Xbox One Backwards Compatibility Thread: Everyone wants it, no one uses it

Resonance of Fate would be brilliant, as I never did get around to it, and either version suffered from tearing and slowdown. Would nab digitally in a heartbeat if bc.

I also never played Crackdown 2, for which my expectations are sufficiently lowered, but I imagine they're sitting on those for Crackdown 3 preorders.

Glad to see Killer is Dead added, I never finished that game.

Sucks that Rage is another "disc-only." I'm not sure I'll be buying a physical copy of that game.

Picked up an used copy of Doom 3 BFG. What's in Killer is Dead LE that you can't find in a used copy? There's a 3€ difference in Gamestops here but there's nothing in the description

So happy that Killer is dead in now BC. I got the special edition a year ago for 20 bucks a game stop NEW. love that game and going to play through it again soon.

Anybody have any idea of how it runs? that game did some pretty amazing looking shit and somehow did not ignite the 360

Speaking of bemoaning games I want that aren't backwards compatible (at least not yet), a recent conversation with friends of mine has reminded me that I desperately, desperately want Bad Company 2 and Battlefield 3 to be backwards compatible.

Like today.

Please.

FFXV, Tomb Raider 1 year exclusive, in talks to bring FFXIV to X1...... I don't think they took a huge shit on them.

I mean, there's like an entire thread dedicated to discussing how Square has all but abandoned the Xbox one.

At launch I was more optimistic, but within the past year or so, I'm firmly in the camp that believes the only reason we got KH3 and FFXV coming is because they were both announced before the systems release (and because FFXV needs to make aloooot of money). The whole TR 1-year thing was just money, and is not really representative of anything else that's been going on.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I don't think a single game Square has approved for BC has been a JRPG, despite them releasing several, including an exclusive.

Considering that they didn't announce any other JRPG after Type-0, it's fair to say that at least the Japanese branch did.

Nier 2
I'm Setsuna
Dragon Quest (Heroes, Builders, XI)
Kingdom Hearts remasters, despite 3 coming to the Xbox One (or is it?)
Final Fantasy X/XII HD
Star Ocean 5

With Setsuna and Nier, you could even say that they swapped the Xbox for Steam. And I'm sure that XII HD is coming to Steam at some point, too.

Its definitely not looking great for Japanese games on the Xbox One.

Everything is about money. You don't think Sony pays them for exclusivity?

KH3 on X1 wasn't announced before the console's release and FFXIII was on X360 so why wouldn't FFXV be?

There aren't that many x360 Square jRPGs

If anyone wants to know RAGE runs perfectly. I've played the first 15 mins and it's smooth as butter 😀 looks really great for a 360 game as well.

I don't think that every S-E game that hasn't come to X1 is because Sony paid for exclusivity. Many Japanese games don't come to XB. Sony isn't paying all these Japanese developers for exclusivity.

Yes it was.

That was June 11th, 2013

Xbox One released in NA November 22nd, 2013.

As for your second part, someone already posted a list of the games we aren't getting, and two of those on that list (Star Ocean and Nier) both had previous titles on the Xbox 360, so I'm not sure what your point is.

And lastly, even if there weren't that many, its still a bit odd not a single one has been made BC. Especially because I own several of them :(

Of course not, but games that could easily be multiplat that are PC/PS4 could definitely be some deal. Considering at this point PC/X1 is almost parity and you can Play Anywhere.

Does anyone here have a problem with playing Black Ops 1 online? It says my NAT is moderate yet in the Xbox One network settings it says it open. And I'm getting D/C from games and being logged out.

When this happens I test the connection and I get the teredo issue which I've googled the hell out of. I've done the port forwarding the every port the Virgin Super Hub 3 allows and yet the issue persists. I cant tel if its just a Black Ops issue or a wider one.

Wired connection btw.

COD games uses a different port you need to open to get open nat

So just so I know to get this to work I also have to have the all the required Xbox 1 ports open in port forwarding?

edit -

lol fuck it I give up. Every port needed is open and everything else required is done. From what I've been reading it could be this SuperHub 3.

Killer is Dead getting support has me so hopeful for Shadows of the Damned. One of the absolute greatest games of last generation.
