did they increase the draw distance inside the city? because it was kinda fucking whack to see massive mechas just materialize 5m in front of me...
collision detection for cars would also be nice, as them having zero collision was also whack.

Game has its flaws (like the rest of the series) but this is my favorite of the Xenoblade games.
I think it has the coolest environments by far. And the exploration and traversal just feel so much better. You run really fast, jump really far, there’s no fall damage, and you get giant robots that can transform into wheeled vehicles and eventually fly.

In the WiiU version, that is a pickup armor skin, in the Switch shot, that's her default outfit, so no censorship there. I'm sure we won't get the boob slider though as it will probably be based on the American/Euro version.

That was immediately my first thought. Without the boob slider, it can't be definitive. I'm pretty petty when it comes to stuff like that. I didn't buy it at first because of that, but when I saw it on clearance for $10 at Walmart a few months later, I couldn't resist. Oh boy was that a lot of bang for my buck. I also never bought Tokyo Mirage Sessions because I saw a video on how it was censored, even though it's the kind of game that's right up my alley.
Regardless of the probable censorship, I can't resist having the whole Xenoblade series on one system. If, however, they do add the boob slider back in, my jaw will hit the floor. Maybe if enough woke garbage games keep failing, they'll pivot back the other direction. Not likely, but a man can dream...

I remember back in 2018 Eurogamer had an interview with Takahashi and he basically said No to the idea of a Switch port of XCX, basically owing to how big the game is, and how much time and money it would take to convert it. Maybe money’s not a problem anymore, both for Nintendo and Monoloth? 
But more importantly, in the official Xenoblade soundtrack sleeve, he said he wanted to make Xenoblade 3 and X2, AND a new IP. Well, fast forward to 2024 and we’ve got 1 out of 3 now. And given how many people have been speculating about a new IP from them for years now, I wouldn’t be surprised if we’re two out of 3 by the launch window of Switch 2. Add to that, Nintendo may have deliberately wanted the XCX port out by March to give plenty of breathing room and time to build up the X spin-off brand, if there is an X2 being made. Wouldn’t that be something?!

Well i bought the EUR collectors edition and the game was my personal favorite, even if i was a bit pissed about the boob slider. But i would appreciate it i wouldn't have to hack another console and play the restored version again

I have extremely fond memories of playing X with the Pro controller, and having the GamePad on the couch right next to me, constantly picking it up to fast travel or see what was going on with mining, etc.
Without that always available second screen, I hope they’ve tweaked the UI.

Nintendo land, playing local multiple on the tablet was cool. Having map and inventory on the tablet for many games too. Zombie U was very good with tablet.
What if the Switch 2 have that cap ability in dock mode!

I didn't love it the first time around, but I'm willing to give it another chance. I'm curious what the additional story content is going to look like - the original was waaaaaay too sparse on that front, and then the last like ten minutes of the game were super cool and intriguing. That was frustrating.
I also think this means that the last WiiU games that I really want to make the leap over are Yoshi's Wooly World and the two Zelda remakes. Someday.

I’m guessing this game will has its own extra chapter after you done with main story like Future Connected in XCDE.
Also character models are HUGE upgrade over original release. Get ready for greatest open world JRPG ever created, to this day no one matched the scale of this game.

I had a really hard time getting into this game. It was extremely lacking in story. I struggle with the Chronicle games due to the battle system.
I WILL pick this up, for no other reason than to complete the xeno collection on switch. Hoping something will click this time around and I'll be able to finish it.
