Xenoblade Chronicles 3 is Releasing on July 29, 2022

The last important detail is can you switch job classes on the fly in combat or mix and match abilities through some kind of class leveling system. If the answer is no, I'm going to just leave them all in their traditional roles. I see no reason to experiment with having an uneven amount of each class in battle.
That I we still dont know, this game no longer has the blade system that you switch during the battle but I can see the usefulness for having more attacker on your team, specially against some super bosses.

I just started it. I think I played a few hours on the Wii version.

I'm liking the DE version so far. Only at the mines.

So far so good and it may make me pick up 2
It's a huge game, you'll see :)

I did the 2 before the 1, no logic there. I'm like 60 hours in the 1st one, I really should clear it before the 3.

Yea that was my biggest complaint with the past Xenoblade games, I was hoping they'd do something this time, but it's just as bad but now we've got 6 HP bars.

They nature of how Xenoblade combat works you can't escape busy UI. but for me Xenoblade 3 UI is much more clean compare to previous games especially the fact you have now 6 active party members in battle.

I think they want to make it real-time but with the complexity of turn-based RPG. That's why you need that much information on the screen. The UX in Xenoblade 2 are much better than in Xenoblade 1 (and X). Choosing arts are not great. You need to push d-pad several times. The current UI is similar to FF14 if you play with gamepad.
Are ACE+ composing XC3 with Mitsuda again? They don't get enough shout outs their music is top tier.
Already confirmed it's the same as 2:
-Yasunori Mitsuda
-ACE
-Kenji Hiramatsu (ACE+ was ACE with Kenji Hiramatsu. They separated them in Xenoblade 2)
-Mariam Abounnasr (new, made some arrangements in Xenoblade 2. She works in Mitsuda's studio)

Yeah I realize that. That's why with the third coming out it is a lot to tackle. It's got an interesting loop so far. Battles are engaging enough and so far the difficulty is well balanced. And I am interested in the world and story. And it looks clean on my setup with a1080p monitor.

Wasn't interested in 2 much because of the characters but I may give it a shot. Xwas the game that looked like it matched my taste the most but never got a WiiU

I never understand this complain, I'm currently replaying both XC1&2 for preparation when 3rd game drops in.

I like XC1's characters but XC2's characters is much more flash out compare to the first game.

In XC1 Shulk is the most important characters and rest don't get development compare to him but XC2 characters like Nia and Zeke get as much development and character moments as Rex do.

I'll be clear I'm talking strictly style and design. I don't know about the story. I just never liked the title player character but fusing like 1 you can swap him out completely.

Some people can't stand playing because of the character design. I at least know two people who are like this, one of them is my wife lol.

When XC2 first show off the characters I was unsure of it but after play playing the game they grew on me and later I end up loving the character designs and now XC2 currently my favourite Xenoblade game.

I love Xenoblade 2 too. I never cared much about character design. As long as the story or the gameplay are good, I'll enjoy it.
My wife really like Shin Megami Tensei V, but she always complains about the main character design lol

I expect that we'll get a X remaster / republish along the way on the Switch. The 2 is good on the gameplay side but characters are meh. Story is okayish.

Hey guys and gals, I'm curious about XB2 so when looking (a a trusted Dutch website, think amazon) and I saw this digital version for like 30€ (physical goes between 50 and 65)

You think this is legit?

Digital is that much for the expansion.

Physical is selling for double retail because they never print many of these games. Least that's what I've seen here in the states

Yeah got on the phone with them just now and you're probably right. I'm such a cheapskate. Getinng an email coming days. So we'll see. Thanks for your response mate

My reasoning was it was the full game with expansion because it was a digital copy.

Late night shopping 🤡

I think that is just Torna expansion too but I'm not sure.

I would hope so.

I'm just waiting for the day Nintendo, Square-Enix and MonolithSoft finally collaborate and do Xenogears remake. Especially considering the game has still not ever been released in Europe officially.

I don't know what Uitbreiding means, but it seems it's the season pass for Xenoblade 2? Not just the Torna DLC. I don't know if you can run Torna from season pass without the main game. If you buy it as a standalone, it's no problem.

Uitbreiding means Expansion.

I had my doubts but thougt maybe I'm luck and discounted because it's digital. Even the woman on the phone acknowledged the poor destruction. Oh well

The expansion is stand alone as far as I know, at least physical.
It also available digitally: https://www.nintendo.com/store/products/xenoblade-chronicles-2-torna-the-golden-country-switch/
I heard Torna is well sad eh.

I'm gonna try and sync things up so I finish Torna right as XC3 is releasing so I don't have to sit around crying about it like a lil bitch
I just finished Torna and I think it's more sad if you have played the main game.

The cutscenes looks really good, they definitely improved their engine, I also notice overal animation during gameplay also improved.

I wouldn't be surprised if they implemented temporal upscaling to the engine. They were already heavily using Temporal Anti Aliasing in XB2 and XB1 Definitive Edition.

As rad as XC: DE and XC2 were, the dynamic resolution that lead to extreme blurriness was wiggedy wiggedy wiggedy whack.

Don't get me wrong, I love the art of XC, I'll be there day one.

But if nothing has changed with their tech, visiting another incredible Xenoblade world on the switch will be like looking at the Sistine Chapel after rubbing vaseline in my eyes
