Microsoft does not want my money. they never fixed the buying BC titles with store credit issue.
the only way is to use a 360 and I don't have one
Are the Doom 1 and 2 ports good?
Does Doom 1 include all Ultimate Doom content? So close to buying both since they're on sale.
Apparently Microsoft already has your money.
Yep DOOM has Ep4. Theyre both 1.9 versions as far as aware. It does have the different graphic on the med kits though if that bothers you. Otherwise perfect ports.
I wish id would put Final DOOM and the Master Levels up too. Miss those.
Where the fuck is Skate 3, jesus christ.
On 9 August, 9 months will have passed since the announcement that Skate 3 and the Bioshock series of games were to come to backwards compatibility. Sad face. They're never coming, are they?

Cave expects Guwange to be their next BC game because they've heard that XBLA games seem to be easier to support BC. But everything is up to MS, there is nothing to do on BC works for Cave but just give approvals to MS.
Sounds like many Cave games are in the queue.
Also, Bullet Soul (5pb) might support BC. The game's producer is working on it.
There's no way MS are paying Rockstar/Activision to make their games go BC I think. BC is already probably a waste of resources, time and money for them, I can't see them wasting even more more than they need to.
I think it just comes down to R* and Activision just having no plans at all to remaster certain games, so allow MS to do all the work while they reap in some $. RDR we know is a mess code wise, and CoD games are annually it's kinda hard to remaster them (this year being an exception, and most likely only shoehorned in because not many like the futuristic take and it was too late to turn back - Ghosts didn't help either.)
Yeah that's no doubt their plan but I don't believe it's actually effective, perhaps if BC was there from the getgo it would have been but in terms of keeping people in your ecosystem I think it's a bit too late and people will buy what their friends have now, or what they always intended to buy BC or no BC. Of course, I'm not saying nobody buys an XB1 solely because of BC, but I don't think it's enough people for the whole initiative to be worthwhile to MS.I have to disagree. They see it as a viable use of resources. They believe there are X360 uses that have not left last gen, mainly due to certain titles not being BC. They are hoping they can get more people to go ahead and upgrade with the addition of BC, something Sony does not offer. If Activision and Rockstar had no problems signing off on BC, then they would have let gamers know a long time ago "hey, we said yes, speak to MS, it's on them now" which other publishers, even prior to Cave, have done.
Also, think about this for a moment, last gen saw the sale of 85 million X360 and 86 million PS3 systems. That's 171 million total systems. This gen X1 is at about 20 million and PS4 at about 40 million for a total of about 60 million. That still leaves over 100 million that have not upgraded to a next gen system. They definitely see BC as a feature and incentive and probably were willing to spend to get COD: BO and RDR on BC.
I think this is a technical issue with how the 360 store is set up. If this is the case, it will never be fixed. Sad, since MS won't be getting my information, ever. Everyone loses!Microsoft does not want my money. they never fixed the buying BC titles with store credit issue.

come on, Condamned 2....
With Scorpio as strong as it it, could it be full BC, no need for a wrapper and re-license games? It could play the games straight from DVD with no need to install? It could literally play every 360 game?
Theoretically they could install games from the disc onto the VM instead of downloading the prebuilt VM. My guess is they don't want people trying to hack XB1 with phony/modded 360 discs. So they download all game data from servers which is why they need the okay from the publishers. If they weren't afraid of the XB1 getting hacked, I'm sure they'd let you play any game off a disc.
"It is essentially the exact same code," Rayner replied. "The Xbox team converts the 360 game and 360 flash PPC executables into native x64 executables, packages those up with the 360 game assets, 360 flash and emulator as a regular Xbox One game, and publishes it."

Bioshock was a lie. The remasters are coming.
Or will it will come much later than the remaster

It sold 85M 360 but how many from unique users?far lower than that I'd expect, especially with the RROD fiasco. But yeah, as I said above I think the whole BC thing was a little too late to get people to buy an xbox one to keep their library. Maybe I'm wrong though.
Really good initiative for the gamers, not so much for MS, that's how I see it. But I'm not complaining, I think BC is a cool feature to have and I'm definitely glad MS is sticking with it. I don't think we'll ever actually find out if it was worthwhile for them anyways, so it's all just speculation and everyones entitled to their opinion on that.
We just spent the last year or two converging the Xbox One store with the Windows Store. Please don't ask us to do even more grueling back-end convergence work with the 360 store just so you can use your Microsoft Account credit on back-compat games :-X
We want to build cool new features for you! Not continue to re-architect more and more old stuff!

Wait does dlm work at Microsoft? Can´t you just add the Xbox 360 games as new "Xbox One games" to the current store?
They would not show up on our Xbox 360s obviously but I doubt much people will care moving forward.
Yup, Digital Foundry confirmed frame-rate improvements with Alan Wake's American Nightmare:
http://www.eurogamer.net/articles/d...as-a-gpu-overclock-and-we-have-benchmarked-it
Didn't the Alan Wake games have contrast problems that resulted in, most prominently, a lot of black crush? I got them free with Quantum Break but never installed 'em, just remember hearing that they had some issues.
It did at launch. However, Microsoft released a patch to correct the issues for at least Alan Wake. Can't remember about American Nightmare but I feel like they did. So it's now free of black crush when emulated when I use the standard/limited color space.
I'll queue the downloads when I get home then.![]()
saw this today in reference to Blue Dragon

Nice find. I'm pretty sure Blue Dragon and other MS exclusive JRPGs that they published or co-published will get released in the future.
Spencer already said as much about Blue Dragon (and Lost Odyssey) during this past E3 to Wired, but it's nice to see him mention it again.saw this today in reference to Blue Dragon

I've tweeted phil about VF, if the usual suspects care to RT the request it'd be nice to get some communication going...

Dumb question but if I have new Vegas digitally and buy the ultimate edition can I install the dlc using the second disc and still play the game without the disc in?
Bethesda is charging a lot for all the dlc, the ultimate edition can be had for like $10.
Haven't tried it myself with New Vegas, but this works for my GOTY disc copy of Fallout 3 and the digital version I got from Fallout 4.
