Xbox One Backwards Compatibility Thread: Everyone wants it, no one uses it

Awesome for MS to make list odyssey free for a limited time. Was thinking of buying it used in the fiture.

Does anyone else think blue dragon will be part of games for gold in January?

Great news on the freebie download! I feel like there's been a huge backwards compatibility push in time for the holidays...

Red Dead Redemption was obviously huge.
Mass Effect 1-3 (free in the EA Access Vault) and Bioshock trilogy for blockbusters.
Burnout Paradise and Forza Horizon for racers.
Lost Odyssey and Blue Dragon for JRPGs as Final Fantasy XV hits.
Injustice, Tekken Tag Tournament and Virtua Fighter IV in the face of Street Fighter V exclusivity.

Loving the chance to revisit so many of these (or play them for the first time in the case of Bioshock 2/Mass Effect 3).

That might be a little soon but I do hope it and the Fable games come to GWG at some point. I have disk copies but I really like having digital licenses too.

Bioshock Infinite does not grant you the DLC if you don't own it but oddly the DLCs themselves are all 80mbs or so - must mean it's in the main game itself but locked out with those unlock DLC? Framerate is about the same as 360, still not much higher than 30fps in most places.

Were these two games not available digitally before? Man I really want to see more BC games going digital.
I'm pretty sure that, at this point, the only games in the list of 300+ backwards compatible titles that are not available digitally are:
  1. Doom 3 BFG Edition
  2. Mass Effect 2&3 (though they are digital downloads from the EA Access Vault, so kind of?)
  3. OFP: Red River
  4. Pure
  5. Rage

I'm hoping that BD and LO becoming available digitally is a sign that the above list might as well. I really want Doom 3, ME2+3, and Rage digitally, as well as Dead Space 2 and 3 when they inevitably become BC.

Pure was pulled due to licencing reasons I believe, as I had previously purchased it digitally on sale, and so was able to download it directly from my Ready to install.

Booted up LO last night, sucks I dont have my save anymore but oh well. I played for a little while man it still looks great and it seemed to run great as well. This is so awesome of MS to do. Hopefully way more people get to experience this masterpiece now.

Raskulls is a nice underrated platformer and I'm glad it's getting some attention as it's a 360 XBLA exclusive. Thanks MS!

I picked up Catherine on sale recently in hopes it would go BC and I'm glad to see the gamble paid off. Bully is a nice get as well, though I have no desire to replay it.

please help me get around region lock for catherine. It isnt available digitally in India. I need it now. No physical copy in any store here althgouh it did release here physically on 360 at launch.

How do I switch region to USA and buy it for India?

I use the Hotspot shield extension for chrome. Once you purchase the game, you can download it on the X1 without any region restriction.
