Xbox One Backwards Compatibility Thread: Everyone wants it, no one uses it

Hmmm, I already got the Bioshock Collection but I think I'll buy the first Bioshock at the very least on back compat and see if the aiming is better, because they fucked it up hard in the remaster. Not to mention the audio is a mess.
 
Btw just a heads up: there *should* be a Christmas/New Years sale next week, MS haven't said anything about it yet but they do it every year a few days before Christmas, my guess is we get an announcement this week. If you're looking to buy Bioshock I'd wait until then cause they always go dirt cheap.

I don't know about that. Seems like everyone always agrees that Condemned 1 is much better than 2. Like I said, I haven't played Condemned 2 in a long time, but didn't it get pretty bad towards the end? Killing enemies by screaming at them? Way too much gun play?

I'd still like to replay 2 though. I just liked the first one a lot better.
 
Nice to see the Bioshock games pop up, even with the remasters. Honestly wasn't expecting that.

C'mon y'all, Bad Company 2...... any day now.....

EA has been good to BC so far, I hope the trend continues.
 
I know you specifically had the smilie there but in general people should get that the OP is a big Xbox fan so the title will always always get a pass. It's a light-hearted joke.
 
I really hope to see:

Dead Space 2
Dead Space 3
Assassin's Creed: Rogue
Call of Duty: Black Ops II

I know a lot of the games can often run at a more consistent frame rate than on 360, but I do kinda think it is a shame they can't patch them to have a better resolution and anti-aliasing where appropriate. Red Dead Redemption seems to have a lot more jaggies than I remember.

I really think minutes 13-18 are crucial for everyone here to listen to who always complain about MS "wasting time" releasing games like Shotest Shogi instead of BLOPS2 or the like

Like I've been trying to say all along...some games "just work" when they pass through the program, so they can release them right away, while others take a long time because people are actually playing them and sometimes need to play through them A LOT. I think its really important to understand that they DO look at user voice for the order to put the games into the program

I remember wishing that interview had been longer. I feel like I could listen to BC talk for hours, it's fascinating IMO.

Yes, it is the Barbie Horse Adventures scenario all over again. That OG Xbox game became BC on 360 and people complained bitterly because that game made it to the BC list whereas their favorites did not or came after.

Here is a quote from Albert Penello from a Gamespot interview in 2006:

Last update months ago basically eliminated the frame drops that went below the X360 version's level of performance and it now outperforms the original at what seems like a locked 30fps in Showdown Town.

I really wish more people that complain about BC release would take the time to educate themselves on the subject. Not only are their technical hurdles as stated in that interview and the one from Major Nelson's podcast, but now add legal to it. The original releases never had licenses to allow for live streaming or screenshots. Those things have to have a waiver or a license bought or renewed as well.
