Xenoblade Chronicles 3 is Releasing on July 29, 2022

Well that was not my point, but anyway Danjin.

I was re-reading Welcome to the NHK these days and I've noticed how the characters look pretty generic.
Regardless, the story was nice and the characters' personalities were the high point.

So even though I complain a lot about those big budget projects needing to have better designed characters, at the end of the day it's their personalities and how they overcome their struggles that matter the most.
In my top 5 manga of all time. Anime is amazing too

It's still the same lineup as Xenoblade 1 and 2, expect Mariam Abounnasr. I think she worked on Mitsuda' studios.
I'm hoping Shimomura Yoko also come back. She was in 1.
My point still stands, regardless.
However, I wonder how much involvement Mitsuda will have in XB3, since he only technically contributed one song in XB1.

Yeah, Xenoblade music are always a treat, even Xenoblade X.
Probably the same as Xenoblade 2, Mitsuda compose many songs. I think the number is it's pretty even between each composers?

Another big brain video from Miiks:

I'm currently replaying Xenoblade Chronicles Definitive Edition and Xenoblade Chronicles 2 for preparation for the 3rd game, question is can I finish them before it comes out?

lol same. I already finished Xenoblade 2 when it came out. But still haven't finished Torna, currently playing it. Finished Xenoblade 1, but currently also playing Xenoblade 1 DE, still not finished. Still haven't touched Future Connected too.

I'm hoping I can at least finish Xenoblade 1 DE before MHRise Sunbreak drops in.

I like XC DE, but the combat is frustrating at times. The game can be a lot fun, but it's battle system feels pointless at times. I'll be playing for a while and then hit a point where my party is basically useless. They set you up to knock an enemy down, use a character that can deal elemental damage, etc. I do agree in that the story is pretty good. Maybe it's the variety of moves and the fact that it's real time. They make overcoming a difficult battle feel like a game of luck.

I do love later iterations for their quality of life improvements.

Combat is much better in the sequel.

I'm all about the evasion tank. This kitty will only need one life because you will not be able to touch her.

A lot of good info. Use your browser to machine translate. Confirms you can switch characters in real time on the field and in battle.

Is because Akira Toyama, is that right? Always love that in DQ series.

Can't understand why that netflix animation don't have his style at all.

I translated to english using my browser.

"The characters that can be operated are 6 Noahs. Each of the six people has a role and challenges the battle."

So only one playable character then? :messenger_tears_of_joy:

I refreshed myself on Xenoblade Chronicles 2 last week. What a fantastic game. I am going through Torna for the first time right now. I can't wait for Xenoblade Chronicles 3. It is just more Xenoblade goodness. The OST for 2 is perfect for the game. Every location has such a great BGM, and the climatic moments in the story have perfect tracks. I had such a wonderful time retreading it. Damn, July can't come soon enough! Enjoying Torna a lot too!

Pneuma best girl, by far.

Danjin44 Danjin44 Unrelated to XB3 but sort of related. Is the physical release of the Switch Torna DLC its own individual thing from the main game or nah? Or is it the original game WITH the expansion?

I have only played through the first opening hours of Torna, but it seems like it expands on Addam and Gin's story in the past. When I first played Xeno2 back in 2017, I always thought it was odd how they never went into Addam's story at all and what Gin's whole deal was with the red haired girl. This game seems to address all those missing details. I mean, they were sorta there in the main game, but not nearly enough to give a full picture. The Torna group had a lot of characters that just didn't get enough time in the oven, so I hope this side game rectifies that.

I dunno how I feel about them ripping the story up and putting it into a separate game. I hope they don't do that for Xenoblade 3, or at the least, let the story feel complete in the vanilla game and if they want to add more story do it as a sequel DLC or side game like Xenoblade DE.

Character changes during battle!? I've been hoping for this since the first game! Intact I wish they'd patch 1 and 2 with this feature as it would make the combat infinitely more fun. Do we have video confirmation of this? The latest video I only saw them switching outside of battle....dont want to get my hopes too high.

No video confirm yet just paragraph translated into English stating it.

I think it makes sense. Xenoblade 2 is about Rex's story. After you play Torna and then replay Xenoblade 2, you'll appreciate Xenoblade 2 more.

You can change character outside battle in Torna. Just press ZL for different teams or down on d-pad for blades.
Such a gorgeous cover art, why does special edition have to be Nintendo store exclusive?

So they'll get full price without retailer cut? lol

I like that Lanz's weapons is basically Greatsword in Monster Hunter, down to how heavy it feels when he swings that giant sword.

Special editions of XCX and XC remaster are great, the art book is very high quality. Will definitely grab the special edition of XC3.

Oh I know. Talking about during battle, which that article claimed. Can't wait to see this in action and hoping it's true.

Yeah, I hope so too. Still can't imagine which button will it be. Seems almost all buttons are used in the battle.

I'm not 100% sure on this but when you use Tactical ZL, there is also L and R with character's name on it, I think thats how you switch between characters.
