Xbox community criticizes DF's bias (in Thumbnails) towards the new Xbox console in their coverage

If you think that's bad, they outsourced their reaction to Switch 2:

🤣 this fucking schizo man.

yes, the overall bandwidth per second is lower than the peak possible bandwidth of the fast memory. that is still not even remotely comparable to what the 970 did, as that card inevitably ran into compatibility issues where part of the memory was simply not detected at all by the game, making it effectively a 3.5GB card. and on top of that, the memory speed difference was insane. it was a fraction of the speed of the rest of the VRAM, while on Series X, all it really does is push down the average GB/s by maybe ~20% at most, if even that.

the VRAM setup of the 970 meanwhile, when it was actually detected correctly by the game, could completely crash the speeds and introduce massive stutters whenever the slower memory was accessed.

now, stop schizo posting

The memory bandwidth when accessing the SX's two RAM pools drops to LESS than the PS5's memory bandwidth

Learn to shut up, you idiot.
The Xbox SX is a piece of shit for Azure.
The 1.8GHz clock speed, a garbage downclock, is because it's a conservative server clock for Azure.
The split memory is because Azure uses an SX with 20GB of RAM to run four Xbox One instances.
The Xbox SX is shit because they committed to Azure. YOU, the idiot who bought the SX, subsidize the Xbox Cloud servers with Azure.

But the old idiot from DF thought it was the PS5 with a "last-minute overclock."

While it was MS that was making everyone, the "12tf" fans, look like idiots and whores.

Same DF that were inventing myths about PS5 bottlenecks and were provided with Xbox Series reveal hardware back in 2020? Uh-uh.

People do have memory of a goldfish.

dude, you are clearly not well mentally. this is some insane schizo posting.

but to make one thing clear: on average, you can expect the memory throughput of the Series X to be roughly on par with the PS5. sometimes worse, sometimes better, depending on what is currently accessed. on average it should be within +/- 5%~10% of the PS5. it doesn't copy data from the slow pool to the fast pool or the other way around, it simply accesses the memory, which will result at worst case scenarios to around a ~440 GB/s bandwidth if we assume it switches from the slow pool to the fast pool at a near 50/50 ratio. if we assume there's a scenario where it accesses the faster one more, that number goes up, and in scenarios where we assume it accesses the slower more, that number goes down.

ad hominem:

marked by or being an attack on an opponent's character rather than by an answer to the contentions made

That response of yours is the definition of victimhood.

The guy started cursing me and using ad hominems.

I can imagine your mother being beaten in the street, defending herself and sticking a knife in the attacker's stomach. And I'm like a filthy rat accusing your mother of being "an aggressor too."

Now get lost.

When accessing the slower memory pool, memory bandwidth drops dramatically.
Same problem as the Xbox.

Now you're inventing problems that have nothing to do with anything, like a buggy game or a bug in the GeForce driver that prevents full memory detection.

Where were they when DF made a video talking about the PS5 and Xbox Series X specs and were all over Xbox?

Maybe its their own fault they keep failing in this business and now just released undercooked hardware that had mediocre reviews all around? It's not just a DF thing.

Meanwhile imagine analysing a video from Mark Cerny and not being excited. What's not clicking for them?

DF is in a constant state of being Xbox shills, Sony shills, Nintendo shills, Xbox haters, Sony haters, and Nintendo haters.

this is worse than Schrödinger's cat... it's like 5 Schrödinger's cats in one!
You're skipping over the important issues... is it 5 cats in 1 box or 5 cats each with their own individual box?

How fragile, sensitive and thin skinned are people that throw tantrums at the facial expression of the thumbnail of a video??
Quick, everybody close your windows, the slightest breeze will give them a cold...

I think their look of bewilderment is more in the style of ''Why would anyone buy next gen Xbox when they port all their stuff to other consoles and they are also dropping off from retail pretty much everywhere outside the US''.

lol i was on DF the other day and looking through the vids i saw both thumbnails and i must admit i thought it was a little strange both thumbnails for a tech site.
I mean someone obviously made the thumbnails forboth vids so its not like its some random mistake.

Maybe they were just tired of being called Xbox shills.

They are no longer dictated by Eurogamer. They are free now.

You were complaining about him using ad hominem attacks and immediately resorted to using the exact same attacks, I was just pointing about the hypocrisy thereof.

Also, grow up and don't use my mother in your absurd forum attacks.

The thing is that anything ms says or imply must he met with a solid dose of scepticism.

This is just their history.

The series consoles launch particularly was so dense in gaslight, the 12tf thing, vrr, vrs and what not.

So yes, nothing is to be taken at face value.

If I don't like being insulted, I have to respond politely to those who insult me LOL

If you didn't understand the paragraph above, you should seek therapy and get off the internet with your fundamentalist binary thinking.

Of course you don't have to respond politely if you are insulted, but you did so while complaining about being insulted. That's pretty much the definition of hypocrisy.

The only one who should get some therapy is you, insulting people to this level over a few forum posts is hardly normal.

As someone who liked my Series X more than my PS5 for most of this gen.. I still think MS has earned their skepticism.

On the same subject, Alex from DF is still heavily invested in this, only a few weeks ago did he mention how we're finally starting to see the Series X overtake the PS5 in performance thanks to its advantage in compute power and that in a few years time the gap will widen further, although Series X will large be irrelevant by that point with the way things are going.

Just a critique of mine as he doesn't see the bigger picture, it's Mark Cerny's job to make the right bets on the hardware choices when designing their console. If Cerny foresaw that at the time most game engines would still favour a certain architectural design (faster clocked GPU) then it's probably why he went for such a design, as adding more compute would be expensive in terms of silicon, and it paid off from what we've seen... as so far the PS5 has done a good job in maintaining parity in performance with the Series X, whilst also maintaining a cheaper silicon cost.

I don't know how Xbox loyalists can defend what is happening or happened to the brand....the value of it has diminished.....exclusives are out the window...that says it all

Next XBox will be 3x more powerful than PS6 and DF doesn't give them any credit. 100% Sony fanboys.
I assume this is sarcasm? But you speak with such certainty and authority. Maybe they have learnt a lesson that...

on paper power != real world performance

Why would anyone give them credit for anything until they see the results based on their history 🤷🏻

Of course you don't have to respond politely if you are insulted, but you did so while complaining about being insulted. That's pretty much the definition of hypocrisy.

My friend Dr. Zoidberg, who is an expert on humans, told me that it is much better to rub tabasco sauce on your asshole when you feel insulted and then bang away on your keyboard for optimal response results.
