Xbox One Backwards Compatibility Thread: Everyone wants it, no one uses it

I recently bought an xbone and I'm going through this as well

I was running through that list and thought "oh cool I own that. Wait shit wrong system " on at least a dozen titles.


The two games I'd want to be BC aren't yet and I dunno if they're popular enough to have the work done. So far I've used it to play geometry wars though and that's pretty cool.
 
I just switched my Xbox to download Sonic Episode 2 but I think there's a problem with Xbox Live, I can't play any digital game or send msg or anything.

Anyone else getting the same problem?

I was getting that message almost immediately after it became BC, but it worked fine later that day; I even managed to get most of the single player achievements.
 
So it would seem that Activision was able to renegotiate with Marvel to get Ultimate Alliance re-released...has this increase the chances of Capcom doing the same and getting MvC3 on BC???

Turned off the xbox by the mains and it worked when i booted up again, forgot how much fun this game is even if its visuals are quite dated.

Yeah but at what price? Now it's 100% not coming to BC. I'm glad I didn't buy them when they were on sale a few months ago

I read this interview, and I'm sure it will be the same level as the Prototype re-release, even have the same prices...

I refuse to re-buy any more of these cash grabs. They should offer gamers a choice. Have both BC and the so-called remaster or at the very least offer an upgrade discount to those that already own the games from last gen.
 
Is The Missing Link fixed and working in Human Revolution? I doubt it's essential in any way, but how fun or meaningful is it?

I have Boom Boom Rocket. Decent fireworks and music game. I remember when they added support for guitar controllers. That did not work well. Stick with the standard controller.
 
Is there a place where we can make requests for games we want to see get the B/C treatment? Deathsmiles is the only 360 game I have left that isn't on the B/C list. I'd like to see that fixed!

In the same boat - I have a list of 10 games that I'll rebuy digitally the moment they come to backwards compatibility. 3 of those games on that list are the Metal Gear Solid/Rising/Peace Walker games on sale this week. Really want to buy 'em.

But after buying Bioshock 2 and it so far never materializing (and that one was on the official list of "Coming Soon" since November), I won't do that again until it's actually delivered. Of note, Metal Gear Solid 2/3 HD is on EvB's list, so chances are pretty good.

Castlevania: SOTN is on sale for $5 though. May pick that one up. I've heard nothing but great things about that game, and hopefully the revenue sends a message to Konami.

I really enjoyed Castlevania: SOTN on PSX and yes Saturn. I bought it day one when it was released digitally on X360. I actually played through it again when it came to BC.

Good news, everyone! They have finally fixed Bionic Commando: ReArmed 2 and it's actually working on Xbox One. You should be able to download and play now.
 
I noticed just now that TriggerHeart Excelica became BC. Guess I can play it again!

I wonder if this means maybe... some Cave titles will become BC? Can a man dream?

Hopefully, I wonder why it randomly popped up at this time. Can you get yours to launch? Mine's telling me that it's not playable here yet.
 
I'm in the preview program, so after doing a manual update, BCR2 finally showed up on my install list. Still no Triggerheart Excellica, though.
 
See TriggerHeart here in the US; Wohoo! I always enjoyed it, and still hum it's music now-and-then.

And YAY for Boom Boom Rocket, also! I really wanted to play it on 4th of July, lol. Brother should also enjoy that it's been released.

Now I'll also hope for Omega Five...
