That ball is pretty useless. I was looking something in the hangar. Like a key or something, and it point to nowhere.Use your ball thing.

so that's who you get it, I was asking yesterday.Yeah the dupe+boosters are essential. I only got as high as I did after I got the booster g2 from finishing Primordia's collectopedia.
How do I use the ball?

Flying is awesome, but i wish the music didn't change and restart every time you jump.
Man, I have no idea where the Devil's Colony is in Oblivia. Need it for a quest, can't find it.
Edit: never mind hehe.
51 hours in, nearing lvl 40... I'm never going to stop playing this game right?
Haven't you seen any of the trailers? lol
Probably a very old simple question (I've had barely any time to play the game since launch), but are melee skills considered "physical" damage? I'm currently on the Duelist class, was using the skill that increased my melee damage, but I see that I got a skill through Samurai Gunner that increases "physical" damage, so I'm not sure if that affects my melee attacks/arts as well?

I think (but am not 100% sure) that "physical" damage is a type of damage that both melee and ranged weapons can inflict, as opposed to "electric", "thermal", "gravity"-type damage, etc.
If you look at your weapon details I think it'll also indicate what type of damage it inflicts - like I've seen a knife that inflicts gravity-type damage, etc.

Check your weapons in the equipment screen. Damage type for every Gun and Melee weapon is categorized as being physical/ether/etc... If the weapons you have equipped are physical dmg types, then bonus should be passively applied. If you are equipping weapons that do ether dmg, consider trading out.
Well, this was unexpected. Spoilers for a normal mission...
Yet another alien race joining New LA from not even an Affinity quest, but just a Normal mission, the. And then this opened a couple of other quests related to them in NLA.zaruboggan or something
The world building that comes from some of these normal quests is really surprising.
Are there any good maps online yet that show all the probe locations in good detail?
liking the game a lot overall right now, but holy crap i've never heard a soundtrack so hit and miss. there is some good stuff in here, and then there is some god awful stuff. really strange
Is it just me or do the later side quests take a dark turn? NLA residents dropping like flies.

The only thing I don't like is how the main missions are locked behind affinity missions. Why not just incorporate the affinity missions into the main mission, then? Finding where the mission you are forced to make is gets annoying very quickly. Also, the game should sort the party members by itself, so you don't need to go looking for other team members around NLA or remove other members.
It's making me get in the habit of saving before taking some of them on that's for sure. They're a great step up from most of the original's subquests where there was hardly any actual development. Is it just me or do the later side quests take a dark turn? NLA residents dropping like flies.

I just completed Chapter 7. I'm missing 4 AM's at the moment, and I don't really know how to get them.
I tried looking at the locator spreadsheet earlier, and it's...not very helpful. Too complicated and it doesn't tell me what certain things mean so I can decipher stuff.
Overall, this game doesn't tell you jack and it's very frustrating despite being very enjoyable. I know people have told me to look at Manual (I have) and told me to see the Survival Guides on youtube (I have) but it's clearly an oversight on their part for a game that is insanely complicated. Hell, I don't even know how to easily access additional party members (The story NPC's, not online players). For everything I do know, I feel like I'm missing 3 more things and I never had this problem with XC on Wii.

Aside from the one gained at the end of chapter 5 I'm pretty sure all other AMS come from sidequests.I just completed Chapter 7. I'm missing 4 AM's at the moment, and I don't really know how to get them.

Can you block or dodge enemy attacks during battle?
I like it a lot because it encourage exploration of NLA. You walk around to find the affinity missions learn gossip that tell where some are, heart-to-hearts, etc. The icons for the affinity mission are relatively easy to see from a distance. You may stumble upon our stuff you find interesting.
I also like that characters hang out at their set locations some of which have them talking with others. It makes the world feel alive. Once you know where they are it's easy to go back.
Also it would be really weird with how many party members there are if they all just hang out in the meeting room.
They also relocate to their heart-to-heart locations at certain times. It's the coolest feeling to stumble upon them doing something in the world. Makes them feel very independent of you.
This is, hands down, the most epic battle to ever grace an RPG:
99% of the cutscene music is terribly misplaced. Only time where I thought it genuinely worked was in the Chapter 5 climax.
THAT BEING SAID the marks on the map that indicate what's in that hex seem...inaccurate. A number of them that label where missions are or affinity missions or treasure boxes or tyrants...aren't actually there.
The creature design in this game is something else.
Some of the late-game indigens... damn.
edit: I see four slots for traveling companions, but many hours in, I've only gotten Tatsu. Does that ever change?
Monolith are being wasted on this series - their true calling has always been Tokyo Jungle.
What if Disaster: Day of Crisis 2 is in production right now and this was a test game for it.
