I'm guessing the idea is that they're trying not to have them outright beat everybody so that when they pass the record number, there'll be a team/teams around that seem like viable threats.

This is the problem with how obviously they've positioned them to break the record. None of these matches feel worth a damn regardless of whether they're entertaining or not. Either ND has to win, or they have to lose by DQ goofiness.

Fair, but it would make more sense to have them beat everyone then lose to the one team they haven't beaten. Make the moment for that team more memorable, which right now is Enzo and Cass. Or they could even debut a new team like The Revival.

All these fuckery finishes are just making New Day seem weak and their opponents look dumb.
