Got this today and ended up playing it for most of the day. I played XC3 years ago but never finished it.

It's so overwhelming at first, there are just so many systems. The funny part is that the game keeps throwing tutorials at me for things I already figured out on my own. A nice little pat on the back, I guess.

But honestly, I'm loving everything Ive played so far. It's kind of magical that this even runs on my Switch Lite

Oh, and one of the most astounding moments was when I zoomed out and realized there's way more to the map than that initial section. The scale is pretty insane

I wanted to like this at its original release, but the worst thing a game can do to me is bombard me with a whole city and a barrage of tutorials within the first hour. I need to learn games in steps, not leaps. I'm sure it's a great game, but that first impact was too much for me.

Yes, this game still suffers from the Monolith Soft tutorial problem. They just recently fixed the problem in Xenoblade 3.

I tried with this remaster and felt the same as the first time. Couldn't get into it. Don't like the characters or the battle system. Thankfully its not story connected to 1-3.

There is a lot to learn yeah, but it is by far the most interesting open-world game I have played.
