Xbox One Backwards Compatibility Thread: Everyone wants it, no one uses it

I used the backward compatibility feature to play South Park: The stick of Truth on my XBone. I faced some freezing and audio issues, but I was able t beat the game and earn 640 achievement points eventually.

Some characters moved incorrectly during a scene; game dropped the audio in the girls hideout and then froze. These are the things I experienced.

Edit: Looks like those glitches/bugs are also on Xbox 360. Internet is full of audio issue complaints.
 
I know we shouldn't put wishlists in and people really want the big games but I really want Dishwasher DS and Vampire smile, 2 of my favourite last gen games.

Git dem arcade games MS, we are waiting...

I hope so, cause Sanctum of Slime was not that great and the new game looks like it's the same game. I'm all for twin-stick shooters, but that one was not very good. The original Ghostbusters game is still available for digital purchase, so that means the publisher still has the licensing rights. Hopefully they make it happen.

I started following tak fuji on Twitter after that crazy conference. I don't think he had a nervous breakdown though.

He was diagnosed with cancer and dealt with that and then konamis implosion

He's still in the industry afaik

Yeah, hope so. There's a PC version too but there's no local co-op, so I'm looking at the 360version( ps3 version I hear is noticeably inferior?)....

Yup, Tak has/had cancer and has been dealing with it. He has not had a nervous breakdown at all. He's great. I love him dearly.

Decent list. I have to agree with one of the other posters. Why BC: Rearmed 2 before part 1? The Capcom Arcade Cabinet is cool as that technically has almost 20 arcade classics in it, right?
You know what else I like about this list? the continued support from SNK, Capcom, and Namco. SE giving us Crystal Defenders is cool, but would prefer Infinite Undiscovery or even the FF13 series.

I may be crazy but I remember it being a prominent part of the initial graphic they had showing BC games (which included games that were not available with the launch of BC). I also remember him saying that all Microsoft published games would come to BC.

I bought it a year ago during a sale specifically for BC and have been very disappointed it hasn't come yet. It's the only BC game I want.

It's still available digitally, so they still have the license for all the music and cars. Really I don't care about streaming it. They can disable streaming for some games if needed.

I hope it does. Look at RDR. They put it on sale multiple times for $7.49US ever since BC was announced. It eventually got a BC release and was on sale again when it happened. I hope that holds true for Forza Horizon 1 as well. It has been put on sale numerous times since BC was announced. let's hope it get's a BC release soon.
 
Are the new BC games supposed to be available yet? It's not working on my Xbone... It isn't coming up in my ready to install and I can't even find it in the store menu when I try to browse for it?
 
Capcoms Arcade Cabinet flew completely under my radar. I didn't even know it was released on 360. A bunch of great games in there and never thought I'd see the day of getting achievements for Ghosts n Goblins!

You might need to wait until availability hits your account or just restart your 'My games & apps' app or console to trigger a recheck. I can see all of my BC titles from today's batch (CAC, NGBC), but not BCR2 so it might not all be up yet.

Yeah, one of the Giant Bomb Quick Look videos on youtube alerted to me this thing existing not long ago. It made me realize that I wanted to get the "full pack" thingy, but I forgot about it until just now lol.

Something fucked up is going on right now cause it never showed up in my list, yet I've bought/beaten before (it's history is still in my achievements). So checked the store and indeed it's up there... and it asked me to buy it again!
I accidentally hit confirm and it showed up in my list (didn't charge though as I immediately checked my purchase history on xbox.com... last thing I bought was Red Dead). Now, it's downloaded but it still won't launch claiming I probably don't own it

Hooray for the all digital future....
 
Oooooo, Capcom Arcade Cabinet was one I've wished for but assumed might never some, that's a nice surprise.

Hoping BCR2 means BCR is due eventually, too.

No. I own it as well and it's not showing up as owned for me on XB1 either. I logged into the web store and it shows I own the 360 game but the XB1 version only has a "Buy Now" button.

I own Capcom Arcade Cabinet as well....on PS3. I'm really regretting buying any multiplatform stuff on PS3 at this point. I know the reason why I did though, it just happened to go on sale there first. Otherwise I bought most third-party games on 360. Hopefully that kind of thing will go away if future platforms for MS and Sony will always be BC.

I still can't download Bionic Commando either... isn't in my install now list but shows that I own it on xbox.com ... if I try to search through xbone store it doesn't even exist?

Sure hope it isn't because I have the preview OS/Dashboard... glitch?
 
I'm redecorating and cleaning my entertainment room and found a copy of Oblivion I had totally forgotten about.

I really want to play it.

It's not installing from my Capcom Digital collection disc either, it's only downloading Flock and Final Fight. I think BCR2 is broken in some way.
