First response to the thread was negative. Obviously
SaucyJack
was making a lighthearted joke and OP did kick things off with a comparison which always ruffles feathers, but there are people here that are account suiciding over the mere notion that this service might be doing well. Here's my question, and maybe some of the more level headed anti-Gamepass members that haven't been sent to the ranch can try to answer it for me.
Why do you care if Gamepass is a success or not if you
a) are not an Xbox/PC gamer and can't/don't use it
b) refuse to ever use the service and haven't even tried the $1/month deal to see if it's as bad as you think
I'm curious how long it can remain at $15 a month (or less if you used the $1 cheat codes) and I'm also curious how it will evolve as the new studios ramp up. That's not my problem though, it's Microsoft's problem. Right now it's among the best deals going in gaming and I'll use is as long as it is. It's not like you can't cancel the service if things change so I don't get the negativity at all.
Opinions like that of

and people that generally dislike recurring payments are absolutely reasonable. They've weighed their options and chose what works best for them.
How?
It's just a bunch of normal games just like any storefront, only you already paid for all of it so you can install anything there. You literally have to go looking for DLCs on the PC app.
The console version is even less intrusive. All Gamepass games just appear in your game list as ready to install and again, you have to go over to the store to look at DLC and add-ons for the games.
