The other estimates I've seen recently have been at 35+m. I also remember about 1.3m total sales last year, and that just keeps slowing down. I'd be surprised if they're at 37m already. Hitting 40m lifetime sales seems permanently out of reach given the trends.

I think hardware revenue includes shit like controllers and stuff not just consoles, so this wouldn't be accurate.

Welfare has consistently overestimated the volume of Xboxes sold this gen.

Hardware revenue is not only Consoles, it also includes controllers, ssd expansions headsets etc.

I know they raised the prices but I still can't really process it. If you asked me how much a Xbox console costs now, I wouldn't know anymore, it's like I completely mentally checked out. So every time I see it in the store, I feel woozy again. I think the S is really cool, I got a cheap used one, but to think I'd paid that amount for it I get nauseous.

Pretty sure MS will no longer lower the price, and I don't think it has anything to do with taxes either. The consoles are, at least in my country, hardly available offline anymore. MS has basically ended the console hardware business without officially pulling the plug.

So few people buy them, increasing the price won't hurt sales very much. And you'll still have a few players locked into that ecosystem who want a second one, or to replace their S with an X, or whatever. Personally, if I wanted a Series S, I see them on Marketplace for $150 all the time near me.

His methodology has been flawed as I have explained. Plus you have a known leaker in here telling us it's sub-30.

I think the biggest tell that their sales aren't good is the fact they're not announcing anything about them. Microsoft has become much more PR-oriented under Satya's reign and it shows.

Yes they are. Every worldwide sales tracker has them over 30M end of last year, Take Two reported 107M PS5's and XBS end of last year, and PS5 was <75M
