Xb1/PS4 owners, are you happy with your purchase or regret it?

PS4 doesn't have many games yet, but that's fine, I love the hardware, love the OS, looove the controller, I feel like it's a lean, purpose built gaming system and that's exactly what I wanted. It's going to be a great run.

PS4 and very content.

I bought a Vita around the same time so with PS Plus alone my roommates, girlfriend and I are getting my money's worth already. My friend has put over 50 hours into Don't Starve alone. Plus I've been a console-only gamer so the leap from 360 to PS4 while playing something like Battlefield still blows me away.

Very excited for the future.

Damn if I don't want a WiiU for MarioKart, Smash Bros. and 3D World. I crave local co-op!

i will never regret purchasing the PS4, and if i have enough cash i would buy the xbox one too.

games will come sooner or later. i am not worried about this. i love BF and COD series. why would i play them on old gen that i am sick of when i can play them in better graphics and game experience and knowing other good games are on the way ?

I have both and I regret my Xbox One purchase, other than Dead Rising 3 I don't really enjoy the system. The Titanfall beta has changed my mind a bit, but I could have played that on PC.

I'm loving it to death. The constant stream of plus games is enough to keep me entertained to the point where im only playing those ( fuggin warframe ) while my pickup games are just lying there. Starting march we will get the first glimpse of proper first party sony stuff and from there on out it will get better and better. Love it.

Loving my PS4. Warfame is really good. The deeper I get into the mechanics the more fun I am having. It gets used nearly every day. I've not found myself wanting for something to do with it since launch. But, I tend to switch back and forth between the PC and PS4.

I find the controller on the PS4 absolutely sublime.

Edit: warfare to Warframe

Do you play Warframe on PS4 or PC?

Asking because I played a lot on PC and felt the PS4 version was a downgrade.

Don't regret buying a PS4 because of it's future but I bought most multiplats on WiiU before Xmas.

The Xbone is a garbage system with an os and ui so hilariously bad it would be funny if it wasn't, in fact, so terrible.

The controller is magnificent, that's about all the good I can say about it right now. In a year or so I'd assume they'll have most of the standout stupid ui/os features fixed, but the fact that they shipped it in this condition blows my mind.

No issue with the games (barring that they've all crashed on me, woo, next gen gaming), just the system itself.

Kinect is gimmicky and half baked, and the inability to selectively turn off voice commands in multiplayer is plain stupid. Having bing pop up mid match while you stand in front of someone like a dope is a fun new way to get next gen angry! As with the ui, I expect the voice recognition and options will be gradually improved.

I'm indifferent to the hardware disparity, I'll be picking up a ps4 at some point and all my multiplatform titles will probably be on the ps4.

Don't regret it, but I certainly wouldn't recommend anyone buy one unless they can't live without Titanfall.

So happy with my PS4. Have sunk a lt of hours into KZ multi player. It is incredible. Didn't care for Assassins Creed 4 but am loving Tomb Raider which I just finished. Also have Battlefield. On the PS+ side Resogun, Outlast, Don't Starve etc have all been brilliant. People that are 'disappointed' or have it 'gathering dust', what were you expecting 4 months into a consoles launch? It's far superior to many before it. Plus I must mention the OS. Lightning quick and easy to use.

Very happy with my PS4. The hardware is amazing and I think this machine has great potential considering games like Shadowfall are just the start. Backlog is so big that I'm not fussed about the apparent lack of games.

Had PS4 and XBO for about a month. Sourly regretted it, so I sold both and am now building a gaming PC. Going back to my roots :).

I'm happy owning a PS4 because it was a gift and it's cool owning one this early, but I haven't gotten much use out of it. I'd probably play more of the free stuff or Battlefield online if I didn't have a huge backlog and if I wasn't busy with school.

Launch day PS4 owner.

I think I've played it for about 30 hours total, spread between Contrast, Resogun and flower. I know I'd play it more if I bought Need For Speed Rivals, but I'm completely consumed by Pokemon X. I bought a Vita at Thanksgiving too and have only played about 10 hours on that. I know I'm going to love my PS4 when MLB The Show 14, Mirror's Edge and Cyberpunk 2077 make their debuts but I'm feeling a little remorse at the moment.

I don't regret my purchase though.

*edit* forgot DriveClub Plus Edition

They can get it on 360 and PC.

So far I am very happy with my PS4. Very nice machine. I definitely see a difference in 1080p which really improves the visuals considerably, but the performance of the games and the system are also better. Great controller also. Feels so good. Currently playing Killzone: SF, Outlast, Contrast, Warframe, Don't Starve, DC Online, Resogun, Battlefield 4, Knack and Tomb Raider. Not to mention all of the PS3 and X360 games I have to play. I'm good for a while. Plan on getting an XBone soon as well.

