They need to figure out the ability to sell these multi-disc games digitally so EA can go HAM with EA Access (Dead Space 2/3 and Mass Effect 2/3).

Speaking of that I ordered Lost Odyssey off of gamestop.com and only paid $12 with free shipping, will arrive later this week. So excited to play the best Final Fantasy since 10 (to be fair I never played 12, the only mainline FF I haven't played).

Performance was massively improved recently, though some people having crashing issues with Gears 3 now (they're being looked into).

Have they fixed the issues with the Gears BC performance? I am intending to do a play through of 1 - Judgement in anticipation of 4, and I thought Id play through Ultimate for 1, but I recall 2-Judgement had issues with shitty performance when they first launched as BC.

Ideally Id like to just plat it all on my XB1, but if performance issues remain, should I just play it on my 360? Or have they been fixed up in the intervening time? I tried to google it but only found results re: issues when they launched as BC and my work blocks a lot of the content I can access anyhow.

I just finished Judgement last week and ran really well, but crashed once. I never played Gears games back in the 360 to compare but it was a lot better than 2 when I played earlier this year. I also played 3 before the patch and it was good but had a fair share of framerate problems but no crashes.

I'm playing Dead Space for the first time now and I'm enjoying the hell out of it! I hope DS2 becomes BC soon. I also played and finished 'Splosion Man for the first time this week...I'm loving BC! I'll try I Am Alive when it comes on GwG.

I still want a few games like GTA IV and LA Noire...I'd love to have them on a current console.

I don't know if there is any restriction, but a lot of very official looking 360 wireless adaptors are in fact Chinese knockoffs, so that could trigger 3rd party issues.

True, Microsoft stopped manufacturing them in 2010. All those new ones in Microsoft packaging are copies.

The initial release of Xbox One controller is plain and simple ....GARBAGE... loose Thumbtacks.... no head jack..... did I mention loose thumb sticks????

I had a controller from the first release, and the only real issue I had was with the bumpers. Those were tolerable, honestly. Rest of the pad outclassed the 360's to a comical degree.

Try the new Xbox One S controller. It's basically perfect.

Pretty much. Wi-Fi Direct and Bluetooth, so if you want to use it on your PC wirelessly, but don't want to buy a $20 dongle, you can just use a generic Bluetooth adapter.

Still no question that the Elite is better. Better build quality, nice grips, and the paddles. The S is just the 2015 controller model with some minor improvements here and there, while the Elite is a noticeable step above.

Nope. Just like last time (with Gears Ultimate) they do it with two messages, one with 1 and 2, and a second with 3 and Judgment.

I've already gotten both though. The second came 30 minutes after the first for me.

I haven't been on as often as I used to be, but the difference between Gears 3 BC before the most recent patch and after is significant.

Input lag seems gone, and the framerate isn't dropping like crazy, even in higher level horde. I hopped on TDM and had no issues at all due to performance, where as before I was dropping gnasher shots like I just started playing the series.

Edit:apparently the more recent version of the emulator has introduced some nasty crashing issues, so there's that.

Yep, i can confirm the crashing. Shit has completely locked my system twice now in the span of 10 minutes

Guess i will just have to wait until its patched yet again. Its a shame too as they finally fixed the performance!
