No way... I stopped believing. This is imo by far the best Xenoblade game because it has the best endgame and build variety.

I hope they fixed the sound mix a bit, sometimes the music was so loud that you couldn't understand any dialogue in cutscenes. lol.

I just hope we get all outfits, because iirc the Japanese had a couple we didn't but I could remember wrong here. If we get the censored outfits then I hope they did a better job this time around, they were terribly edited and looked hideous in the original game.

On the other hand the censorship never made sense to me because

Yeah, it’s not a bad game it’s just such a letdown compared to Woolly World. Hard to imagine how both games came from the same dev team.

That… would be a lot. I think it’ll get the typical Definitive Edition treatment, and get an epilogue. Like 1 got. It’s a 300+ hour game, other than tweaks and updates it really doesn’t need a bunch more content. It’s packed to the brim with stuff as it is. It’s a gargantuan game.

That year, I consumed Xenoblade 1 and 2 right after the other, and then Xenoblade 3 was released right after. Maybe I'm alone, but I liked Xenoblade 3, but it wasn't my favorite. I actually liked Xenoblade 1 the best.

How related is this one to the 3 mainline games? Is it just like a side thing?

It's thematically similar, but unrelated story-wise. Similar to how Xenogears and Xenosaga are set in the same universe but also have nothing to do with Xenoblade. Or do they? There are a lot of fan theories.

As the sun set on our conversation, I ask Takahashi a question that's admittedly predictable, but burns my soul nevertheless: "Is there a chance we'll see a port of the Wii U's Xenoblade Chronicles X on the Switch?" Like many excellent games on the failed console, Xenoblade Chronicles X faded into relative obscurity and is deserving of new life on the Switch.

"Well, the future at present is unclear," Takahashi says, which is the same answer I received when I ask about the possibility of a Xenoblade Chronicles 3. "Personally speaking, I'd love to play the game on the Switch, but it would be really difficult to make it."

When it comes to roadblocks that stand in the way of Xenoblade Chronicles X on the Switch, Takahashi's answer is simple.

"Money," he laughs. "It's a massive game. Re-creating it would be really difficult."

With so many Wii U ports popping up on the Switch, it's easy to forget developers can't just wave a magic wand that dumps code from one console to the next.