I knew what I was getting into with a launch system (long stretches in between releases, small library, etc). Once games start coming out for PS4 it'll be perfect.

My biggest worry was the controller and at this point I'd say it's probably my favourite controller ever minus the questionable build quality. Just as comfortable as the 360 controller but slightly more functional (speaker, touchpad, more sensitive joysticks, headphone jack, etc).

Zero regrets.

I bought a PS4 and a WiiU semi-recently. I kind of regret both and then again I kinda don't. I know that if I get 20 games during the WiiU's lifetime they will be 20 masterpieces and I know the PS4 WILL get lots of action during the years to come. It's just that mayyybe I shouldn't have bought them at launch.

Very happy with my PS4 even though I don't have a ton of games to play on it yet. I know the games are coming (Infamous will own me!), and it's not like the console is gonna get significantly cheaper anytime soon, so getting it early isn't a negative to me in any way. Also, knowing you have the console that is guaranteed to get the best multiplat versions throughout the generation is certainly a nice change from last gen.

The only reason I turn my ps4 on these days is to use the web browser to watch giantbomb videos. I think sony kind of dropped the ball on the launch line up. The indies that have came out so far are of no interest to me (really looking forward to rouge legacy, transistor, and the witness). I don't regret the purchase I just wish I had enjoyed the launch games I had purchased.

I knew what I was getting into when I bought them so I'm happy enough. However, I haven't powered on either in weeks. They're just more platforms to play more games on.

I'm longing for the inevitable day when we have a single format for games where we can still choose from lots of different devices but only need one of them.

Launch day PS4 owner, absolutely no regrets. One hell of a system, the games I've played so far have been great and the PS+ stuff has sunk it's claws into me enough to keep me going back over and over. I went back to my PS3 to play Left Behind yesterday and the difference in speed is scary.

I'm still playing my PS4 daily, I'm a slow gamer so I take my time and I also try and get as many trophies as I can. A platinum here and there, if possible.

Games:

Killzone: Shadowfall
Lego Marvel Super Heroes
Outlast
Resogun
Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag
Rayman Legends
Lego The Movie Game
Need for Speed: Rivals
Contrast

Looking at this list, I haven't completed a single one except for completing the racer career in NFS. Goddamn, I have to stop playing games until 90% and then starting a new one.

honestly im not, but i got this disease of new console everytime i have to get it on release i didn't even pre order a ps4 i was lucky enough my brother works @ walmart.

the only game i enjoy is fifa, i seriously have no interest in fps games, warframe is ok, but im usually pretty horrible @ games!

i know the launch title were horrible, i wanted a racing game which i got on ps3, drive club delay was also sadness for me.

love the futures on ps4 tho i actually bought a cam and i live stream sometimes that my ps3 buddies love to watch and ask question to me about certain games..

MARCH MADNESS!!!!!!! CAN'T WAIT.

PS4 and very happy. Luckily I'm quite a completionist with my games so there's not been a day the PS4 has been off really. Need to get everything in Lego Marvel.

While it's too early to regret either (i didn't buy them expecting to have tons of masterpieces to play right away) i really don't see a reason to own a One at this point.

I really don't have a lot of time to play anyway, and i can't justify owning 2 next gen consoles, especially not when i completely lost interest in most MS exclusives. I'll be honest, FM5 pushed me over the fence (huge Forza nut) but the game disappointed me in many ways and i really don't look forward to playing titanfall, halo or gears.

While the pad is rather great, i think Sony did a decent job with the DS4 this time, so multiplatform are a no brainer. I'm in the process of reselling it for 400€, might look into repurchasing the xbone when a proper Forza is released but i'll probably just be happy with the next GT by then.

Sorry Microsoft, i supported you in the past, but the One is just one huge design and marketing strategy mistake imho.

PS4 and sort of disappointed so far because there's nothing to play. Also graphically the games that I own (BF4 and Resogun) aren't that amazing. I honestly thought BF4 would look super good on PS4 but it doesn't even look like on PC.

Pleased with my PS4. Played a lot of Killzone 4 and AC4 on it although since the turn of the year there really hasn't been anything new for it apart from Outlast (which was a lot of fun). I knew there would be a drought of games for the next gen consoles so I bought the PS4 knowing that was the case, I just had to have one.

X1, and using it more than I expected, given typical launch droughts.

My 7-year-old has been playing Lego Marvel non-stop, and some Just Dance, which I understand we could play on other systems. We'll be getting Garden Warfare next week.

My wife and I have been using Xbox Fitness nearly every day since launch.

I also have F5, Ryse, COD. I enjoy the first two, and will trade COD for Titanfall.

I'm hyped about Titanfall. I just got a new job where a lot of people have Xbox Ones (and only two PS4s, btw). We already have "Titanfall Fridays" planned.

