Xbox World 360 asks: "What game is this?"

How the hell can it be Goldeneye? Nintendo owns the rights to the game, the design and the coding, and Activision owns the rights to the Bond license.

Not that GAF needs another thread about this but, you don't know that.

People always question the validity of releasing Goldeneye in this day and age, but I never hear the same when, say, Doom did it. Apart from the AI, I can't think of any aspects that age the game that can't be fixed technically (control, frame rate etc).

This is Xbox World 360, theres no way they have a super-big exclusive, Arcade title makes sense, XBLA remake of Goldeneye a few days after it's announced at GDC makes a lot of sense.

Rare coming out with Banjo + their second arcade title at GDC makes a lot of sense too.

Did anyone say Banjo yet, I am going to guess this is Banjo. No on knows what that is about yet except that it is "not a traditional platformer". Maybe the game places the duo in a realistic world for them to do platforming in>?

There was a control method to use two controllers. It was badass.

It was badass, but AFAIR it was hard to do some things...whether it was reloading or changing weapons, I forget.

That said, I wouldn't mind the classic 1 analog controls as well, and using the face buttons for movement.

Im sick of using c buttons, the second analog is the c buttons, like on the GC controller.

I just hope that they program the analog stick so it "adds" up the movement like it did when using the c-buttons.

If you put the two ground pictures side by side, you get a perfect fit.

That's the best I was able to come up with.

The shadows in the corners seem to go together really well.
This would also show the sun is in the same spot for both pics, so that makes a bit more sense.

I really dunno what it is. I can see the Goldeneye in there, but I hope it isn't.

I'm tired of M$ relying on shooters, lately.

They go on top of each other, check the bluer lines, they fit 100%

So basically they got 1 or 2 screenshots and chopped them up. LAME

If it is Goldeneye, I wonder what team is working on it. It's been a year since their XBLA team released a game (Jet Pac). The last scribes said the Viva Piñata team is going to release a new game this year, a retail game. They would be working on that project for 18 months at this point. Then there's the PDZ team which has had 2 and a half years and the Conker team which has had three years.

Man, Rare has a lot of teams. And what's the Kameo team working on? We need more Rare games!

If Rare is doing a GoldenEye remake, I don't think it's the Viva Team game they mentioned in Scribes. The Scribes post said the game would be hitting shops this year, so it's not an XBLA game, as a GoldenEye remake assumedly would be. I guess it could be a full blown retail release, but that seems like a pretty risky move.

Rare would not be able to do a high-end Goldeneye remake on the arcade anyway.
