Xbox One Backwards Compatibility Thread: Everyone wants it, no one uses it

So, I haven't turned my XB1 on in a while and I really wanted to play Blue Dragon again so I popped it in, but it's taking a ridiculously long time to install. It's been going for like an hour and it's 5% done. This can't be normal, can it?

Edit: Must be something with my WiFi, I switched to ethernet and it's going 60x faster.

It downloads every BC game, that's why it's taking so long. The disc is only there for verification that you own the game.

I've been playing a ton of Blue Dragon since it was released.

Anybody else have any weird sound issues like the one below?

*WARNING THIS IS LOUD AS FUCK*

Friend and I were on the couch playing when it happened and it fractured our souls it was so loud.

Happened to me as well the other day, I did manage to record it too. Seriously, it scared the crap out of me because it was so loud.

But did 360 version receive the patch that fixed the issues? I heard it was only ps3.

If not then its not even worth it.

Last I heard, only the PS3 version was fixed. In fact, it was basically re-ported from scratch by a different company. The "patch" is a massive download for the whole game.

I think they didn't do the 360 version because of patch size limits or something.

This list doesn't do much for me.

360 version will never receive the patch, which is one of the most annoying things I have ever had to experience as a gamer.

Fuck Konami, seriously. Bought the collectors edition and everything for that game.

Thanks for clarifying. I am holding my ps3 version tight. I love this series so much. One of a kind

It doesn't do a ton for me either, but I think it does a lot for "Backwards Compatibility" as far as word of mouth and public awareness...which will only serve the cause of getting all the games we want BC.

I am interested in playing some CoD:MW 2 spec ops though!!!

What's the status of the Saints Row games?

4 is Backwards Compatible (and was GWG) 1-3 aren't but they have been frequently on sale lately. To speculate, I don't know what music licencing deal they have but that's possibly holding them back (4 had the current gen port so maybe they already were covered legally for backwards compatibility?)

They didn't patch the 360 version because "budget constraints", also, the 360 version wasn't bad as ps3 one. It runs somewhat between 50ish fps and 720p. PS3 version pos patch is 1080p locked 60.

I'm hoping that the reason the game performed under 60fps was because of GPU limitations on the 360 -- where things typically pull out a bit ahead in the Xbox One's 360 emulator.

Mass Effect 2 and 3 might become backward compatible today. The DLC for both games are showing up on the Xbox One store. https://www.microsoft.com/en-US/store/search/games?q=Mass+effect&devicetype=xbox

We should know in 20 minutes! Isn't it Mass Effect N7 Day? would make sense

edit: ya, new trailer for Andromeda today, so surprise BC announcement of 2 & 3 seems in the cards also!
edit 2: Yep, they re-did all the boxart to put the banners on the side and the store pages say "available on Xbox One"!

Ermahgerd.gif I see it too now.

If so, I'm running to Gamestop again for the third time in a month and half or so. I'd imagine it would be disc only.

Oh God yes. Looks like I'll finally be finishing ME3.

I was totally expecting a remaster of the ME series instead. Glad they are doing this even though I don't even own or want them on Xbox One.