We quite enjoyed Kinect Sports on 360, so I'm looking forward to Rivals in April. My wife likes Dance Central, so I hope there's an XBOX One version this Christmas.

I've had no game crashes, but it did lose WiFi once, and required a reboot to fix it.

My PS3 friends, with whom I used to played Borderlands, have upgraded to PS4. Part of me is thinking I might want a PS4 to play Destiny with them, but with so many Xbox Ones at work, it seems like a waste. My son does love Little Big Planet, so that might motivate me to get one. I understand all the advantages of the PS4, but right now the games aren't there to push me over the purchase line. I know that will change.

Very happy with the X1. I've bought Ryse, DR3, CD, Powerstar Golf, Peggle 2, KI, and none of them have disappointed, in the case of Ryse and CD, they've exceeded my expectations considering the critical mauling they got in some areas.

Xbox Fitness is awesome and depending on the pricing structure, I'd like to keep hold of it when the 1 year trial finishes. I've also been a Xbox Music subscriber for over a year now and that gets plenty of use, they really need to allow it to play completely in the background though.

Looking forward, TF, QB, SO, FH2, H2A all dropping (or likely to) this year, solidifies it was the right next-gen console for me to pick up first. The main disappointment for though, is no SKY tv app, really hope we get one soon, but I still have my 360, so it's not too problematic.

Edit: Yes, the leap over 360/PS3 games does justify its existence. Ryse and DR3 have loads of moments that floored me.

Regretted my Xone purchase and sold it. Not that it isn't a promising system, I just think I've had my fill of gaming. Nothing really grabs me anymore. Old Man yelling at clouds sorta thing.

Still gonna buy Titanfall on 360. :p

Love my Xbox One so I'm very happy. Not interested in the PS4 after trying the controller out. I just don't like it. However, I wish the Xbox one had the internals of the PS4 and gave up on the Kinect this generation. Oh well. It's good enough for me so far with the visuals and I just really like the ecosystem / controller more.

Happy with PS4 and XB1. Graphics are good so far, even if they haven't been the leap I was hoping for *ahem... jaggies*. Some small, non game related things suck about both consoles like not being able to put my own wallpapers on them, and not being able to stream music from my computer. Oh and both UI's need some tweaks.

The only thing I actually regret is getting rid of my Xbox 360, as I was using it to rent UFC PPV's. Yeah, really didn't think that one through on how I'd watch them. Oops.

I have a PS4, and I'm not happy with it right now, but I also don't regret getting it.

I'm not typically an early adopter, as I think it's incredibly stupid to buy a system before it has a good library, but I'm in a situation right now where I'm not sure what will happen with my job in the coming year, so I had to pull the trigger now.

If I wasn't in that particular situation, there's no way in hell I would have a PS4 right now, because there isn't a damn thing to do with it.

Pretty happy at the moment. I have had Warframe, AssCreed IV, Lego Marvel,DCUO and Skylanders to keep me busy for the first few months. Now that I am wanting some new stuff to sink my teeth into there are quite a few games coming out over the next couple months I'm looking forward to.

Seems like at the moment there will he a steady stream tor at least a little while and with more of my friends making the jump it will make stuff like Warframe, DCUO, and FFXIV even more enjoyable.

I love the hardware and controller, and despite some organization/cosmetic issues I like the New UI. Not my first New console rodeo though so I knew to expect a slow trickle for awhile. I just wish we could get a more regular stream of indie games to fill the gaps.

Got a PS4, love it, I like many others are waiting for the big hitters too but FIFA and Ghosts is tiding me over for now as well as working through my Vita back catalogue, I just completed Final Fantasy IX again and I'm now on Guacamelee.

I think this new gen was long over due and I look forward to see what devs can do now without the RAM restrictions of last gen.

68 hours on bf4 alone.

Played multiple hours on Warframe, pinball arcade.

Resogun rules.

Had fun with don't starve and outlast. (both not my type of game)

Knowing that I'll be playing Thief, Infamous:SS,Driveclub and Watch_Dogs in the next 4 months.

Regret? Only thing missing was Infamous:SS at launch, but I guess their money was on Driveclub.

My PS4 has been collecting dust since December. I don't remember the Wii drought being this bad... that was the only other console I ever bought on launch. Then again, maybe Zelda and Wii Sports just kept me busy for that long.

I'm glad I have the PS3 to supplement.

PS4 I'm happy but I hardly play it ..... still going through my Vita/3DS/360/PS3 backlog ..... I know I will be happy in the future but really I should have waited 6 months ......
Really looking forward to Infamous Second Son .........
Most prob wil buy Xbox in the future but definitely not for another year, a new house and son put paid to that

Considering how hard it's been to get a PS4, I am happy that I preordered.. But it needs some games and a big update to the UI.. I want to be able to customize it.
