Xbox One Backwards Compatibility Thread: Everyone wants it, no one uses it

I started it last night on my 360 in my quest to get 100% caught up in the AC world for next year's (have Unity & Syndicate left) - I would LOVE it if Rogue hit BC!!!

I've played every AC game until AC Black Flag. I have Unity as well. I just don't want to start and finish Black flag and either stop playing till I get Rogue or skip it to play Unity,

I'm with you here, haven't played it at all and was actually surprised they didn't make it a digital download for current gen. Failing that, some BC action would be cool.

I have the 360 version but no longer have a 360. :\

If you like the series whatever you do do not skip Black Flag! Probably my favorite so far, probably will stay my favorite unless Syndicate is especially awesome. - And so far Rogue is a cool baby brother to it.

Anybody that owns mark of the wolves want to play?

Just FYI I'm not really good because I got the game very late and never played any online matches.

Edit: sorry something came up and can't play anymore but another time if anyone wants to play just check my gaf profile for my xbox GT and hit me up.

Can't believe I didn't own Sonic The Fighters... I was sure I did. I must've been thinking of the Gamecube Gems version. Oh well, £3 = bought.

Got all the achievements in about 15 minutes, that wasn't difficult. Fun but ultimately not very good game. Emulation was perfect.

I played through the first 2 chapters of Dead Space on normal difficulty - it runs perfectly except for a couple of rooms in the medical bay which had some slowdown. Don't know why those particular rooms were a problem but it was perfect everywhere else.

Not skipping Black Flag, just on the fence about Rogue. I want to just dive in and play Black flag and all the way till Syndicate on a single platform without stopping.

I would like some Doom 3 BFG, please!

Same, but it might never get added, seeing as how it wasn't released on GoD. :(

So, about Garou; am I the only one having trouble pulling off some moves? Specifically, I was having trouble doing Butt's Ryuuko Ranbu (QCF x 3 + SP). Maybe I'm just rusty, but then, I've never been a Garou expert.

What's everyone's #1 game they want to be BC, but isn't yet?

Mine is Metal Gear Rising

Definitely Super Street Fighter IV (with Ultra SFIV DLC, obviously). I also have a small list of games that I bought on sale for in case they were ever made BC, including Tomb Raider Underworld and Portal 2. Gunstar Heroes was also on that list, so I was excited to see it be made BC.

My #1 wish was Dead Space. Now that we have that, my wishlist is mostly games that I own but aren't BC yet, some of which I've yet to play all the way through. My top picks would be...

Alice: Madness Returns
Crackdown
Dante's Inferno
Duke Nukem 3D
F.E.A.R. 2
Max Payne 3
Prey
Spec Ops: The Line
Vanquish
Warhammer 40K: Space Marine

And wishful thinking on games that are multi-disc and/or not available digitally:
Dead Space 2+3
Doom 3 BFG Edition
F.E.A.R.
Mass Effect 2+3
Quake 4
Rage

Are they not giving Deus Ex Human Revolution with Mankind Divided?
Also, do the R6 Vegas games run well?

My wishlist for BC:

- Battlefield: Bad Company 1 & 2
- Splinter Cell: Blacklist
- The Sabotuer
- Dragon's Dogma
- Arkham Asylum & AC
- Spider-Man: Web of Shadows
- X-Men Origins: Wolverine
- Wolfenstein (2009)
- Vanquish
- Tenchu Z
- KOF13
- Fable: Anniversary
- The remaining 7th-gen Assassin's Creed titles
- Viking: Battle for Asgard
- UFC Undisputed 3 (EA's UFC games have been terrible)

RDR seems like a given at this point, and the Bioshock games are very likely getting the remaster treatment so I'm omitting them.

I'm sure there's a chance since Phil himself it's really important to him that LO and Blue Dragon get working. We're just waiting on them to figure out what to do with multi-discs.

Easiest way I'd see is have them download all 4 discs and run with only disc nr 1 inside.

Where is Forza Horizon?
Do they have problems with Cars (peugeot/citroen) or Music licenses?
Or they're just waiting the E3 to announce Horizon 3 and give it as a pre-order bonus?

Possibly your first suggestion. Possibly your second suggestion. Possibly just not running smoothly in the emulator yet. Who knows. We're only what, 150 games into the 360's 1,000+ catalog though? The vast majority aren't up yet, so there's no much use in wondering where each individual game is right now.

Am I the only one that gets happy no matter what game is announced as BC? Even if its a game I have no interest in.

So glad that more people get the opportunity to play games on a current console with a better controller, game DVR, Twitch etc.

Seems like so many people here can't get enough of RDR which came out 6 years ago... so much that I wonder why they got rid of their 360's if they can't stand to be away from RDR. ;P

That game is the only reason I kept mine. The multiplayer is still decently populated & I've gotta finish the story at some point.

I also wonder if any of the Lost Planet games were considered.

I just want to replay it with the superior controller and be able to take clips and screenshots;

I just want to play it on the Xbox One, and play it with the Xbox One controller.
I do have a X360 that I may use at any time, but I can't go back to old gen, or the X360 controller.

Mirror's Edge is one the OP list, but I put the disc in and went to Install Disc and it said the game is not playable and to go to the list of available 360 titles...

EDIT: Restarted the console completely and it worked on startup

It's just easier to use a current system to play a game. I still have some 360s around, but other systems are taking the space around the tv, so I'm very pleased the XO added backwardscompatibility. Makes it easier + I believe the goal with digital distribution in the long run should be to always have as many games available to users as possible, as long as something like licensing doesn't prevent it. So there needs to be a bigger effort towards keeping things backwardscompatible.

So I don't have to keep and Xbox One and Xbox 360 hooked up at the same time, or maybe even get rid of my 360?

Hell, if I could get RDR on PC we wouldn't even be having this conversation :)
