Sunfire (and his sister, equally brief)
Psylocke (yeah I know)
Karma
Jubilee
Xorn (again, I know)
Surge
Armor
Daken (on Norman's team)

And that's just the ones from East Asia.

Oh man I remember owning X-Men Legends II with Sunfire. Great game, wish there was a 3rd coming out by Raven.

You do realize though, that with anime, the longer a series is, the more likely it will not be able to retain the production values and the creative staff right? :P

True but I would still love a 52 episode version of this show.

EUREKA 7

About the only thing I can see holding me back from truly enjoying this show is Cyclops. The guy is just a little to emo for my taste here.

Yeah the shorter length is probably best for X-men, although I generally dislike 13 episode shows especially if its only a 1 season show.

Hasn't stopped me from enjoying the One Piece anime. Though I guess it's different when it's adapted from something and not an original story (or side story/alternate canon in this case).

Finally watched the first episode. It was all right I guess. Not much happened. Fine for a first episode. Next one looks to be cooler.

Also, Jean sounds too old. Just a minor complaint, but still something I noticed.

Eureka 7 and both FMA's were good enough for me tolerate a decline for more kick ass X-men, though!

Anyone else irked by Storm's perkiness? I mean, she's the queen of an African country. Admittedly, not in this series' alternate universe, sure, but, wow, an Aya Hisakawa cutesy girl? Not what I was expecting.

My boyfriend who's an X-Men fan said that maybe now, with this version of her, Kotobukiya will finally release a Bishoujo Ororo figure. I say Hisako's more likely to get one than Storm.

Looking forward to Emma Frost. And Uruvarin is my waifu.

In certain ways Ororo is closer to a younger Jean, and Jean seemed closer to Ororo in characterization. Ah well.

Armor is a relatively new X-Men creation, but she appears much more in recent comics, and has a pretty large role in the team now.

Is she the new teen girl that Logan bonds with to make us more sympathetic towards him?

I kind of wish Xavier's voice was deeper and Logan's more gruff. Honestly I enjoyed those 22 minutes more than the three movies combined.

The first episode ended with me feeling disappointed. Which, honestly, is a good sign. I want to see more.

Also, I got a kinda Astonishing X-Men feel from this. Probably because it's mostly the same team. Ha ha.

Could Cyclops really have killed Wolverine if he wanted to?

I'm not familiar with comics at all besides games and movies, but I thought Wolverine could regenerate from a skeleton.

Well he can still hurt him...just because he regenerates doesn't necessarily mean he doesn't feel pain, and it's a concussive blast meaning even with regeneration it would still be like getting smashed in the head with a heavy object

Cyclops could just totally annihilate him with a strong enough laser blast so he couldn't regenerate, it worked against Cell and Buu.

They're not lasers, they're...

Nobody can. Wolverine is immortal.

Fire, physical force, it can break down opponents into fine organic particles all the same with the necessary power. The original Terminator got mostly squished, not melted or exploded, and yet they could only retrieve the arm and chip.

First 5 min of X-men is better than Wolverine, and Iron man seasons combined. I hope the rest of season does not go to shit.
BTW i really dislike Beast´s design. He looks like a dog.

Kinda similar to Astonishing's design, I think:

Takes time for me to get used to it too, but I like it now.

It's amazing what a huge turnaround the reaction to the X-Men anime is. Madhouse has really gone from zero to hero with just a single episode of this. Hopefully they don't slip up after this.

I like what I saw and want to see more.

Wolverine and Iron Man anime were ass. I saw the Iron Man anime, gave up half way through. Then I heard they were making a Wolverine anime and thought "very hard to screw up Wolverine" and they fucked it up even more.

I probably hated the Wolverine anime more just because of the whole bishounen Wolverine look.

And then they do a complete 180 with this X-men. Wolverine looks like a BAD ASS MUTHA FUCKER like he's supposed to. There was no reason that this should've been good, seriously but it is and I want more.

I hope the quality of this show continues like this and gets even better. I love me some X-men.

And totally not surprised about the Storm "perkiness"... this is Madhouse we are talking about here guys.

The combination of duckroll's desperation (or is it trickery?) and nostalgia for the old cartoon is making me pretty excited for X-Men. It's too bad it's not in English yet...

Besides, dat storm.

They made her hair short. D:

On the other hand, nice rack...
