WWDC 2017 |OT| iOS 11, macOS 10.13, watchOS 4 & tvOS 11

There's no reason to lol.

Apple should just say, Fuck It. Go all-in on the iPad line up and just sell keyboards/mice/pens as accessories.

All the hardware is there.

You simply don't need an iMac or a Macbook.

All they need to do is make iOS more developer/workforce-friendly out of the box and they have a single, unifying product.

Wondering if I could feasibly sell off my MBP and get this new iPad Pro and accessories for writing, writing code, and art. Shit like pictures is either on iCloud or Google Photos anyway.

Finally some proper iOS for the iPads. Didn't take too long, right?

Can't wait. The only thing that didn't bore me to tears today.

Is anyone actually very impressed with this keynote?

I haven't really been watching but it seems like good steps.

I'd love for an iPad Pro/Mac link up like AstroPad though.

This new iPad Pro makes the new iMac seem obsolete. Heck, why even get a Macbook?

can't run logic pro x on ipad
can't run final cut pro x on ipad
can't run photoshop on ipad
can't (easily) run game emulators on ipad
can't have more than two apps on screen on ipad
can't download a torrent on an ipad
can't have multiple monitors on an ipad
can't play PC or mac games on an ipad

all things i do with my macbook pro regularly

This is the difference between Apple and Microsoft's approach to tablets.

Microsoft dumps full Windows onto a tablet, Apple plays the slow game and gradually builds a whole OS.

It's most of the usual apple fluff, but this iPad stuff is actually legitimately impressive.

Honestly that's what's stopping me from buying. If I could link it up with my Mac and have it function like a (far superior) Wacom I'd buy it in a heartbeat.

Looks like I just want money towards an iPad for my birthday this year. Feel like there isn't much of a point getting one now with the update not coming out until sept anyway.

I legitimately think this is the best WWDC keynote

Same. Thought it's been really well done. Both the big and incremental changes to the OSes have been the right changes. Sometimes they've just made the big updates (especially to MacOS) when they needed refinement.
