new places.

Gamers: We want a new game that can look amazing and can give us some Crysis vibes.
Also gamers, when such a game comes out: Optimize this shit, it doesn't look that great.

How can you call this "bad" or "mediocre" is beyond me. This is easily one of the best-looking games right now. Sure, there is still room for improvement. But let's not act like it looks "average".

Σωστός 😉

Any advices? Feels like I've missed some major mechanic. I can die just lying on the ground trying to get up because getting up takes forever and the attacks are so fast and powerful. Best attempt is about 30% health left.
stay on his sides, easier to dodge his attacks that way, also if you see the fire on the ground dodge immediately, and then attack his head as it sticks out.

Just defeated the big tree. Wheres the difficulty that people were complaining? Outside of some mistakes I made, the game is the easiest of all souls-likes. Its insane to me that this is still sitting at mostly negative. Like holy shit, performance has been great.

Commander is the first hard boss imo and yeah performance is really good for me, even better after yesterdays patch, like 120fps+ without framegen

As mentioned, there's one boss that's definitely steps up the difficulty and can be a roadblock for a bit. That said I think difficulty complaints probably stem from and get amplified by a few aspects of the game that can feel "cheap" which lead to frustration, then mistakes and ultimately "too hard". Plus not paying attention to things like armor resistances and item usage also make things more tough for hardheaded people.

Enjoying the game more the further I get. Currently working through Cloudspire. Was pretty neat running through the snow which would melt not only around your movements but also your weapon. My longsword would barely come into contact with the snow but would leave dozens of little ridges across the surface from my movement. Just a nifty little thing they didn't need to do but adds to the experience.

Fighting this boss (the commander) as well. So far a nice little Souls-like, well produced. I can't bear the RPG aspects of those kind of games anymore though. That's just an annoyance you got to deal with.

The commander took me around 8 tries.
It was a mix of getting the deflects right + dmg reduction magic + prayers.

Enjoying the game a lot so far. Not as good as the FromSoft games, but its good.

Just defeated the commander as well. Very gimmicky and once you respec to parry shes easy as well. I really hope shes not the only boss/enemy that can be parried else that would be just fucking retarded. The small enemies are pointless to respec for parry since they die in 2-3 hits. I hate gimmicky bosses. Still I've died a million times more in Lies of P and yet that one is being lauded for some reason. Anyway, good game so far.

Okay turns out "mana" is actually health and you get two items pretty early on that increase flask amount and potency but you ignore it because it says "mana" and you're a longsword strength build and don't need that shit.

[upgrade your flasks asap]

What weapon are you using?

I am getting clapped on the boss under the shu temple. Fire centipede or whatever.

Just force him to get knocked on the pillars. You basically have like 4 or 5 stuns where you can easily do a lot of damage on him. build and sword im using. If ure using longswords its essential you get the skills that give you skyborn every 2 hit and 5 hit. you can easily 2 hit anyone/spam and then just cast some long range spells.

Yeah I finished it a couple hours ago, I ended up swapping back to the axe again, slow but at least does some serious damage.

Been searching out the doomwillow ash forest area with living trees, think I've been everywhere now. Time for another boss fight…

The 3rd boss wasn't too bad especially with the pillars. I tried one hand sword and wasn't feeling it. Went back to longsword. Before when everyone mentioned centipede I had flashbacks to NiOh and that worn or whatever that went all around the room. Next up it sounds like it's a call back to DaS3? lol I love the mimic right after the boss room. Also staying on Chinese dub. Sounds pretty good

Here…got ur 'emergency patch' right here, mofo. It's called American Dollars and I'm not paying it to any shithead with garbage performance game. Bye.

Man I think they need to tweak this game's difficulty a bit. Most of the times I dont even have time to drink health potion in the middle of the combat Its fucking insane
